A: The only difference is contemporary vs. modern. I converted kitchen to a more modern concept and like the slim line better. It is a personal preference. On the lighter side your guests won't be looking up at your bulbs but the illumination and ambiance they create.

A: Soft white has a warmer color temperature (2700K) versus daylight (5000K). The higher the Kelvin, the cooler/more blueish it gets.

A: I am using Lutron 600w Single-Pole Preset Dimmer on four(4) lights. The model no. is DV-600P. It comes in a couple of colors. Definitely doing the job.

A: Check the manufacturers website. This can give you an idea if it is still being made. Some manufacturers will discontinue because of no demand. Since these are dimmable bulbs check to see if you can purchase a higher wattage.

A: Yes, non dimming switch is ok. Keep in mind that the 65W daylight color is very bright without dimming.

A: You can use it with a regular switch and it will turn on at full brightness.
