Thank you for sharing this positive feedback with us, Edgar! We do not currently offer a clear version of flexible pet door flaps but you can typically help pets get over any apprehension they may have by spending a few sessions each day training them. It is best to approach the beginning of training by propping the flap open so that they can see straight through. If they are food motivated you can stand on the other side with treats or if they prefer toys you can use that method as well to coax them through from the other side. Once they are a little more comfortable with it you can gradually lower the flap and they will typically begin to use it on their own.

We would like to be sure that your closing panel is put on properly so that it is most secure. When you put on the closing panel, please be sure to press forward on the panel until you hear a very distinct "snap" sound. This tells you that the closing panel is properly in place. Then, to remove the panel, grip the vertical sides with your fingers and press in on the face of the panel with your thumbs bending the plastic. This will let the panel lift away.

We're so sorry for any misunderstanding about our use of nylon screws, Edith! Please understand that these screws are used to maximize the longevity of your pet door. Nylon screws are able to move with the door as it shifts due to time and weather; metal screws would put undue stress on the frame and damage it over time. We do apologize for any confusion.

We are sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulty removing the closing panel for your Plastic Pet Door, Saddy! When removing the panel or placing the panel on the door, start with a hand on each handhold and then use your thumbs to press into the middle of the panel. This will bend the handles out enough that you can then release its grip from the door frame.

It is critical for the longevity of your door to use the high quality, sturdy nylon screws included with this door. This is because these screws are able to provide flexibility, adjusting with the natural shifting of the frame over time due to temperature changes and time, etc. If metal screws are used, the frame of the door will become damaged over time due to excess strain. This pet door is only supposed to have one vinyl flap. If you want a door with two vinyl flaps, you would be more interested in either our Wall Entry Door or our Extreme Weather Pet Door.
