I am on the fence with this product due to a few quality control issues experienced. I will have to test it over the winter to see if it was worth the hassle. 1) Self Adhesive tape issues: About 1/3 of my 500 sq ft roll either didn't have the self adhesive strip or it was too far from edge to adhere to the previous run's overlap. It looked like the tape roll was swapped in the middle of my roll being produced and then broke a few times which left runs without any self adhesive tape. I ended up having to make an extra trip to buy my own seal tape.... 2) Punctured Padding: The outer part of the roll had random punctures in the top few layers and required repairing\sealing as it was rolled out. 3) The bottom reflective barrier was not properly adhered to the rest of the pad in multiple sections. This didn't cause a big issue when installing but the separation when unrolling or trimming was noticeable and a bit concerning as to the quality and ultimate efficiency of the product.

Best underlay for our laminate flooring. Reduces noise and Kees the floor warm.

good to lay, easy to cut. Noticeable noise reduction and super isulation. Only disturbing is the smell when unpacking.

product was very easy to work with. i was happy with the quantity that was available as my project is small and a little different. i am using it under 3/4" plywood over aluminum diamond plate–the plywood will be finished with flooring. it is the future floor of an rv, using a 1960 gmc gruman olson step van as a base. the sound and moisture barriers are both welcome.

I don't know why anyone would use anything else as an underlayment. Miles ahead of any other product. I bought it for the thermal properties, which I am very happy with, but it is also very comfortable to walk on and easy to install. Worth every penny

Absolutely Recommend!!! Makes each floor warm we installed (different styles of laminate vinyl aqua seal flooring) under your bare feet--you can feel the heat radiate under your feet while on the floor and makes you warm. Definitely worth the extra $ spent to have this. We have a concrete floor basement underneath with no heat down there--but you cannot feel any cold at all. Buy it--you will be glad you did.

This product came in fine, but I cannot get an update on flooring I ordered on July 2nd and the charges hit my credit card three weeks ago.

Quieter and warmer than I expected under a natural (naildown) hardwood floor.

This material does not block any sound, totally not worth the extremely expensive price. I installed it in one bedroom under the drywall (No other insulation); and since it didn't block any sound, I had to remove the drywall, insulate with mineral wool and re-install the drywall. As a Moisture Barrier it works good, but Does this material blocks heat and cold? Maybe. I didn't test for that and that is the only reason I'm giving it 2 stars instead of one. Save yourself a few hundred bucks and a lot of frustration, don't buy this staff because once you cut it there is no money back as advertised!!!

The name says it all “Silent Silver”. This product really cuts out the extra noise that comes with having laminate flooring. I’m happy with the product.

This underlayment is excellent and just what we were hoping for. We are using it in our basement and it has warmed up the area.
