I applied this product on 9/29/21 as per Scott’s season plan. As of today, my lawn is dying. Temps have been in range to use and we’ve had a fair amount of rain since 9/29. Now what do I do? Before this application my lawn was geeen and thick with some weeds but not covering more than 1/2 the lawn. Spreader settings were as directed on the bag. HELP!!!

If used right youll have great results

We followed all instructions and applied the Scotts Weed & Feed with a Scotts broadcast spreader set at the 3.5 mark. The picture shows my neighbors lawn as our lawn looked prior to applying Scotts. The brown lawn is the product of Scotts Turf Weed & Feed. Our backyard is absolutely ruined by this product.

I’m writing this review on behalf of my grandfather who does not have access to internet. He has used Scott’s for years and he has loved it as it always did it’s job. Then this year he went to use this product and it killed the grass and not the weeds. He has always followed the exact directions and this year they put something new in it and it’s TERRIBLE!! The new product was supposed to get rid of weeds and should fertilize the grass, instead it seemed to seed the weeds and ruin the grass as you can see in the pictures. My grandfather has never been more disappointed especially since he loves his grass and yard.

I have been a firm believer of Scotts products and have been using the Scotts products for all my needs( Starter Fert, Grass seeds, Broadcast spreader etc.). However this Weed and Feed was a bummer. I used the exact Broadcast spreader settings that was recommended. In 48 hours my green lawn became totalky brown :( :(. Not sure how i will revive it. My 30 usd down the drain plus i have to spemd an additional 200 usd now to thatch, Add top soil and Reseed the lawn.

I’ve used scotts products for a while but this was the 1st i used weed & feed. What a terrible product. It completely burnt numerous spots around my lawn. My favorite part is if you look at my photos where it destroyed the grass and left the clover! How is that possible? I applied to wet lawn and used the proper spreader setting. I will admit that most (not all) of the burnt areas is where i may have overlapped too much, but it still should not of done this. Pictures are about 1 week after. I only used it because this year i had more clover and crabgrass than normal. Wish i never did this

The grass never greened up, some of the clover died, but, lawn looks worse than before we used the product. so sad

I have been using Scott’s Turf Builder Weed and Feed for years because it always creates a weed free beautiful lawn. I use 8 10,000 sq ft bags since I have a large lawn but the cost and effort to apply are worth the results.

Used this for my lawn to kill some early clover and dandelions. We also had some moss growth. 24 hours after applying the grass turned brown in many spots....the lawn which was green now has areas of brown coloration.

I used it on my Bermuda grass as instructed . I used Scott mini drop spreader with setting 3 1\2 . Within a week the whole grass is brown and dead . This is not lack of water because the soil is still moist . It cant be more eater even because its 100 F out here in Bakersfield . The whole grass is dead and only left is few spotted spurges weed which seems to be not effected by this . Even the Soil PH is around 7 so its not acidic .

I put this product on my grass and it burned about half of my lawn had to spend more money on reseeding and watering.

I used this weed and feed in April. My yard still has the same amount of clover if not more than before I used it.

I don't know whether this product will kill dandelions and clover or not. But it did burn the good grass after several days.

We still have Lots of clover & dandelions. The grass is green but it didn't take care of the weeds

I've always liked Scotts. Works well as a fertilizer. But this product did not perform well in killing the dandelions that are taking over my lawn. Three weeks after applying the product, a few weeds are turning partly brown, but the majority are still thriving. See photo. I'm pretty sure I applied the product correctly--I followed the recommended Scott's spreader setting on a damp lawn and then it rained the next day.

I bought this item a few weeks back as I am an avid shopper at My local Home Depot. I followed the directions based on what was provided. Great results and first and then a month after the weeds can back stronger than ever. I am a bit disappointed in the results and most likely will. It but this in the future. I feel the cost for the results was not worth it. Will look to use another option to kill weeds in the future.

Don’t waste your money. It barely affected the clover it claims to control. It actually did very little to control ANY weeds. Applied the product as directed too.

Seeded this lawn last year and used Scott’s fertilizer this spring. Love how lush it is. Great product

Scotts turf builder weed & feed did a fantastic job on my lawn . I followed the instructions and within 10 days I had very few Dandelions left . Within another 5 days , I could only find 1 . Before I applied the Scotts Weed & Feed , it looked like I was growing weeds instead of grass . Apply as directed works wonders on a lawn . Now I receive a lot of compliments on my lawn . I'm now a believer in Scott's Weed & Feed .

I used this on my lawn because my lawn was taken over by weeds and my grass would not grow. I thought my lawn was done for. I wanted to bring in a lawn care company to save my lawn because that’s how frustrated and desperate I was. After googling and watching some videos on youtube how to get rid of weeds, fertilize and get my grass to grow again, a youtuber lanscaper got me to buy this product. The proper way to do this, is to spread the Weed and Feed, leave it for 24hrs without watering. After 24hrs, water lawn as often as you can. I’m blown away by the result after 1 month. My lawn looks brand new and definitely like it was taken cared of by professionals. Be aware that you cannot put down grass seeds after 6 weeks or for 2 months. This product continously works until all weeds are gone and grass is growing in beautifully. I absolutely recommend this brand and product. I did this all by myself and I very happy!

I bought and applied the Scotts Weed and Feed (15000 sq ft) about a month back . I applied it based on the instructions listed on the package. I have been very disappointed with the results. I have weeds all over my lawn. How can I remove and recover from the weeds without killing the grass ? I am attaching 4 pictures and can provide more. Thanks

I have been using Scott’s feed and fertilizer for a while and it works well. Beats paying a crazy amount for lawn service.

I used Scott’s Turf Builder Weed and Feed over two weeks ago and will never use it again. I used as directed on the package and it has literally no effect on defeating the dandelions in my yard. When I first applied the product I had a few scattered dandelions in my front yard. Since using the product, I have had what I would consider an outbreak and have spent about 2 hrs of my time pulling these deeded dandelions. I would expect to see some sort of damage to the dandelions as I have been pulling them but, they looked strong as if Scott’s Weed and Feed was actually helping them along. I have filled 3 bags like in the photo in the past two weeks after using a product guaranteed to kill said dandelions. Thanks for nothing, Scott’s

I bought it to get rid of the weeds before overseeding. It didn't kill all the weeds and I have to care of the rest with vinegar, dish washer combo. I was happy with the result because there was no burned grass until see the label say wait a month before seeding. It was quite disappointing to wait a whole month. So read the label before buying it. Update: By the end of 3rd week after the application, weeds start to come back with new more powerful. I don't know the type of the weed but this one regrow even more. Welcome back to square one...waste of money

The title says it all. After using your weed & feed as directed, we have the worst crop of dandelions and weeds I've ever had. It basically did nothing.

I’m so disappointed I work hard on removing all the grass weeds I purchased this seed and it came with weeds and only partial grass grow I hate to leave a bad review but don’t think it’s right and people are treated this way Hope this helps someone

I purchased on line and used a Scott’s spreader set at the correct setting. Spread the white pellets and waited for it to kill the weeds. It killed everything but the weeds. The weeds are green and my grass is yellow ( dead). Thank God I ran out before I could do the front. I always use Scott’s products but never ever use this!! I used the Weed and feed, my grass greened up, as good my neighbors lawn which is professionally cared for. Only problem, dandelions are co erring my yard. It just didn’t work, and I put it down before the grass really started to grow. I was timely on the application. So, disappointed with weed control but pleased with the nice lawn
