Easy to set up, very quiet, and very efficient. One small annoyance: when it is shut off, doesn't restart without unplugging and waiting a few minutes.

My husband loves it; our old one died after 17 years of daily use. We did our research on-line and couldn't believe how many choices there are out there. We wanted one that was Energy Star rated, 'just the right size' and had a plastic budket. Our basement has cement block walls; we hung paneling over 2x4's to make sure we had an air pocket in case of sweating, but also needed to get rid of that musty 'old basement' smell ... and this model fills all our needs. At first my husband had it set on 24-hour mode and was emptying the bucket almost every day, but once the humidity was at a comfortable level my husband changed the setting to 60% and it is doing just fine, no musty smells and he doesn't have to empty the budket every day. An added bonus to this model is that it is very quiet. I woiuld definitely recommend it to anyone.

Doesn't turn on right away and uses a lot of electricity if used a lot.

Works very well. We are using it in an RV. On high humidity days it will pull about 1/2 to 1 gallon of moisture from the RV. It is quiet. No problems at this time. This unit looks exactly like the picture.

This was easy to set up. It works well. The instructions are badly written by someone for whom English appears not to be their first language and the instructions for the timer are confusing, possibly wrong. The screws included were hidden in a very non obvious place and easy to lose.

This humidifier is making a huge difference in how efficient my air conditioner runs. It’s quiet. The price was right for this size humidifier and how well it performs.

Quiet, easy to use and brings humidity levels down. Nothing like buying something that mataches the product description.

Initially this unit worked fine, but after 3 months it started icing over, and was useless. SPT wanted me to send the unit to CA, with me paying the freight, and they would not budge. SPT has no local repair places other than CA. On the other hand, Home Depot gave me a full refund. Next year I will look for a different manufacturer.

It appears to work properly but is not as aggressive in pulling out humidity as A different one I had previously. Otherwise seems to work ok.

So far, so good.

This looks nice and rolls well. It seems to be removing water from the air and the tank is easy to take out and empty. HOWEVER, the main reason I bought this one is because Consumer Reports rated it as the most quiet, but I find it is VERY loud. The first one that arrived also came with a severed cord (??), but the company sent me a new one quickly.

It's a bit soon to be reviewing this item, as I've only been using it for about a month. But Home Depot keeps pestering me on email, so here goes: It works, so far. We'll see if it keeps working, or if it craps out like most Chinese products after about a year.

After two weeks of use the dehumidifier performs quietly and adequately to remove moisture from a 400 square foot basement room. My one concern is that the reservoir does not slide in or out smoothly. This would not be a concern if the condensate from the dehumidifier flowed directly through a hose to a sump or drain.

I did my research first. Great product works well, no surprises???

30-pont dehumidifier with energy star is a wonderful machine - takes moisture out of my weekend home and allows the ac unit to run less - it is cooler in the home also - easy to maintain the water removal - I would recommend this product to anyone -
