Love this lock and the fact I don't have to carry a key. This is our second lock, same model, just updated. The first one lasted us 10 years before it had any issues. The finish is durable and looks great.

Installed about a month ago. Much more robust then the original Schlage lock on the door. Be prepared to enlarge the holes in your door. (Lock 2 1/8 ", bolt 1".) Feel much more secure with new lock. Looks good. Easy to operate. Very glad I bought it.

The lock was easy to install with easy to follow instructions.

I love the lock color which blends in with my door knob. My son assembled and programmed it. I love the fact that I don't need to look for my key which is sometimes seemingly lost in my purse or that I lose time trying to find my door key on my key chair. My family and I can quickly put in the code to lock and unlock. I feel safer that stray keys are not entering my home as before. We haven't tried programming other codes. It's great that the lock comes with a key. I plan to buy another keypad lock for my studio. I love the design and ease of use.

I've owned this product for less that 2 years and its practically unusable. I have contacted Schlage support twice and been given the standard " Due to heavy call volume, blah, blah, blah". What good is a warranty if you can use it? I will be replacing this with a different brand and style of lock that isn't so poorly designed or supported.

I installed this product myself and I am satisfied with its performance. I am a new home owner and I installed this product for security purposes on my front door. I read a lot of reviews when I was investigating what I needed and I must say that the reviews helped and the product was easy to install. Keep in mind I am no expert carpenter or locksmith. I read the directions and followed them closely and was successful on this installation. I have since bought other Schlage products and they are also performing as expected.

Really like this lock. It was fairly easy to install. Considering buying a couple more to install on other exterior doors.

This Keypad Electronic Deadbolt lock is easy to use. I put one of these on a front door years ago when my daughter's purse was stolen with her keys and her ID with our address was in it. At the time, there was a group stealing purses out of a pool locker room and before the people got home from the pool, their house had been burglarized. I could never go back to a keyed lock. I am changing out all of my doors in my new home to these locks. This locks does come with 1 key if someone wanted to really use a key; however, I enjoy not having to worry about finding my key or having a key stolen out of my purse or vehicle. The numbers are easy to read. The light up feature makes the numbers even more readable if necessary. I bought the extra long kick plate and long screws to install this lock. The door locks super tight and has no give at all. The lock met all of my expectations.

I had the swap the positions of the deadbolt and doorknob to make the new keypad fit on my windowed door. The keypad cover is wide. Keypad and deadbolt work great. Nice to not have to carry my keys to my detached garage. I plan to install one on my house door. My car has keyless door lock and ignition. I won't have to take my keys out of my pocket the whole day.

Installation was a cinch and fit perfectly into the pre-existing holes on my door. I had no issues making it work and programming new user codes as long as I followed the instructions to a T. Instructions were simple and easy to follow. Videos are also available to guide with installation and use. I feel more secure with a keypad deadbolt lock on my door..

I really like this lock. Easy to install, easy to program. I can add, or remove user codes in seconds. I’m buying more of these to put on my parents’ home, and my daughter’s place.

Bought this Monday and it arrive yesterday. I was able to install it in about 30 minutes. I am fairly handy but my mom taught me how to change a lock when I was a kid so it was pretty simple. The only thing to remember is take a picture if the Code A and Code B on the back on the keypad before installing or you'll need to take it apart to get it. Also when installing the deadbolt try it extended and then closed because the directions were not clear and I extended mine, and things didn't meet up together until I closed it. Then is was SUPER SIMPLE and everything lines up! We were fortunate that there was no extra door shaving as I read in a few reviews. I was actually surprised because my home is older so EVERYTHING usually needs to be custom but not this. Adding and testing codes was really easy and we took off the 2 codes that came with it from the manufacture for safety. We also plan to have the tumblers changed so it fits a different key. We are very excited that our dog sitter no longer will need a key nor will the house keeper. There is always that little fear of someone making a copy of your key but no longer will we need to worry about that. We are EXTREMELY HAPPY with this purchase. I have ALWAYS USED and TRUSTED this brand. Excuse the inside picture we need to paint the door from the inside.

Fairly easy to install. Looks great. So convenient, I can go away with just my car key!

My experience with installation and subsequent performance has been poor. First, if the deadbolt encounters any rub against the door jam housing, it will not lock securely from the outside. It says it locks, but if you just push the Schlage button, the door opens right up without requiring any code. (Yes, I know that this same situation can occur if you install the lock parts backwards, but that's not the only time this lock introduces a rather concerning insecurity.) Second, the wear on the outer housing has deteriorated very quickly in the Florida sun. I have attached a picture of what the aged bronze finish looks like after only 3 months. As you can see, the finish on the entire keypad area is separating from the metal. I'll have to replace this lock, since it is visible from our back patio entertainment area and looks very poor.

The way it has to be opened from the outside with the key is really goofy! My customer made me take it back out and put her old one back in. Not cool!

