[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installed a wooden fence with a gate. After the installation noticed that the gate was sagging. After diagnosing that the hinges were not strong enough for the job, I replaced them with the Extra Heavy T Hinges and that solved the problem.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband was building me an outside bench for around our fire pit. I needed ti to be large and sturdy to hold a few plus size people. I also wanted it to have a place under it to hold extra firewood and fire starters and such. He used these hinges for the seat to lift up to make my wishes come true. When a couple of us sat down to see if we felt safe it was perfect sand easy open to get in and out of it.

There is a nice weight to them, however we used our own screws, the ones that came with them seemed to small, but they were easy to install and come two in a pack.

The hinges I used prior to these were not strong enough to hold the gate up and the gate would sag. These hinges are strong and hold my gate up very well! Super easy to open and close now!

They have a black powder coat finish that looks very durable. The bearings are very smooth and they come with large mounting screws. These hinges should last a very long time. Great product.

They are extremely strong and make the gate very sturdy. I honestly don't think they will ever have to be replaced, hard to find good material like this these days.

I would definitely recommend these extra heavy T-hinges for gates or shed doors because they are strong and durable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would not desribe my 5" National Hardware Extra Heavy T Hinges as "extra heavy" They are well made with little slop in the barrel (with bushings) They have an exterior coating (not visible) which should help slow down the rusting process. The metal seems typical of other zinc hinges I have used. I can bend (with some force) the long leg with my fingers, which to me would be at best medium to heavy duty.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a place in the country with a barn and lots of gates. National is a well-known brand, and their hardware is very sturdy. We use these heavy-duty T hinges on our gates, and we find they're strong and last for years. That's all we buy!

I used 3 hinges on each of two 5' wide gates weighing roughly 100 pounds each. The hinges support the gates perfectly. I didn't use the screws that game with the gates, but instead used 1/4" lag screws.
