PAINFUL to assemble but worth the trouble
Assembling this cart took me about 2 full hours because directions were awful and confusing. (Made in China, of course.) I had to do a lot of guesswork throughout, but finally got the whole cart together. Next step was to let it air outside overnight because the tires had a strong petro chemical odor. And finally, the tires were mostly deflated, so I had to pack it into my car and fill the tires with air at a local gas station. After all that trouble, the cart holds 200 feet of hose very well and is definitely more sturdy than those plastic hose carts. After I finish watering, I wind up the hose and store the cart in my garage. Bit of advice: WATCH and GUIDE the hose as you unwind and wind. If it slips off the reel while you are winding, you'll have a difficult mess and the reel will get stuck. My only wish for this cart is that it had swiveling wheels so I could navigate turns more easily. Other than that, it's worth it.

Not durable, complete waste of money
What a shame that this product, costing so much more than the average hose cart should disappoint so much.

Works just fine
Easy to put together. Wheels roll smoothly and easily. Like the little basket to hold nozzles, etc. Good value for the money paid.

Terrible
Got my First Hose Reel in 2 weeks The tire and inner tube was busted, Returned to Home Depot using UPS, Received 2nd Hose Reel from Home Depot another 2 weeks delivery. 2 tires were cut in the center including the inner tubes. Called Precision Tool instead of having to charge on my Home Depot card as I was waiting for the first returned credit Presion personally shipped me 2 new tires. Received in 2 weeks I am now prepared to install it. Instructions should just be thrown away Useless. This is not my first Rodeo Putting stuff together and did not have any trouble, if someone was not so inclined I fear they will have trouble with instructions (my Opinion). Hooked up New 200 Foot of Garden Hose to the intake on the Reel itself and then hooked up the leader hose from faucet to the intake that travels in the center Drum secured on a Bearing and the handle on one end and 2 bolts on the other end it up and the center water intake gushed out water. I called Precision back explained and they shipped me another intake that was ALL rusted up. Delivery time 2 weeks I started from scratch again assemble the hose reel up it up to the Faucet an Reel intake and the intake leaked GUSHED more water than before. I have spent 80 days from the date of order to today's date and have no reel. Returning it back to Home Depot tomorrow. It looks like I am not the only person with issues on Precision Tools. Home Depot shows them Out of Stock on all the items from that company. I have been since June trying to buy a Hose Reel. Now its fall and time to think about leaves. Home Depot was VERY Helpful in credit back my first reel.

Will work fine for winter hose storage
Quality could be better, but unfortunately that is the problem with just about everything you buy nowadays! Easy to put together. This hose reel will work for storing all my hose this winter.

Works as advertised
The cart was easy to assemble. The only issue I had is the hose connection to the cart from the faucet leaked. I was able to install an O ring between the fitting and hose connector and stopped most of the dripping. Other than that I haven't had any problems. It makes using a longer hose much easier to move around the yard and the large reel makes it much easier to wind the hose back onto the reel.

Dont Buy this
Very cheaply made. I own a construction company and trust me, dont waste your money. Spend about $40 more and get something that will last. After assembly there were leaks, missing parts (no axles), and unit was not sturdy. I will say company was nice and offered to send me parts, but I returned it.

Well made
Tried two other metal hose carts and they do not compare to this one. Sturdy tubular steel frame, inflatable rubber tires, easily holds 100' of 5/8" all rubber hose. Forget the plastic hose reels, forget the hose caddies, this is a beefy long lasting cart that can roll over all terrain, grass, gravel, loose dirt. Only complaint is the use of plastic lined metal acorn nuts instead of steel lock washer/nut combo and the use of one bolt on the handle section instead of two -- ended up drilling my own second set of holes to make the handle less prone to rocking-- overall a great value for a great product

Spend a few extra dollars on a different product, you won't regret it
I selected this cart based on being a "good value" relative to other carts of this capacity. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for. This cart is a prime example of Chinese junk. As other reviewers have noted, because the center of spool is just the 4 spindles (as opposed to a seamless wrap around the spindles), if you aren't careful the hose will bind and pinch when it is reeled onto the spool. That said, if you take your time you can wind the hose onto the spool without binding, so not a big deal. More to the point however is the overall build quality. The wheels are plastic and delivered uninflated. I carefully inflated (not overinflated) to the recommended pressure, and one of the tubes immediately failed. I have had to buy a replacement tube to fix this, making the cart less of a "good value". On top of that, the sidewalls on the cheap tires on it are already separating. Finally, the pieces fit together so poorly it does not matter how tightly you fasten the bolts it still wobbles. Like I said at the outset, you get what you pay for. Spend another $20-$30 and you will hopefully get something worthwhile.