I have had this installed for over a year now. I love it! Works perfectly. I have bought cheaper ones for other houses and they are no where near the quality of this bad boy. Highly recommend spending the extra $$$ for the quality of operation.

This is the second deadbolt of this type that I have purchased. Installed one a couple years ago in my old house. When I move to my new house, I purchased another one and installed it because I loved the first one. Easy to install. Easy to program. Easy to use.

I had to return it because we have a side door with glass and the lock didn’t fit that space. The item looked very well made and the reviews are wonderful. Will try it again once we replace door.

Easy to install - Meets all my expectations - I'm quite satisfied

First, I am a retired locksmith. This lock was easy for me to install, I had to bore out the door a bit for better clearance. I also had to re-key the cylinder to fit my existing locks this was a bit more challenging but not impossible, if you need this done I suggest you take the lock to a pro. The instructions are easy to follow, install was fast. Lock works great. I do not recommend this if you have small children that like to play with things like this! I like everything about this lock. I don't carry keys when I am working on the property, my house is always locked, this is nice for when I need to get in the back door. This lock exceeds my expectations.

Looks nice and works great.... no more keys to get lost (we have kids and dog sitters, etc) ! The finish looks very high end. We definitely plan to get the matching hardware/handles to go with it now (you can see our old nobs and handles...yuck), once we paint our doors. The metal piece in pic is from a previous issue with our door, it does not come with item. The whole piece fit right into the space left by the bolt lock that was there and was switched out and working within minutes. We Love it!

easy to install, easy to program

The thing I liked most about this product is that I was able to install it in about 20 minutes (including removing the old lock mechanism). Everything fit like a glove, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. I guess I should have read the description of the product a little more closely before I bought it, though. I thought that the deadbolt would open and close on its own once the four-digit code was entered. It doesn't. The code only makes the lock active. you have to turn the outside "knob" manually to open and close the deadbolt. Then, after a few seconds, the mechanism is no longer active and it's either open or closed. (The inside mechanism is always workable.)

We have one of these on our front door and it has been such a great lock! The best thing is they are so easy to program I can put a code in it in less than 1 minute easily, I have our front door master code memorized so I can put a code in it in less than 30 seconds! We got this second one because we rent a room in our basement and we have a separate entrance to the basement and we put this lock on that door, it gives you peace of mind knowing your not giving out keys and have to change locks instead you can erase and program new codes in a couple of minutes! It is also easy to install, it installs just like a regular lock the only extra thing is plugging a wire harness together and putting in a battery, which will last for years by the way and the light up blue keypad is great when it's dark plus it has 10 buttons which is great I know some locks combined numbers so they only have 5 buttons. Well we couldn't be happier with these locks and we are starting to change our rental units to these locks as well!

We are in the hospitality business and love having this to change the code as frequent as we like. Guests have found it easy to use. No idea how well they hold up over time but impressed so far with it.

We bought this door lock for our house and it is an excellent high quality lock. My favorite thing about this electronic door lock is it's simplicity, it is super easy to install, it couldn't be easier to program with codes, it is very simple to use the keypad and I love how it will illuminate in the dark making it very easy to see at night, another feature that I like is that it doesn't automatically extend and retract it simply engages a clutch inside the deadbolt turn knob and lets you turn the lock manually and I have found the advantages to this system over the auto extend and retracting deadbolts is that if the door isn't quite lined up with the deadbolt you can adjust the door slightly as needed get the deadbolt extended where as with and auto extend electronic lock if the deadbolt isn't lined up quite right it will not engage and lock. We have 3 rental units and have decided to switch them all to electronic locks to avoid the hassle of having to change a keyed lock out for a different one each time a tenant moves out we can simply change the code saving up time and money in the long run. Currently we have only switched one of our rental units to an electronic deadbolt and we chose to use a Kwikset auto extending lock due to the fact it was only $70 and that was a mistake, it eats up batteries like crazy and has to be lined up perfectly to lock and also it is a challenge to program. Since we can get a Schlade lock for only $30 more at $100 and the batteries last exponentially longer and are much easier to program we have decided to go with Schlade locks on both our other rental units when we change them over. All in all I am very please with this unit, we have had it for 2 years now and have never had any problems with it. I am fully satisfied with this schlade electronic door lock and would recommend it to anyone who is looking to get into a very nice electronic door lock for a decent price, if you look at other schlade electronic door locks you can get them for as low as $100! so do yourself a favor and don't settle for a cheaper electronic lock, spend the few extra bucks to get a schlade electronic lock!!!

This product is well made except for the internal locking knob. It fells a little like plastic. Other than that this lock is beefy, installs nicely and works well. The keypad is easy to use, and its easy to change combinations. Over all, I would recommend this lock

I had someone install this for me and the hole had to be enlarged, but, other than that the install went fast, the product is of a good quality and easy to use. I especially like the appearance on my green door. I can't comment on battery life as I only had for a month.
