Purchased 12 because evently they rust. These are so much easier to set than the other ones, put 2 of them out 7/13 & 7/16, replaced peanut butter because it dries out. Have caught no rats yet as of 7/21

Researched online how and where to set these traps. In a very short time I have caught five rats under one sisters house, and one more at my other sisters house. A little peanut butter under those large triggers is all it takes.Victor has been making these forever, because they get the job done.

Caught two rats with these new plastic bait trays. Both rats were trapped in their midsection and totally alive and strugging to get out, leaving me the terrible task of having to kill them myself. The old metal bait tray snap traps actually killed the rats. This is disgusting. Why ruin a tried and true trap, especially adding plastic to the mix when non is needed? Garbage. Will not purchase again. Bring back the old ones, which now seem impossible to find. Get a clue, Victor!

I paid for a 12 pack and was sent ONE single trap and no one has gotten back to me about it!

They are the only rat traps I have used that really work. They have a powerful spring so just need to be careful setting them.

They used to be great. Now I can't even arm them, the snap right back. I had to use pliers and bent the lever to somehow stay on. I got a few of them and most, the push spring was out and I had to put it back in place. No more of these

Ok with the new plastic, but hard to work with it. Design was fine, no need to replace it with plastic.

The plastic larger trigger with pre-baited odor is a good improvement over the original trigger. This particular size did well at trapping adult mice ( body length 4 or 5 finger widths ). The price is low enough to just dispose of trap and trapped mouse together, but the trap is sturdy enough to be reused if you desire to do so. The directions to put the baited trigger against a wall worked well.

I have not been able to use these because I can’t set them. If I can’t get someone to set these for me, I’m probably going to return them. The got great reviews. But very hard to set. That’s why only 2 stars for now.

The large plastic trigger are far more effective than the smaller metal trigger pans as the plastics makes it easier to set tension from a light set to firm set depending on the need.

The product required me to figure out that I had to remove the copper staple to release and set the spring loaded trap. But once I did so, I was able to load the trap with a 1/4 inch of peanut butter. Three days later, my wife spotted a rat in the trap in the garage. "Get rid of it." she exclaimed. Yes, this product works.

Victor makes many types of rat traps, but I have had the most success with this type. Always set to it to the higher sensitivity. Other traps Victor makes are decent, but these are a step above.

Very happy with the product and the packaging, haven't caught anything yet but I like these traps. Can be baited (I like to use pepperoni) and reused, would recommend and buy them again.
