These bulbs purchased online from Home Depot at one half the price ($8) than the in store price ($16). I use dimming wall switches which are ideal for this LED. 65W is very bright, brighter than you typically want even when bright is what your shopping for. I use them at about 70% brightness or much lower for movies or mood. It is arguable that the bulbs hum, but it is very faint and in my install with 12ft ceiling they are not heard at all. It truly is barely audible even on the 9ft ceilings. at $8 each I installed 40 of them throughout 5 bedroom home and have enjoyed them for 3 months so far. Extremely happy to have the brightness fully controllable and the daylight color.

I hope it will come in higher intensity (something equivalent to traditional 100w) in the near future.

If only I had changed over to these sooner. Love the lights. I have a house on a mature lot that faces North. So when the trees leaf out it is always dark inside (hate that but there were few houses available when I moved here). These are bright and to me, cheery. I saw some other reviews that thought the daylight bulbs were too bright. Not for me. I never cared for the yellow glow off the soft white bulbs. I plan to replace all my older "swirly" bulbs (which never gave as much light as the incandescent bulbs they are meant to replace) with LEDs (which are brighter than the incandescent bulbs they replace, so you could actually go down to a lower comparable wattage and still get as much light) . They may be costly (I got mine on sale) - but to me nothing else compares.

These lights are great. They have a bright white light that comes on bright instantly unlike their cfl competition. Even the dimming feature works good. Love them, very satisfied with purchase.

These lights are extremely bright, and are great to have in a kitchen area. Using them in other areas, such as a foyer, makes them seem out of place because the light is bright white, rather than the yellowish-white you get from the traditional 2700K bulbs. They do not give off the heat of an incandescent or even a fluorescent light bulb, do not have the risk of mercury contaminant found in fluorescent light bulbs, and are very energy efficient. The instant-on is so much better than waiting for the spiral-like fluorescent bulbs to warm-up. I've also found that the spiral-like fluorescent bulbs usually last only 2 to 3 years in a can-light fixture, while these are specifically produced for this purpose and rated for a 22 year life. I really like these bulbs, and would purchase again for the same use, if they were available at the price I paid (50% of normal price). At full price, I still think they are a great product, but would not have purchased enough to replace every standard can-light bulb at once. I do recommend this product or any name-brand LED light to replace incandescent or fluorescent bulbs, simply for the benefit of energy savings.

these lights are bright and have the perfect light temperature. I am using them in the kitchen and family room where they provide the best lighting I have had in there. I used incandescent and CFLs previously and these beat the light from either. They turn on instantly and dim perfectly.

Converted my home with 5000K LED lights using Philips and Cree. Once you have 5000K lighting, it will be hard going back down to 2700K because you eyes would have to work harder. In another words, the 5000K lighting will help preserve your eyesight. I save at least 50% on electric bill. So far so good, no failure after 1 year. I like them so much, I even converted a couple overhead rail lights to BR30 fixtures.

I have 4 of these in my bathroom, great color, I can finally see to shave, but where did ALL those wrinkles come from?

The best price we have seen for LED bulbs so far. Now there is no way to say how long they will last, but it sure made the lower level family room more bright and cheerful. Our research indicates you can't do better than Phillips brand when it comes to LED, so we have been gradually stocking up and replacing our incandescent can lights. We have seen a noticeable decrease in our electric bill too. Yes they are expensive, but if they last like they say they will, it's an investment. These are a very bright white light. If you want something warmer, this is not your bulb.

If you are looking for a bright light this is the bulb to purchase. Using as ceiling lights and haven't had to turn on normal ceiling light in kitchen. Make sure you read package. Must say 5000K.

The output of this light is very good. However, one concern is how hot the plastic housing gets just behind the LED lense. It actually gets a bit hotter than most of the other lights I have tested. Time will tell.

This is the forth led flood light I've tried in our basement, and it's the best and least expensive. The area of the bulb is rounded and it truly gives the broadest light coverage. If your complaint about led lights was that they were more of a spot light, this is by far the most similar to a halogen flood. I'm really happy with the design and how bright it is.