Issues and complications
First of all the instructions are not clear and lacking in too many steps. Second the hardest part to install developed a leak due to in my opinion manufacturing defective design. On a good side, they did warranty replacement very well, however the design problem was still apparent in the replacement part and a plumber that cost me additional expense, came and fixed the apparent design problem. It does reel the hose well, but design and manufacturing left me disappointed.

Close But...
This cart went together easily and seems to be decent quality for the price. But, I haven't used it yet because my garden hose kinks on the reel. Instead of a round (cylindrical) reel drum, this has four bars that the hose wraps around. So, if your hose is light and kinks easily, it may kink as it's wrapped over the bars. I may put some pvc pipe around the bars to make an actual cylinder for the hose to wrap around. Or, I may spring for a new kink-proof hose.

Just as expected
This hose reel is sturdy and well made. It is easy to crank the hose back on. Only fault is that it moves around when you wind up the hose. We hold it in place with our feet.

BEST BUY FOR A HOSE CART
I have had many hose carts - those able to handle 250 feet of rubber hose are the best - most start to leak at the main connection after some time - this all steel model, which I bought two days ago, and which is identical to my second cart used at the back of the house, is well built and they even give directions for preventing leakage at the main inlet connection if that is a problem. My front hose in at line pressure which is 65 psi here in west Oak Ridge and most hose carts that I have used just are not designed for that pressure. I have had the head just blow off the cheaper plastic hose "racks" when subjected to this high pressure. Also, this cart is priced as high as $130 at some web sites while Home Depot sells it for a bit over $80.

If I don't get the missing parts I will be returning these items
I would probably like this product if I could ever get all the parts to put it together. I have called twice and ordered the missing parts and I am still waiting for them, after 2 weeks. I was told I would have them in 3 to 5 business days. Have not seen them.

Worth the money
As others have said, the assembly instructions are not very good. I see no way of adding the gadget basket because when using the crank, the basket is in the way. I've only had it about 5 weeks and now the summer is over, so it'll be in the garage till spring. I have a very similar hose reel purchased about 7 yrs ago so I rather knew what to expect. This new product seems to be durable and easy to move around the yard. When not in use its kept in the garage.

This product saves me time
I put 200 foot of 5/8 inch hose on this reel and I put quick connects on the leader hose that hooks to the faucet. This product keeps my hoses off of the ground and stored neatly. We will see how long the rotary seal works for. Time will tell.

250 FT. Hose Reel Cart
Product leaks on the rotating shaft. It needs horizontal grips not a vertical bar to be easy to maneuver. Had to take things back apart because instructions were very poor.

Let's get reel
Finally a hose reel cart that is worth the money. Looked at other carts that cost more money and was not impressed with the quality at the price point. This cart gets the hose storage situation under control and looks good doing it. Time will tell how long the powder coated finish and rubber tires hold up in the Arizona environment.

POOR Quality
Instructions were garbage. Had to guess at some of the assembly. O-rings leak like a sieve! Have had for 2 weeks and already rusting! Would never buy again.

Well engineered. Should hold up well.
I am impressed with the quality of the hose reel. No flimsy components. Also the cost which was about half as much as comparable models. On the down side, it took approx 3 hours to assembly. Lots of parts but everything fits well.

Item needed work
I had to purchase metal drill bit to make holes in accessories since they weren't all made. The extra $8 and time was a pain but it seemed easier than returning it.

Cart is stable but has poor quality tires
Assembly is straight-forward. The tube in one of the tires blew shortly after inflating it to the recommended 30 PSI. The tires are on plastic rims and have plastic sleeves that turn on the steel axle. Ball bearing rims would be a great improvement. The cart is stable when winding / unwinding hose. I had to slightly bend the pipe on the reel so I could connect the hose. Fit & finish is average.

Well made; looks like it will last.
metal connections for the hose. welded at the stress points. Big wheels to roll across the lawn, not bounce on it.
