Sit flush or turn knob: choose one
I don't understand all of the 5-star reviews of this doorknob. When you tighten the screws so that the plate sits flush, the knob no longer turns. When you loosen the screws the knob turns but the doorknob jiggles. It's clear from looking at the mechanism why this happens. We checked that the doorknob fits our door dimensions, so it's probably just a bad doorknob. And the instructions are awful.
Will be returning this ASAP.

So far so good. Time will tell regarding the matte finish. The installation was easy and the action is smooth. I would suggest using a piece of blue tape or thin piece of cardboard on the door handle when using a screw driver to tighten the handle in place.
