many reviews mentioned small piece broken off and small scratched area-my product had both and was able to repair without problems. Packaging not the problem but factory defect. Anyway fixed it and love it!

After reading reviews for damaged pieces I was skeptical to buy . I did purchase and I also had damage . One piece was snapped off on shelf had to glue back on . While pushing unit into corner the bottom corner frame came off only held on buy staples very poor quality , also the second shelf was scratched . After two hours to assemble and was in place the unit works fine . It is a very attractive unit . For electric the flames are ok not as real looking as some people have said but it is electric . I would recommend this unit for the looks . Just don't be surprised if there's damage.

Very nice fireplace for my ad a room.

I felt the product was not worth the amount we paid for it, $597.00. The shelves were not deep enough for the devices we had (hopper, dvd player), they protruded off the shelf. It seemed cheaply made. We bought another fireplace to replace it and the quality of that one is so much more superior and it cost $100.00 less.

This would have received 5 stars but 2 of the smaller wood pieces came damaged. I was able to pretty much fix them & get it assembled, but it took some extra work & will need some re-staining. Otherwise it was really easy for me, a handy lady, to put together by myself. It looks really nice.

for the money I wish it would have a solid top instead of a 2 piece top you connect. Installation was really easy and the slide-in fireplace accents it perfect.

It wasn't difficult to assemble we love it

Love this fireplace! Home Depot was awesome on their response time and delivery of it. Was very easy to assemble. Did it myself in just under 2 hours. Would highly recommend this to anyone. Looks fabulous and offers hours of serenity!!

I love this product!

Only giving it a 4 star review because it was VERY time consuming to assemble and the instructions were rather vague. But the thing puts out tremendous amounts of heat and the "real flame" is very nice and actually real looking, not fake looking like every other fake fireplace. The color is a little more red than the way it looks in the pictures, but it works great for our household. Definitely recommend!

Nice cabinet but was disappointed that the side pieces made very thin

Quite a few pieces, but; went together easily. Big advantage to have the pieces numbered. Was impressed with quality overall. Would have given five stars except for two pieces of wood trim that had come off. Was able to glue them in place.

Easily assembled and working instructions were clear and consice

The electric fireplace was delivered to my place of employment on schedule with no visible damage to the packaging, however, once the box was opened I found many of the wood pieces were broken. Not just scratched or chipped, but broken. I will be returning this purchase and not re-ordering. I was so looking forward to this purchase but was quite disappointed.

It came with parts that were broken. If it wasn't such a hassle to take it back we definitely would have. We had to glue the front molding on the top and it has come off twice so far and had to be glued again. The one side of the molding was completely broken off. There isn't a way to nail it on. I was disappointed with the screw holes that show and that they didn't provide wooden plugs to cover them. These are located on the shelves. After I ordered this product-----I received other notices of the exact same thing for $150 less and no shipping fee.

DAMAGED and Broken ....didn't reorder... very disappointed

We have the same firebox in another mantel in our apt in back of work. Very realistic! We got it mostly for atmosphere since the the thermostat is in the same room and the rest of the house gets cold. It takes awhile but does heat the room up. Definitely worth the price. Not that hard to put together and can be moved to other rooms or taken with you when you move. Never have been a fan of fake fireplaces but this one comes as close as it gets!

The unit arrived with numerous small chips and flaws in the surface. Additionally, the reinforcing blocks on the ends of the middle shelf, where the connecting bolts route through, were damaged badly and split in half. With some creative use of super glue and 4 wood screws I was able to piece the blocks back together so they would at least provide a vehicle to run the connection bolts through and I was able to make it sturdy enough to hold. That, and a wood surface touch-up pencil and the unit is solid and looks good. (I didn't want to go through the return process as I thought I could piece it together.) It is a very attractive unit and looks good in the family room. We also like the simulated fire in the firebox. Looks very real and creates nice ambiance. If I hadn't been pleased with the finished product & look, I would probably have given 2 stars due to inadequate packing for shipment and subsequent damage. Hopefully mine was an unusual experience. Otherwise, was relatively easy to assemble. All panels marked.

The fireplace and cabinet are nice. Assembly was reasonably easy. I inserted the fireplace unit prior to finishing the back end which made the assembly easier. There was some damage to the cabinet in shipping. I was able to fix most of it. The remaing damage is not noticeable.

Purchased product twice. Both times had broken parts. Wood building quality very poor. Would not buy from this company.

Fireplace was easy to assemble and fit right where I wanted it.

I like that the top goes all the way back into a corner. The fireplace unit was a little difficult because of the screw placement that holds the unit in, but that just took a little time to get.

Customer Service walked me right through the ordering process on how to apply my gift card to the on-line ordering process. Shipping was fast...though the boxes arrived the local store a bit beat up there wasn't a scratch on the unit. Easy assembly even for one person and the multi-control options fit many a need.

Very disappointed in the quality for the cost. Wish they had one on display to see it in person. Hard to put together and can not be lifted by the top
