I was worried about the fit, but they did a great designing it for the mailbox post. It's not the brightest light after a rainy overcast day,. Our driveway solar lights are much brighter, even after two years. But, it is just enough to keep the snow plow from hitting the mailbox.
Overall, I would recommend a better solar charging solution, but we like the light and would get it again. It tops/finishes the mailbox post nicely.

Easy to install and looks very nice on my mailbox...
Easy to install and looks very nice on my mailbox post. The only down-side is that it emits a cool white light instead of a warm white light. (which would have matched my other landscape lighting). But that's just a personal preference, not a defect.

Thanks for the review. Our solar cap is designed to illuminate the post so it can be detected in the dark. It doesn't offer the same amount of light as a light fixture. Thanks again!

The light does not shine very much light, if any at all. It also does not last long at all, despite getting a full day of sunshine.

Thanks for taking the time to review our product! Our solar caps are designed to offer some illumination on the top of the post so it can be detected in the dark. How bright it shines is definitely affected by how much direct light it gets daily. It will not give off enough light to replace a light fixture. Great light, easy to install.
Looks great! Lights up bright enough to see it while parking at night. It won't light up the ground around the post but i don't know why you would need that.

Replaces my existing Solar Cap light that was a casualty of this seasons snow storms. It has been improved since i last ordered one. It now takes only one AA sized rechargeable battery and light is a bit brighter. Nice improvement. Shipping was excellent and priced competitively.

This solar light cap is supposedly designed to fit the Mayne mailbox post that I bought - it does not! Either the post or the light cap is not sized properly. I had to use a Dremel to grind down the top of the post so that the cap would fit. The light is nice but even on the brightest day, it becomes verydim after only a few hours.
