I've used this clear chalkboard paint on several projects, a light wood cabinet, a white cabinet and a dark board, and I think I like it best on the dark board. The paint goes on easily and dries quickly. The clear finish does present a unique opportunity, but also a challenge. I didn't find that the chalk showed up as well on the lighter pieces (even colored chalk). Be sure to have a foam brush or roller handy. Plan on doing 2-3 coats for optimal coverage. I've been impressed with the results so far and can't wait until I find the perfect project for this paint!

Very easy to apply. I used the magnetic paint under the chalk board paint. The chalk board is very easy to wipe down after using. My grandson loves his new play room! This is a great way for children to "express" themselves.

Steps: 1. Open Paint 2. Poor Paint 3. Paint 4. Let Dry 5. Write on wall with chalk Very easy. Writes well. Erases well. I am very happy with the product.

Bought this to do bunch of decorations for our wedding. It was affordable and easy to use. I even painted an old truck door with which was the welcome sign. It went a long way and still have half a can left! And, yes, chalk and chalk board pens write on it just like the real thing.

I recently bought this paint at my local Home Depot. Used it to create a chalk board wall in my kitchen. Applied two coats of the paint and once dry was able to draw on it immediately! It's easiest to wipe the chalk off with a wet towel. Comes off super clean and fast that way. Love the look it's given my kitchen. Would do it again in a heart beat!

I used this chalkboard paint on my entry way wall, as well as a table top. It is durable, finishes beautiful and easy to apply. Great product.

We used this to make framed chalkboard signs for use at both a wedding shower and for the wedding. Also used a chalk marking pen to do the writing. Both products were prefect. The quart can goes a long way. Could have used a much smaller quantity to make the five signs. Used less than 1/4 of the can.

The paint was just what I was looking for. It was easy to apply and the end result was perfect. I used it to paint a board to install over my dining room. I then wrote a "Welcome to my Kitchen" sign in chalk. Mistakes were easily erased and left no telltale signs. I highly recommend.

You need to really stir the heck out of it and it's really thick but works like a charm

It works beautifully for my office I have a small office any I used the clear magnetized paint as well you need a least to coats of the chalkboard 2 work I also use it on my cabinet inside the door in the kitchen next to the refrigerator everyone loves it

Not very easy to work with when doing larger areas. Drips readily even with thin coats. Different cans of same color dried to different shades of black.

Was very easy to apply, dried quickly and has great coverage. I did have to do 2 coats, but the color I was covering was a bright yellow. Would buy this again!

It works excellent my kids love the brand new chalkboards I've made them right on them and erase them works like a regular chalkboard

Just bought the paint today to redo the night stand. What a big disappointment. It was so runny that it drips from my brush no matter how little paint I put on the paint brush. When paint on the side of the night stand it has the run lines from the paint. It's not as thick as other brand of chalk paints. The price is much cheaper for the reason I guess. Never again I would buy Rust-Oleum chalkboard paint.

Worked great! I used this to paint a smaller wall in my game room! It came out perfectly!
