Ordered countertops in Marengo looking for a nice neutral color. Installed two years ago as part of a kitchen remodel and still looks beautiful. Have had no problems with it.

So little but came in a big box, seems as though it could have been shipped in something much more appropriate-like a padded envelope.

Sample was received as described.

This sample is just too small to be useful. Also, for $10 you could send a bigger piece, especially since the sample is so thin.

Not worth the purchase. The item is so small and thin, it doesn't represent the actual color.

The sample you get is completely different from the actual counter tops. The sample has a greyish hue to it but thee actual counter tops are blue! Of course by the time we realized this, they were already installed in our house! Now nothing matches and we have counter tops we don't like!

I bought the COUNTERTOP and it fully meets my expectations, it is beautiful. It is a shame that HD does not have samples in store to purchase. So after waiting for more than a week to get the sample it is almost too small to be useful. The delay stalled the whole process and delayed an HD sale!

Sample was very very thin - translucent - would be better if it was thicker

Ordered a sample of this, after the sales associate at our local Home Depot told us that we would get a bigger sample by mail than in the store, which would be helpful in seeing the different colors in the quartz. This came in a box about 12"X4"X4" that felt completely empty. When we opened it, it was loaded with bubble wrap and a piece of quartz about 2"X2" and about 1/4"thick. Won't waste the $9.95 for any quartz samples at Home Depot. Went to a local dealer, who GAVE us an actual piece of the stone we were looking for that was about 500 times the size of this one we had to buy at Home Depot.

Really Home Depot you need to provide a much larger sample. Deciding on this sample or your competitors sample it was a no brainer, since I could not determine what the end result would be with your small sample.

SILESTONE quartz is marketed as 'Scratch resistant" and "durable" and with a "25 year warranty". Do not believe the marketing. Less than 2 months after having $3000 worth of Silestone Quartz c-tops installed I dropped a ceramic cereal bowl (from Target so it's not a heavy duty ceramic bowl) on the edge of my c-top and what resulted was not a scratch but 2 nickel sized chunks blowing out from the edge. How is that durable? It wasn't an iron skillet, it was a cheap bowl from Target! I thought ‘no worries’ since Silestone has their highly marketed 25 year warranty and surely my slab is defective (Silestone is man made). The install company that THD contracts with came out, took pics and filed the claim. Surprise! The warranty only covers things that happen inside the Cosentino factory over in Spain; once the product leaves the factory in Spain there is little to no warranty coverage for you. Naturally, Home Depot is mum on intervening on my behalf with Silestone by Cosentino. In the end, I was sold a product marketed as tough and durable but really cant stand up to normal plate ware----but I still have a few months to pay it off with no interest on my HD card! In summary, DO NOT BUY SILESTONE quartz if you plan to use anything other than Styrofoam plate ware and DO NOT expect the Silestone "25 year warranty" or Home Depot to stand by your purchase.

Here we are, preparing to spend thousands of dollars on countertops at HD, and HD can't provide us with a free, useful sample? The sample, that we had to buy online and that took at least a week to arrive at our house, was basically useless in that it did not include all of the colors in the material (because it was so small). It was not a truly representative sample that we could use to take places and choose other components of our space.

We recently purchased slate colored appliances and I knew I needed new countertops to compliment them and my white cabinets. This quartz countertop is just beautiful with shades of white, taupe and greys. A friend who recently saw them remarked she wanted to take them home for her kitchen! The installers were very good and my kitchen looks amazing. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is I wish the sample had been bigger. Luckily I was able to see a bigger sample in the store, but it would have been nice to see a bigger piece of the quartz in the kitchen.

Given very thin sliver of granite. Not full thickness sample. Ridiculous that we have to pay for a sample of the countertop that we purchased for thousands of dollars. Needed sample to make other decoratng decisions. Kitchen designer excellent. Provide great ideas and new layout for our tiny kitchen. Contractors they provided gave very high estimates. I advise getting independent contractors for estimates.

We're remodeling a kitchen and really wanted to make sure that we had a sample of the countertop so that we could coordinate cabinets, fixtures, paint, flooring, etc. Having to purchase a sample after spending a few thousand dollars on the actual countertop order was a little disheartening. We decided to go ahead and purchase the sample so that we would have it on hand. Receiving what is literally 1.5 inches by 3 inches piece of countertop as the "sample" was even more disheartening. It's barely big enough to get a feel for what the color/texture is of the countertop. Ten bucks spent. We'll keep it till everything else is ordered, then return it. Just be forewarned, it's a small sample.
