This is an outstanding kit and fun to put together. There were no problems putting it together but you must read the instructions which are well written. You can download the instructions on the web to see what you are getting into. If you like building things, this is the kit for you. I would not recommend this kit for someone who is not handy with tools because it is a challenge which is part of the fun.

This product looks nice when completed, but requires some departures from the instructions. The box arrived with a hole, and a corresponding 3 " hole in one of the shingles on the back wall of the cabinet (there was no internal protection on the large sides of the box). I filled it with quite a bit of drywall patch, but it looks cheap. The roof shingles were supposed to be 3 sizes, but was packed with two of the same size, so I have two shingles that are 1" longer than the rest of the row. If you align the side walls with the base, you end up about 1 1/2" short on the trim boards above the door. I caulked the entire inside, and installed rubber seals around the doors (to keep black widows out of the shed), then painted the entire shed. My total construction time was about 3 days. I had several redo's due to both my mistakes, and dimensions that don't work as described in the plans.

Great little shed
A great little shed, well built, looks nice. My only issue was a broken piece in transit which caused a delay in finishing. I called the number in the booklet and within a week I received a replacement. There are many parts but this goes together pretty easily in an 8hr period, make sure you have a good drill!

    Great buy
Good quality wood, was easy to assemble. Directions were great and I had the shed built in a day.

    Great Utility Shed
I have purchased these types of sheds before and they are always the same. Decent quality and a pretty good project for two people to do in a few hours. The product was shipped directly from the manufacturer in 2 big boxes. Definitely need a little muscle to lift and place panels. They really should make the roof better - it's the only piece that I did not like. I purchased some melamine shelving and put that on the inside instead of the tiny shelves they include. All in all a good value.

    Lovely but warped
In fairness let me say that I love the finished product. It looks great and is exactly what I wanted. Good storage with flexible shelving, not to large and natural material, With that said, it would not look so good without the skills of the person that put it together with me. Some of the critical wood parts, like the header over the door was warped as was the right door itself. It took two full days and fair amount of carpentry skill to put together and have it look good and work properly. This is the second storage shed purchased from Home Depot that had warped parts. It will be the last. There were other problems like some of the trim pieces did not line up correctly but that might have been a result of the warped wood. For the amount of money this shed cost, it should have been much higher quality. Not for a beginner to put together.

    Garden Shed
There was a little 'tweaking' of parts for a good fit, but nothing too difficult. It did take quite a long time to assemble, it was not a quick job.

    Great Cedar Shed
This is a really nice storage shed. I assembled everything but my wife helped me put on the roof and trim. It took about 4 hours to build so it's not an overwhelming project. If I can offer any advise, stain the shed before putting on the trim unless you are going to spray on the stain and pre-drill your screw holes.

Given how little it is, takes a very long time to assemble...
Liked: it's real cedar wood and some screws. No plastic junk here. Looks good when finished. Disliked: took 6 hrs for two of us to assemble. Pretty flimsy design, I'm not sure how well it will hold up.

    Surprisingly Good
In an age of fiberboard and plastic, this kit was a real surprise: All wood, and red cedar at that. The work to assemble is is not hard, but give yourself six to eight hours, and have a helper standing by for a few tasks that take two people (total helper time less than 1/2 hour). Also, take the time to label each piece as you inventory them when unpacking the boxes, it will save time as you get to the work of building. No missing pieces and even a little extra hardware! Everything fit great, and the instructions are complete and well-illustrated. Just take your time and be sure you understand each step completely. This is a real good product, maybe a little pricey, but overall worth the money!

When put together, it is very flimsy, not very sturdy.
Not very sturdy when put together. If I had seen it in person I would not have bought it.

      Just as Advertised
I found this to be just as advertised, no more, no less. The key is to take your time with the assembly, read all the instructions, etc. The only time I got in to any trouble was when I "jumped ahead" without reading the next steps because I thought I knew what I was doing. It's a solid unit, and the rains have come since construction, and it's bone dry inside. I recommend using caulk on the seams, which the instructions mention as optional.

