Q:Is this available with "square corner" strike and latch?
    by|Feb 1, 2023
    1 Answer
    Answer This Question

A:  Hello, Thank you for reaching out! Yes, you would need to place a special order through a major US retailer and request the lock come with square-cornered faceplates and strike plates instead of the round-corner hardware. The part number for the F-series knob/levers strike plates would be 10-026 and F206-476 for the faceplates on the latches.

A:  I have not opened the box, but usually it comes with a long wire type paper clip key. Or, you can use a toothpick, it's that easy to open. Hope that helps.

Q:The dummy is only sold as a single dummy. Can two be used as a double dummy or do you sell a double dummy?

                Answer This Question

A:  The lock in question is not a dummy door knob. For a single dummy door knob, please refer to the F170. For a dummy knob on both sides of the door, you will need two F170's. If you have any other questions or require any further assistance, please call us at 888-805-9837 or email consumerschlage@allegion.com.

Q:Does it have two screws exposed on the push-button side to hold the cover plate or they are hidden? There is no picture of that side. I have an older model of similar Schlage and the screws are hidden. Is there another model with hidden screws?
