I added the Mayne Solar Cap to top off a Dover mailbox/post. The light is bright enough to see, but not so bright that it is distracting. Received compliments from neighbors on the first day we installed our new mailbox/post. Very classy looking!

The light looks nice and functions properly, but the amount of light it gives off is well below any other solar lights that I've used and have. I like having a solar light on my mailbox, but I could've gone without this option, since it's expensive and the mailbox looks nice without it.

This was my second Mayne solar cap. The first one lasted over 5 years. Despite having street lights, my residence is in a relatively dark rural community. The cap looked pretty and was bright enough to keep folks from hitting my mailbox and facilitated mail removal at night. I normally replace the battery once or twice a year, as the colder darker winters in the mid-Atlantic take its toll on battery life. And every so often, taking the top off for a clean keeps it bright. After 5 years, the light finally went out and as I looked for a replacement lamp, somebody hit my mailbox! I now have a new Mayne solar cap. I am a female and a senior, but a step ladder (I’m just over 5 ft tall) and a drill got the job done. A second set of hands would have made it easier but it is doable without. Definitely adds to the beautiful Mayne mailbox.

I really like the light but it’s not bright at all

Super easy to put on, and looks great with my Mayne mailbox post! Not a huge amount of light, but it’s a great accent and makes the numbers on my mailbox easy to see. Perfect addition !

Needs a template to assemble on top of pole.

The item was left in the sun for over a week and only once did it show a glimmer. Thankfully we tried it before actually attaching to the post. However, the return was easy.

The solar cap is the perfect finishing touch to this mailbox. The light is very subtle yet stands out just enough to distinguish your address. I highly recommend this item.

It was broken - poor customer service

The Solar cap is easy to install but i haven't seen it light-up once till now and it's been more than a month since we installed. I shall call customer service and see what they can do.