      Very nice and functional shed!
Great little shed (for our little garden) and looks good too. It ships in 2 flat boxes, and then you must assemble. The instructions were clear and all the necessary hardware and screws/nails were included. Assembly took me about 3.5 hours (there was an awful lot of trim to nail in), and occasionally I had to cut pieces to get a snug fit. But once complete, works great. It has shelves you can hang inside too. All in all a nice shed, that will hopefully stand up to our winter rains.

Good quality product - takes some time to assemble
This is a nicely constructed cabinet/mini-shed, but takes several hours to construct. The parts fit reasonably well (the doors took some additional sanding to close properly) and the final product works well. You have to provide your own caulk - otherwise parts are all included.

      A big project
I think the quality of this product is very good. But it is not a small or easy project. The tolerances are quite tight, so you have to make sure to put each piece in carefully. Even though we tried to do this, we seem to have gotten the roof about 1/8 inch back, which necessitated purchase of one replacement strip of trim. Never the less, I am pleased with the end product. We put on a transparent cedar tinted sealer, which is nice looking. If you are an amateur, you will need two people to build. Perhaps a professional could build this without help. The instructions are pretty clear and helpful.

      doors are falling apart
I bought a house at the beginning of the year and the shed was already there. The doors are falling apart and that happened this summer after a few weeks of using it daily. Although the rest of the shed is sturdy, nice and good, the pieces that hold the hinges and door closures are coming apart, undone. So one of the vertical plank of one door came apart and the horizontal piece with the hinge on it and the one with the door closure. That's because those pieces are thinner and are held together with tiny staples/nails. I was wondering why this was happening now and not with the previous owners and my neighbours said that's because they weren't using it on a daily basis like I was. I garden a lot so I used the shed a lot.

        Good Value, some small problems
Overall I was quite pleased with this shed. The quality is good, all the parts were there (with extra hardware supplied) and the instructions were clear. I was really happy to get the hardware in separate bags instead of all jumbled up. The screws are square drive, and a square drive bit is supplied (the bit was thoughtfully painted red so you could easily find it!). You will need a power drill and not a weaker battery operated screwdriver to assemble this. I made several minor mistakes with trim in putting it together, due to not reading the instructions super carefully. In general the parts all fit together nicely and I did it by myself in about a total of 8 hours. Two places could be improved: the header that goes across the top front is too small/weak in my opinion and easily twisted with their assembly method. If I could do it over I would purchase two small L brackets to install the header with instead of the screws they want you to use. Secondly, the roof is a bit lame, with the plywood and paper just big enough to fit the shed (no overhang) although the cedar shingles themselves overhang. I had to go out and buy some flashing to put on the rear edge of the roof, and I'm thinking about putting some flashing on the sides as well where the roof meets the sides. The shed turned out to be a bit small for my stuff and I wish I had found room in my yard for a bigger one. But overall I was pleased with the quality and design, as well as the finished product.

          Beautiful
Don't you love it when it's BETTER than you expected. I do and it was. The price was high for the size but if you want something that really looks good, pay the price. We put exoctic wood sealer on all the pieces before putting it together so it should last a very long time. We have it out by the spa for towels and spa supplies ( we put shelves in) and it's great.

I am always looking to use normal things in an unusual way!
I purchased this tool shed for an unconventional purpose. I am using it as an additional bedroom wardrobe closet. It is made of cedar. It is both long enough and deep enough to store items on the pre-built shelves that came with it. Installation instructions were clear and easy to follow. The look is great! Hey, Did I mention it was cedar! :) I love having it in the house. It gives the room an additional storage unit and fits with the rustic garden theme I went for. If it didn't work for the room, I would have proudly added it to my garden. Quality is great, looks great, easy to put together. (I also got to think outside the box on this one!) You won't regret spending the money on a quality item.

