Needed a curved hand rail for new Sterling shower kit. Saved literally hundreds of dollars by purchasing the shower kit without the included hand rails option. Found this one that matched one of the rails offered. Easy to install, very sturdy, and works perfectly the way it was designed. I mounted the rail prior to installing the back panel of the shower kit to the wall, using wood backing panels for the screws to attach to.

Screws that were included do not fit the specific shower this grab bar was designed for.

this bar was well made and fit the curved wall beautifully. the fastening system worked well. its very strong and adds a nice safety feature to the shower.

Tool required to tighten the bar is not a common item and very difficult locate in any store. Perhaps providing a 9inch long 1/8 inch hex head would benefit installation on this ridiculously expensive item.

Another excellent product that matches the shower parts. This was made for this shower.

Over priced and for the price there should not be plastic end caps. Dont care for the design either. Well over one hundred dollars and they couldn't design it not to see the fasteners. I do not recommend this product at all.

Although it was expensive, Koehler makes great products and this grab bar is very elegant and robust. I’m sure we will get many years of good service from our new handicapped shower. Thank you Walter.

Very easy installation, very good diagram of mounting spots. Brushed finish is a little lighter then my moen fixtures, but it looks great!

Before installing end caps make sure the edges are smooth. Ours has sharp edges that could be filed a bit. Other than that it’s perfect.

Easy to install but I feel that the screws should have been longer since the walls are curved they barely went into the 2x6 I had mounted to the wall studs.

Installation was pretty simple with the 9" key wrench. Only wish that Sterling had put the backer boards higher on the wall. Otherwise, it meets my needs.

It made my bathroom look so nice and I will recommend Sterling shower to my friends.

As long as you know what this is, it absolutely works as intended. It does have some drawbacks compared to competing products, but may be the only good solution for the back wall of a Sterling Accord shower or tub surround. The only reason I went with this grab bar is that we installed a Sterling Accord tub / surround with a curved back wall. That back wall requires using the Sterling 34-inch curved grab bar. We ended up using the matching 24" straight grab bars so the hardware would match. Unfortunately the "brushed nickel" finish of these grab bars only match the other grab bars. Their finish is duller and grayer than any other brushed nickel, so does not match the brushed nickel finish of our shower heads, riser bars, valve trim and tub spout, all of which came from different manufacturers but still manage to match very well. While with the proper backer boards (which I added myself, much cheaper than purchasing the Sterling Accord with pre-installed backers) these are very sturdy grab bars, Sterling did nothing to hide the mounting screws used to install the bar mounts to the walls. This has two potential disadvanges: It's much easier for water to infiltrate through the screws to the backer board, and the exposed screw heads can get very small but sharp rough edges in the 1/8" hex holes when installed that can catch and snag on towels or bathing cloths, or even your fingers. The (potential) water problem might be solved by following the instructions and injecting silicon sealant into the screw holes before installing, but that remains to be seen. The sharp-edge issue could easily be solved with a mounting plate cover or screw head covers, but none are provided and I've had a hard time finding a suitable cap for the screw heads that won't look terrible. I'll probably resort to using a small file to deburr the screw heads at some point. The final complaint is that all of the Sterling grab bars are, in my opinion, overpriced for what they are. If the curved bar for the back were not an issue, I could have spent half the money for grab bars that were just as functional and would match the finish on the other hardware in the shower. One other thing to note: Installation requires the use of a very long, 1/8" hex wrench to install two screws that keep the bar in place on the mounts. While it probably would have been cheap to include with the contents, one is not included. Six inches long would suffice, but I ended up purchasing a set that is nine inches long that did the trick. That said... If you've opted for a Sterling Accord shower or tub/shower combo, these may be the best choice for you, and in the big picture of replacing a tub and/or shower, the cost difference isn't really a deal breaker. Just something to know about.

Fits perfect in our shower. Just what we needed

Although the curved grab bar is quite expensive compared to the straight grab bars available, the curved bar matches the Accord shower and bath curved back panel perfectly and adds character and flare to the entire unit. Sometimes style is worth the extra cost.

I wasn't happy that It came in at least 5 different parts/pieces that have to be put together. I expected to just screw it to the wall, like other grab bars. It also has caps to install on the ends that are not smooth, and can scratch a naked body part if you rub against it. Did not come with correct instructions.

I needed this for my handicapped customer. For the price, it should have been made with stainless steel. This is the only curved bar that can fit the sterling shower curved back wall. Installation was easy as I had the age in place wall set that had the wood backer boards to accept the screws securely. It looks great but, they should have hidden the mounting screws with a cover.
