Due to already having some hardware cloth covering the window well cover I put this on, I have not had the opportunity to try using the included mounting clips for the cover, but will give them a try later as they appear to be useful idea. A few small landscape bricks (yeah, I know, tacky) currently keep the wind from blowing it off. However you use it, it will need to be attached someway to your window well. Really was a heavier gauge plastic than I'm used to seeing which I liked. Also, it was basically flat, with a low rise lip on the house side to prevent debris and rain from traveling back under the siding area of the window well cutout, another good feature that was perfect for my particular application. No decrease in light level either in the basement room it protects. Will eventually perfect the mounting scheme once weather and time permit. It is on the South side of the house, so we will see how it holds up to full sun and summer heat.

Have not installed them yet but I'm impressed with the overall quality and they seem durable. They are also a lot clearer than they appear in the picture. They are transparent, which is good.

We purchased four of these window wells because of the size and durability. The product online looks cloudy, pretty much white, but it said it still let the light through for brightness in the basement. When we received the window well covers, to our surprise, they were clear. The size and durability was as expected. There were a couple of nuts missing but just picked those up at the hardware store. The installation was easy. We feel it was a very good buy.

The product was good quality and seemed to be make with strong plastic material. This particular window well cover did not fit my well so I had to return it. Also, because the cover was clear it did not match my home. I purchased another white cover made by the same company and it is a great product.

Missing a screw. Good material but overpriced.

Really thin and cheap. Picture does not do it justice, I thought it would be much thicker and much more durable.

Sturdy, fits well. It has a lip around the edge so would not work for wells or grates that are level with the ground. I have two like this, but the my other wells are elevated from the ground a couple inches. These work well with that. I didn’t secure them to the well and they are staying put.

The low profile much more attractive than what we had previously. also the quality is much better. I do wish just a tad bit heavier wt. Installed in minutes! Fast and easy delivery. anxious to see how long they last. The dome shaped, thin plastic ones lacked durability.

Very high quality for a great price. These don’t stick out like a sore thumb the way the cheap, high profile ones do. I will be buying two more for the back of the house.

Not a bad cover for the price. Any thought of placing 250 lbs on it as stated as max load in specs is crazy, unless you put the weight completely on the reinforced rib that runs down the middle. It might hold then, but if you step anywhere else, I would not trust it. Maybe for up to a a ten year old or so. Otherwise for the price, it is the most sturdy one I have seen at this large size. Just don't expect to stand on it!.

Product is decent but will definitely not hold 300lbs, It is a little thicker than the standard blue ones.

4 stars for the cover but 0 stars for Home Depot . They charged my credit card twice and now I’m in an argument between Home Depot and my credit card company. Last time I order from Home Depot.

This window well cover seems very sturdy! With that said, since I didn’t measure correctly ( that’s on me!) I actually haven’t used the fasteners to attach it, but just laid it on top -still, it helped.

Fits perfectly East to set up and secure much thicker and sturdy then I thought should last many years
