Be aware of the kind of lighting your looking at this under and keep in mind the lighting you have at home. it can appear more blue but it largely is due to the colors near it as well. This countertop is gorgeous, reminded me immediately of exactly what it was named after, and ocean storm. In my store it's a smokey gray and looks like lightning behind clouds. This pattern they show online is a little busier than what I have had in front of me, just take a few factors into consideration.

It’s so different than the sample in store.Its so thin you can see light thru it. It’s not a good representation of the sample we saw in the store. The sample is lighter, less blue & has more beige spots. We still got it but we are going to the fabricator & try to pick the slabs they actually use.

The piece was too small to be an accurate sample. Wasted money!

I went to the store and looked at the large sample in the display wall. It is not blue. The small little sample slivers are almost translucent. Not at all like the actual slab. It's dark gray with swirls of white and a few flecks of mica. It will look awesome in my beach condo shortly. It really looks like a stormy ocean water

We love our countertops so much we will put them in our next home as well.

The sample in the stores is darker than the smaller samples. We will see!

The countertop itself is beautiful, enough sparkle and mix, we even have a seam and it blends incredibly well - much better than I was expecting after reviewing seams in stores and online. The issue with the Pietra is that the grey veining can look blue, we changed our kitchen paint, changed out lightbulbs to be a softer white, and installed window coverings and it finally looks grey but any blue in your decor will make the edges of the veining look blue. I was disappointed that I had to take two days off work, 1 for measurement and 1 for install as many contracting services we dealt with work on Saturdays, silestone installers and their measurement guy do not. I was also disappointed that they required one of the homeowners to be there and wouldn't accept our contractor being there during these visits. Not a great experience but I'm happy it's over and they look great once they're in.

I appreciated getting the sample, but it was a very thin slice. For the price I paid for the sample, I do not feel that it is a good value. In addition, by only giving the customer a thin slice, I feel that it changes the color of the sample versus the thicker slab I saw at Home Depot. I had hoped to get a piece that was at least an inch thick, rather than a sliver. I guess I need to pay closer attention to the dimensions in the future. I do feel that this was money wasted.

Did a good job removing old countertops and installing new quartz countertops. Removed sink but did not put it back into hole. Paid additional money to have sink reinstalled. Plumber stated he was unaware sink had not been placed back in hole and there would be an additional charge. I’m upset...

Beware: This sample is REALLY small. It doesn't give you a real good idea of how it will look as your counters. Also, to charge $10 for something so thin and small in size is pretty ridiculous.

Unless you’re standing directly in front of it and looking down, the countertops look blue. This is a devastating realization if you’ve already paid and the reality doesn’t look anything like the store sample except in pattern. There is nothing “charcoal gray” about it. Crushingly disappointed.

Too small a sample

The sample size was too small to facilitate the overall conception of final appearance over a large area. Likewise the cost of the sample was excessive, given it's size.

Many defects in this product. All marks show. Rocksolid Stonework the company Home Depot subcontracts out for these countertop is very unprofessional. We have had to get warranty for them because of breakage by company, imperfections. Has been 4 months and we still do not have an acceptable product in our kitchen. Very unhappy with experience all the way around. Would give Rocksolid a minus star if I could.

The sample that came from the manufacturer was so small and didn't look like that sample in the store. I returned the sample. However, the sales person at Home Depot-Jeffrey-was very helpful. He called the manufacturer and they actually broke off a piece of the actual piece of quartz. I love it and appreciated the extra steps that Jeffrey took.

Sample is fair representation of Pietra quartz. It's really nice. However for the price of $9.95 the sample could be larger and thicker.

This is definitely to small to get a sense of what the quartz will look like. Very tiny...and then I found I could get one free at the store!

I'm in Atlanta and purchased this a week ago. The sample is slim but the store display is spot on the color you get. I did go to my local fabricator affiliated with Home Depot and they let me look at multiple slabs. The color was exactly same as store display. I wouldn't purchase any stone based on the slim sample you get in store but whoever purchases this expensive quartz solely based on the sample is a moron. Do your homework and you will get an amazing quartz product sold only to HD. Also I did not see any blue in the slabs I got.

The sample may be small but this countertop couldn't be more beautiful! My kitchen is now my favorite room in the house. The colors are stunning with ever so subtle tiny sparkly bits. With white cabinets these counters are worth every penny. Added bonus the fact that Quartz is incredibly durable for a busy family. This sample picture does not do it justice!

lOVED THE DESIGN OF THIS QUARTZ BUT THE SAMPLE COLOR IS NOT REPRESENTATIVE OF THE ACTUAL COLOR AT ALL. MY KITCHEN RESEMBLES A SMURF! I WANTED GREY AND THE SAMPLE I TOOK HOME WAS GREY. WE CURRENTLY HAVE AN EMAIL IN TO THE COMPANY TO TRY AND RECTIFY THIS SITUATION.
