I absolutely recommend this. If you properly train your dog it works wonders. My dog, Milo, doesn't go anywhere near the boundary on only the medium setting. He's a stubborn german shepherd pitbull mix. So if you're wondering if this works for large breed, yes, yes it does. This is NOT a gps boundary. This is a boundary that is set by an adjustable radius around the main box. Milo is at the point with the boundary that I can leave him outside all day and he'll still be in the yard.

We've had this for almost 3 years now. We have a beagador who is 45 pounds and this product works great. I've never had to worry about him being outside alone. People walk by and of course he barks but he never goes near his end zone, even when the neighborhood cats lay right over the boundary line (they all know his limits by now). We live on the corner of a semi-busy neighborhood too and I feel safe with this.. qs long as he has his collar on he dont knos its off if we lose power. Fully recommend this to EVERYONE! We even bought a random cute collar and transfered the piece to the new collar and still works great!! I was able to get this whole thing done by myself. Super easy!

We’ve had those for a few years now and it ha slept our Siberian Husky out of lots of trouble with the neighbors! She listens so much better and stays around the house. We just recently got another husky and we’re thinking about purchasing another collar but I wasn’t sure if you could have multiple dogs with this system?

We live in the country and have a Setter who can scale 6 foot fences and a 200lb Great Dane who is protective. After a lot of research this was the only product that fit our needs. And it works so well! We learned quickly not to leave the collars too loose, and that our Setter would notice if we let her battery go. To our surprise the signal works inside our 20x40 metal barn :). Our favorite feature is that the dogs can come and go from any door and still be safe inside their fence.

We have owned our system for over 8 years and it has worked great for the 2 dogs we had on it. However, when we added a 3rd collar the added collar went a little crazy beeping erratically even when right next to the system. I've repaired the collars using the steps several times. The new collar, the one that seems to be going crazy the most, has 8 settings vs the other 2s 5 settings. I'm not sure if that is a reason for its acting strangely? The 2nd collar is now beeping erratically though. I'm thinking it's time to replace the whole system and all 3 collars. I love the system and definitely want to say thank you for having it. It definitely keeps my dogs safe and from running. It's worked great for many years and I think we've just worn it out! Definitely getting another system!

I’m so happy with our pod system!! We have 2 pups that encourage each other to wander a bit...and my smaller pup wouldn’t come home. I was so worried we’d end up with the worst news possible, so we tried everything!! Then a friend got us to research this product...best decision I could have ever made for my pups safety. Now my dogs on the other hand hate it...their wanderlust years are far behind them. The days of roaming the streets are over. Which makes me one happy mom. Now the only down fall, is that once a month we have to unplug the pod itself to let it reset. Other wise the pups will get shocked within the perimeter. Other than that, it’s my favorite thing.

If you love your pet do not buy this product. Research suggests a correlation between lymphoma in dogs and wireless collars. I also know from first hand experience. My dog was diagnosed with lymphoma today. He is only 7 years old and has always been in great health. He has been on the "petsafe wireless containment system" for less than a year. His lymph nodes are swollen where the collar used to sit on his neck. Do your pet a favor build a fence it will be worth it in the long run.

I have a Shetland sheep dog, she weighs 24 pounds, and LOVES to run and attempt to heard cars! Lol I couldn’t keep her home because she loved exploring neibors yards, but didn’t want to keep her locked up in a chain length 10x10 kennel so I looked at this for another option. I’ve had it for 6 months now, it only took me 30 minutes to set it up, and it only took her 3 days to figure it out. very much worth the money. Would buy it again if it happened to tear up today. I never have to worry about her now and always feel safe with her outside. ☺️

Really easy set up. Training worked and now my pets are happy to roam about and I’m at ease knowing they won’t run away. Best part is we can take it with us camping.

Worked perfectly for our stubborn baby. We put up a chain link fence but it was no challenge for our little tunnel digger/escape artist. We could have saved a lot of money if we had just purchased the Per Safe wireless containment system. Had to turn it up to 4 right from the start but he learned to obey the beep after just 2 attempts to leave the yard. I recently accidently shocked myself when I was setting it up at my daughters who was dog sitting for us.....IT HURT so I'm turning it down to shock level 2. Great product that saved us the heartache of getting rid of our best dog friend. Also very simple and portable set up for us since we travel often and he goes with grandkids while we're away.

Took my GSD one lesson and to learn what the beeps meant. He did associate the flags with the border really quickly as well. I have terrible terrian for a fence so this finally allowed my dog to play outside without chasing a runner or paying 5k for a fence. Was a little confusing on how to set up the boundry but once I figured it out it's a cake walk. One thing for the makers: If you can make one that does biderectional control that would be awesome and I would buy it in a heart beat. My house is 60ft from the street but he would have 90ft of backyard. I would set the one option to 6 for front yard and 8 for backyard. Just food for thought. Thanks again for this product.

