Good product and easy to install.

Overall the fireplace doors are well constructed and very easy to install, but I can't recommend this model. It falls very short on appearance. The doors don't have the bass look that is shown on-line or on the packaging. It is a dark brown, which I have seen on other products like ceiling fans described as "Antiques Brass." I wish the photo would have appeared more like the product, and if so I would not have bought it.

I really like it but was sent with a wrong sized mesh panel and they’ve sent 2 replacements neither of which are correct. Still battling to get the right piece!

Due to the door closing inside the the frame, there is significant air that comes through from the Chimney.

Product was as stated. Would suggest that purchasers buy additional insulation to fill voids around inside of frame to add to better sealing along fireplace face. Lower fastener brackets could be longer to offset more to have a deeper install/ better bite on inside of lower fireplace wall. Unit took a couple of tries to get all the correct placements/ fastening as best as possible. Added the lower insert to give a better balanced overall appearance. Looks good and has a nice simple clean look to it. Helped with reducing cool draft from the open fireplace.

Easy to install. Was going to purchase an insert because of draft with old cover. This product was advertised as reducing drafts. This product reduced draft entirely and the view of the flame is great. Great find!

Product just what we wanted! Arrived at our door and in it went. We did have our gas fireplace guy install. There were no problems. Thank you HD

I'm very please with the operations of the door. The inside screen was not as I expected but I like it better. Also I ordered a gold door & it's more of a bronze color. Rather than deal with returning it we had it installed. After the installation it looks even better than I hoped. It seems to be very efficient as promised. Over all a good product.

I replaced a 20 year old set of doors that had tarnished and discolored. The new doors revived the room. The doors are heavy and a second set of hands are recommended to ensure a scratch-free installation. Installs easily in about 40 minutes. I did need to adjust one door for a perfect alignment. I did purchase extra insulation and was glad I did. My old 20 year old doors cost much more than this model and I expect these doors to last just as long. A great value. I already have enjoyed several fires!

There were many options to choose from! Our family chose the Carrington. The soft brass color blended well with the brick front of the fireplace. The doors and screens open easily and the install was a DIY. Waiting for a chill to light a fire!

As other reviewers have said, the color is very dark. Installation was a breeze.

I just replaced old cheap fireplace doors for my son and this set is of very high quality and installed easily. Heavy gauge metal, well constructed and smooth operating.

Well made. Well packaged. Time will tell how durable it is. Looks good. Vast improvement over the 20 yr old doors/screens I had previously.

It is just like the beautiful picture, and relatively easy to install. The only reason it did not get a 5 star rating was that there was not enoughbe insulation included.

We've only used them once so far, but, so far, I'm very happy. Our chimney sweep installed them for us, and it did take him close to an hour. But they work just as he said they would and look just lovely. The reasons we got these: 1. To save energy. Closing the doors after the fire has burned to embers keeps the heat from the room from flowing back up the chimney. 2. To reduce smokiness from the fireplace. It does seem to have helped. 3. Also, I love the mesh screen that opens out from the center like a pair of doors. It works, if anything, better than our old free standing screen and takes up less room in our small living room.

Installation went quick and easy. I'm pleased with the quality and the look of the product. Bifold doors and screens work well.

Fairly easy to install; I needed to extend the brackets to fit my fireplace, but that was no big deal. It looks great; and is heavier duty than I was expecting! We are very happy!

The overall quality of these doors is very good, and they look really nice. The mounting hardware and instructions leave a little to be desired, but I finally figured it out. The supplied insulation is nowhere thick enough to provide an adequate seal from smoke around the brick joints, and i had to add some of my own. I think these units are overpriced, but overall, I am happy. It arrived in good condition, with no shipping damage. I would strongly suggest a store display, with at least one set of doors, so we can "touch-feel" before buying.

When looking for a replacement fireplace door unit I found the Carrington unit to be styled nicely, a great value, installed easily and functionally superior. Home Depot really surprised me with how quickly the unit arrived by truck.

Delivery was timely. Product could not be installed by contractor because doors did not fully open to allow access to the existing fireplace. Returned for credit against charge card. Will likely not order a similar product online the next time around because we could not see it "in person.

I have purchased from Pleasant Hearth previously and was very glad that Home Depot had the model that I wanted in their stock that PH was not making any more....online purchase was flawless.

The product is what I wanted; however, not enough insualtions came with the prduct. The local Home Depot does not have it nor could I find it on your website. I have search other large stores as well as loca ones and can not find the insualtion tht we need. That is a bummer!!! We really are not comfortable using our firelace screen until we can get the insulation.

The door color is way too much different to the pictures. It is actually more like gray color.

I'm glad the brass is darker than the picture. It makes it look richer. It was easy it to install. It arrived the day they said it would. Very satisfied with everything.. We looked at similar custom doors starting at $1000. These are just as good.