            Easy to assemble
This is a great little shed; be warned that it's only about 5 feet high so tall tools like rakes, etc may not fit. The kit is very easy to assemble, especially if you have a friend helping (recommended for getting the four walls squared properly). Instructions are in clear ENGLISH (thank you!), and total assembly for this 'couch potato DIY-er' was about 4 hours. Would definitely recommend.

              An attractive, well-built garden shed
The OLT Garden Chalet is an attractive rough cedar addition to our yard and a handy place to keep garden tools and supplies. Delivery was prompt. The kit was complete with extra screws and nails. Generally, the parts fit together well with a few minor exceptions. The cedar shingles included were a few inches longer than specified, requiring the back row to be trimmed. Assembly took longer than four hours, but I worked carefully. For instance, I caulked every joint. Overall, we are quite pleased with the finished results and I would definitely order it again.

              Unassuming Storage Capacity
I really love this garden chalet, though putting it together was quite time consuming and difficult at times. The wood smells lovely, looks lovely and the storage is surprisingly adequate for my Reel Mower, weed eater and countless other tools. I would definitely recommend this garden chalet.

A qualty kit, but not for novices..
I read the reviews for this shed before ordering and I was glad I did. The instructions are very thorough, but this is definitely a plan you want to read all the way through first before starting. Overall I was very impressed in the quality of the workmanship and I had no issues with incorrectly cut or missing parts. Assembly of this shed took me essentially an entire day of steady work, being very careful to follow the instructions properly. Pre-drilling pilot holes, and some wood working skills regarding attachments ensure a high quality finished product. If you are the type that opens the box and just tries to throw it together, this is not the shed for you!

Good Shed, but longer than 3 hrs to piece together
I just bought this shed last weekend. We have a small yard, so I was looking for something to fit next to the house. It arrived in about 2 weeks, and came in two separate boxes. I consider myself handy around the house, and found this shed time consuming to put together. It was not difficult by any means, but there were a tonne of separate pieces, which were not labelled. It took me about 9 hours to construct! All in all, a good quality little shed.

                    A huge waste of money
If you like struggling with warped and bowed wood and pieces that have not been cut correctly, then this is for you. Very poor workmanship - I finally gave up and redesigned it and had to purchase additional wood for stability and to correct their errors. Do not waste your money!!!!

                    Almost perfect
A sturdy and attractive wood shed with pretty good instructions, but... not ideal. Needs some design modifications. There are alot of little pieces that take up alot of time in putting this shed together, and sequencing of construction is a little off. Example: with the roof, which is put on in the beginning of the project, and then a finished piece that is designed to cover a gap at the back of the shed, that doesn't sit flush. The instructions should clarify that the back of the roof needs to be flush with the back wall. We just bought a bigger piece to cover that gap. It also needs alot of caulking where the roof meets the walls. We just got ours set up, so we'll see how water tight it is this spring.

Read itce, Read it Twice, Look at all pieces
Please measure all trim pieces and use a Sharpie to Letter each trim piece on the backside of the trim. Use the Ryobi counter sink drill bit kit from Home Depot to predrill all your 2 and 1/2 inch screws. I recommend buying a small clear plastic tray with lid to seperate all the screws and nails to keep them in than the clear plastic bags that come from the factory. Use a sharpie to note the sizes of screws to keep your pieces in order. I recommend using the CWF or "CLEAR WOOD FINISH"from the Flood Company after its finished (1) gallon will be plenty. You can get that from Home Depot as well, along with a white china hair brush that is for $3.99 that is a desposible after its use. You may want to put two coats of CWF, on the doors after their installed. After installation of doors take them back down to stain them. Lay them flat on a Horizontal surface to put more finish on them than painting them vertical. I recommend caulking all wooden wall seams from the interior so the Clear caulk is hidden making a neat apperance after completion. Predrill all your roof shingles to help eliminate splitting. Looks really nice after completion.