After one correction, our 7 1/2 month old/73 lb. Boxer has turned, from a terror on the run outside to an angel. We purchased this product as a less expensive alternative to constrict our pet to the yard and it works! I recommend if you're not at home/dog in cage-collar off, thunderstorm-collar off, unplug the unit from the wall-collar off first, in bed for the night-collar off. Monitor your pet for safety as with anything. This is the best investment I've ever made. Easy set-up.

It works like a charm, I have a Rottweiler/Dalmatian mix. After 2 times being corrected, he knows what the beep means, it was easy setup. The flags were annoying because they bend easy. However if you make the hole with a tiny screwdriver or something, they slide right in. It took a few minutes to set up. Over all it works great. Now the (but), when I walk out and hear the beep, then step back to set a flag, it keeps beeping sometimes even a couple of feet back. Dosent seem to be an issue, as long as my dog hears the beep im fine

Have used the inground fence for 20 years, and the wireless for the past 5 years, both at home and at our cottage. Would NOT be without it!!! Have 3 dogs on it, and will be adding a new addition shortly.

I purchased two devices over 15 years ago with an additional collar for our property that was too large (would of been too expensive) to build a fence. Since then we have moved and have used the collars and devices on trips, family visits and our new dogs. Unfortunately after 15 years I now need to purchase new collars but the devices are still working. How often can you say anything still works after 15 years nowadays? May be a little expensive but totally worth the money!!!

Transmitter box randomly just stops working correctly...lights up and says it's on but it's NOT so it's NOT RELIABLE. Both collars have brand new batteries and I can walk forever with them in hand but no beeps, vibrate or shock.

We set it up and our dog which is a big one gets alert then just walks right through it. We have it set high and yes we’ve tested with the things that came in the box. I feel like this has been a complete waste of money.

Bought this 2 years ago and now it chocks the dogs continuously while they’re sleeping in the house. I reset the modem nothing is near it. Both collars have new batteries. My dogs are tortured by this malfunction will petsafe guarantee this product and replace it? Or will they give me more excuses why it’s my fault somehow?

Absolutely love the versatility of this product. We are able to have it hung up high on the wall so our children can’t mess with it. It was a super easy set up very self-explanatory and my dogs caught on very fast now if they get anywhere near the beeping, they turn right around and they know that they can’t go any further the batteries for the collars have been lasting anywhere from 2 to 3 months and I previously had a pet safe one that was a rechargeable collar. I’d prefer the batteries it’s easier just to replace the battery with living in Navy housing and traveling back-and-forth. It’s really nice to have some thing we can take with us to keep our dogs contained I have a large golden doodle and a medium size Aussie doodle.

Having to constantly repair the underground wiring (if you could locate the breaks!) of the Invisible Fence system, we replaced it with this Pet safe Containment System. That was 15 yrs ago and we have never looked back! Although we live on 7 acres, we were interested in only fencing approx 1 acre which encircled our house. Set-up and training instructions was easy. I noticed that it is now recommended that the transmitter be placed inside your house but years ago it was suggested, I believe, that a porch or garage would be sufficient. Since we live in the Deep South, we placed our transmitter inside a screened porch, centered in the middle of the house, where temps rarely dip below 27*. Recently temps/wind chill plunged to -10 here, but our system never faltered! Replacement of the collar batteries is easy & the flashing red light on the collar advises you to replace batteries. Our dogs swim in our lake and we've never had an issue with their collar receiver's malfunctioning. By the way, we found that once our dogs learned the boundaries, the collar was not necessary so we removed/replaced it with their normal collars. However, relapses can occur particularly with young dogs so simply change the collars out. We have NEVER had any problems or malfunctions with our system, and I would highly recommend this product without reservations!

This system worked great for our dog! She learned in a day! And was so much cheaper then quotes I was getting for systems with buried lines.

Needs to keep shocking the dog once it has went out of the zone instead of stopping once they get so far out of the zone!

We bought this system back in Dec 2021 and we love it! Only problem we are now having is that the collar will no longer connect and the box keeps turning itself off! Reached out to customer service, so hopefully will hear something back soon!

I am beyond impressed with the Petsafe Wireless fence. We have had it for a year and a half for our two dogs. Love the fact that they got used to the boundaries very quickly and have learned to love their play area. I take them to my parents’ house occasionally and its great to be able to carry it with me. They know their boundaries at both places so well that I don’t remember the last time they got shocked. This really takes the stress out of owning outside dogs!

I have a 3yo lab/retriever/collie mix that is very high energy. I bought this product so I could keep him off the busy road that I live on. However the battery life lasts on the collar about 2 weeks. Even fully charged there isn't enough energy to make the dog change his mind about running off. He has decided to run off 3 times in the last 2 months. As I am currently writing this, I am still waiting to hear from anyone about his whereabouts.

We have a 75lb golden doodle Who wouldn’t stay in our yard. Loved to visit neighbours. We bought this unit amd it didn’t take long to train him. Works perfect. Keeps him in the yard and he neber pushes the boundaries. Stays well within the perimeter. Would like it to have a slightly bigger perimeter, likely should have went with the wires system, but this was so easy to setup.
