looks great easy to install

No they did not meet my expectations, they had the wrong instructions with them, they did not fit the stands that were suggested for them. These items have been returned toHome Depot.

Nice quality and appearance. Easy to install. For a added touch I painted the barrel bands flat black.

Just got it up, but so far so good. It seems to fill up just fine, but water seeps out the drilled hole where the water tube comes from the downspout even though I made sure it was level.It took some work, but not having mosquito access is worth it!

It was easy to install and is definitely serving the purpose. A regular spigot might have been more appropriate than the shut-off valve and hose. We used two layers of cement blocks as the base to raise it enough to fill a watering can directly from the valve attached to the barrel. Of most concern is the lack of a lid or other opening to clean sediment out the bottom occasionally and allow for complete drying before winter storage.

Works as stated. Cleaning the inside will be hard as it does not have a removable top.

Decent product. However I saw bigger and better ones at Sam's Club for cheaper money.

So far so good, does need a longer hose to connect to the downspout .

Got 3 of these, overall, pretty satisfied.

I like the water barrel and it was easy to install. I would not recommend buying the base that it sits on. They advertise it as something to also buy with it. It made sense the problem is it doesn't fit this barrel. Why does Home Depot advertise something to buy along with it if it isn't even made for this barrel. After looking closer I noticed that the manufacture says it only works with their rain barrel. Come on Home Depot...get your act together on this.

Looks great. I don’t care for the piece you put between the downspout, is a little noisy during heavy rains. However it all works

Good product overall. Excellent product for adult usage. The water outlet/spigot might be a little flimsy for children's usage. We'll see.

I like the diverter for the downspout, it is designed to prevent barrel overflow because it will redirect it back into the downspout.The barrel is sealed and the only access is the horizontal filling tube. I guess if I ever have to clean it I will have to drain the muck through the .75" hole.

The spigot attachment at the bottom is plastic and can easily strip. Be careful to clear any extra plastic left from the molding process before attaching anything.

I purchased this item because of the closed system, no worry about mosquitos. I would have preferred to have an option to buy this without the planter on top. Also, I think there should be a shut off valve on the unit instead of on the hose so that you’re not required to leave the hose hooked up.

Everything as advertised. Just ordered a second one. Only issue was I had to drill air holes in the barrel to relieve the vacuum and allow water to flow into it freely. Plan to connect the barrels in a series to increase gallons.

It required much more work to install than ever expected. The parts were included but no mention in the advertising indicated that power tools would be necessary. It has an outflow available but an electric drill with specialized bits are required to create an inflow hole. We also purchased the matching base but found that it doesn't seem to fit and is even unstable, rather than being a stabilizing addition. Overall, it is a very disappointing purchase.

Rcvd a week after promised but easy installation. I recommend making an elevated stand on which to place it but must be very strong as 50 gal H2O could weigh 700 #s. Downspout attachment works well but unit fills very quickly. Bottom spout & hose work fine but must below bottom of barrel.

Very poor quality

The barrels were easy to install and look great.

It did not look like the picture unfortunately. Or they sent the wrong color. It’s not awful though. It would probably work fine. We ended up selling it to a friend and used a more authentic looking barrel. Just an aesthetic thing because of the look we were going for.

Some of the units had cheaper accessories and didn’t match each other. For example, the garden hose and couplings were differently colored and made from different materials. I ordered 4 of the same exact units and they all came with different quality materials.

Nice looking barrel and planter makes it more appealing then most. We get an air bubble in the hose every time we use it, which only goes away if held much lower then spigot.
