Easy to install. Works as I wanted it to. Going to purchase one more soon.

This door chain is easy to install, especially if the door and the jamb are made of wood. The screws are a little on the small side as I feel they would rip out fairly easily if someone was pushing hard enough. The chain itself is easy to operate. The finish looks good, especially if there are other brass door fixtures.

This was purchased to replace an old one that had failed. It appears to be a better model, but the chain was significantly shorter, which meant I had to change the way it was mounted.

I installed this chain on my daughter's apartment door to replace one that had been damaged. The screws in this kit are a little on the short and slim side, and we've had to ask management to supply some screws that will actually grip the door frame better. Maybe b/c door frame was damaged?

great! used it to keep out a pesky room mate and it worked great. Also if anybody else has issues with sleep walking this might deter you if you place it high or low enough on your door haha

I bought one at Walmart's and a child pulled the chain right off. So I bought this one and it is very strong. Nice product.

YES, this is a good product. I would have prefered the chain to be 3 or 4 links longer, but this will suffice.

I am not sure i can write 50 characters concerning a door lock but my visit was good at the store with assistance as needed by associates i selected the door lock by myself with no assistance however the store associates did assist as needed. the lock works fine and i am not certain how it compares to pricing with your competitors HD and all stores should be concerned with the service we receive when shopping and the product should be of the last question since most people review product prior to shopping on products that are of much importance. A door lock is not that important except for the price. i usually receive the assistance needed in this store and the associates are nice. They do not run when they see you coming down an aisle. I usually have a little trouble getting the assistance needed in paint due to lack of associates however it is not as bad as some stores. There is usually at least one associate and if they are mixing they can only wait on one customer at a time.

The quality and value of this product is good. I did not see anything else on the shelf that would have been what I would have wanted, so this had to do the mediocre job. This Company or any other would need to redesign these so that the latch could have more sturdiness and security with hollow metal doors. Most developers install these kind of doors so Engineers get busy and get out of the stone age.

I got this when my husband deployed for a little bit of extra security since I'm essentially living alone while he's gone. It's held up well, but be aware that it only includes wood screws for installation, and they're not long enough to go all the way through standard trim. My dad opened the door without realizing the chain was on, and the trim started to pop right out of the wall, the chain along with it; no damage done, but if it was someone trying to force their way in, the trim would have come all the way off with very little effort. I now have it installed with the longest wood screws I could find so I know they go all the way into the stud, and it seems extremely secure. I also installed the slide with sheet metal screws because I have a steel door, and woods screws can potentially rip out of metal.

This was a replacement for an old door chain. I had just painted the walls and door of the entryway and wanted a new chain to match the dead bolt.Very pleased with product.

Chain Lock is fantastic...It makes me feel so much more secure in my home...Was easy to install & adds another layer of security in my home woith me living alone!

My grandson will be two years old in a few days. We live in the country, so thankfully there isn't much traffic on our street. He is bound to become a mechanical engineer someday as he can figure out how things work almost immediately! He was able to open the deadbolt lock and unlock the doorknob lock on the front door when I was not in the room. He went outside with the dog and could have made it to the highway in a few more minutes!! After finding it online, we put the Security Defender Solid Chain doorguard lock on the door. No more worries about this little fellow for a long time. Thanks, Home Depot!!
