Exactly as I Expected
Some things to note. This item ships in two boxes. We elected ship to store and took advantage of curbside pickup. When we got home, we realized the box was “2 of 2”. A quick couple of conversations with CS and they confirmed box “1 of 2” was on its way. Picked it up a couple of days later and the box was a mess. I unpacked and labeled every item to make sure all pieces were accounted for. Then I took the advice of one reviewer and treated all 6 sides of every board—I used linseed. My husband and I assembled over a two-day period so the staining process took about five hours and the assembly took another eight, but we really were in no rush. Really pleased with the finished product. Drilling a million pilot holes as the instructions recommended is a must. As are power tools—used a drill and cordless screwdriver. We found the instructions to be relatively easy to follow with ample nails/screws provided. So happy with how it turned out!

Let me start by saying, the finished product is really great. That said, the shed comes in two boxes and I want to say 4962 individual pieces. I'm not averse to some assembly, but for the price they could have ponied up a bit more packing material and done some of the assembly at point of manufacture (prime example, they assembled the roof about 40%, all outside shingles and trim need to be attached "to avoid damage during shipping"). They also have a page that defines each individual piece's dimensions, instead of taking the the extra effort of labeling any of them - so find the 2.5 x .5 x 36 piece, not be confused with the 2.5 x .5 x 35 piece or any of the several angled 2.5 x .5 x 36.25 pieces??!! Aside from that frustration, you need to be very careful with some of the smaller pieces - be sure you drill pilot holes and don't be tempted to just let the screws do the work, as splitting WILL happen. As a mea culpa, I will concede that I did this project solo. Not sure how well this will age, but this was during the "social distancing" of 2020, so didn't want to put myself or anyone else at risk to hold things while drilled and so forth - for best results; have a helper. If you like the attached picture, I used Olympic WaterGuard 1 gal. Harvest Gold Transparent Wood Stain and Sealer to get that color.

Just the right size for small backyard
Good quality kit. Fairly easy to build if you are handy. Obviously not very big, but good for a small townhouse backyard. Fits a small electric 14" lawnmower and many garden tools.

Well made kit - took about 6 hours labor (diyourselfer). Take your time and test fit / read directions. Quality components provided plus extra screws and nails. Of course, interior dimensions not 4x2 but adequate - would have liked to have one slightly larger in same shape. Price is fair - look for it on sale!

      Perfect Garden Shed <3
Overall: Great, sturdy Product, I am totally happy! Fast S&H & nothing was damaged. Assembly: You do need someone who is "handyman-ish". Although the step by step instructions are very helpful, it's somewhat vague on aligning the seams on the base. It does requires drilling, hammering, sealant & a helper. Advice: Make sure you use ALL the trim & sealant as instructed. Don't be tempted to skip! This will ensure no leaks when it rains & reinforces the overall structure. Issues: There is enough lead-way to adjust the front doors with the flange if it's not exact. But follow the instructions & pictures to align sides/roof. The interior shelves were about 1/4" too short & would fall through. We had to use another piece of wood for additional support. Total assembly time: 3 hrs

      Good storage customizable.
My husband assembled over weekend and recommends directions are read first and seal outside surfaces before assembly. We customized with kitchen cart for lower shelves and work space, used wire shelf for light items, and attached original shelves on doors with screw hooks for hanging tools. Looks good and unobtrusive in back yard.

        Don't be intimidated . . .
When the two flat-pack arrived, I was somewhat intimidated. Before assembly, I went and also bought a 8amp Milwaukee torque screwdriver and cordless power drill. I am good at directions, but wasn't sure about fitting all the pieces together. The instructions said 4-6 hours. I was careful and precise, and had the entire shed built in barely 3 hours. It looks great, and even though it's just a simple-looking garden shed, it has gotten many compliments. It is far better looking than a plastic shed, and since it is in a visible spot near my garden, attractiveness was important. I'm very pleased with the look, the finish, and the convenience of the shed. And I'm just a bit smug in telling others that I "built it myself." A perfect quality product for display and storage.

Home Depot is ripping you off....
This shed is 20% cheaper if you buy direct from manufacturer. Just saying. I found it to be of reasonable quality, with poor instructions for assembly and for some odd reason, rough sawn cedar only on the sides. Well worth the $900 charged on company website, but not the $1100 HD is charging.

This storage shed is excellent. Just buy it. I considered buying it for over a year, finally pulled the trigger, and I have no regrets. We have a small outdoor storage space where we are constrained in width, and this small shed fits just right. I am happily replacing an old plastic cabinet with this attractive cedar shed. It arrived in two boxes, and it was well packaged and contained all the correct materials. We built a foundation using four pavers, one for each foot, and some large gravel. We leveled the pavers on the gravel and confirmed it was level again after we built the floor of the shed. Then we proceeded to build the rest of the shed, which took two people who are handy (but not carpenters) to put it together in about 8 hours over two days. We downloaded instructions from the website and watched the instructional video to learn how to put it together. Some of the instructions were a little difficult to follow, but we muddled through. The project went quickly until the roof, which was not entirely shingled. We had to attach about 30% of the shingles ourselves, and this was a new skill to us, so it took a long time to do it right. The only other problem arose toward the end when we were putting the final decorative boards on the front door and the sides. Several of these were not cut precisely, so we had to shave down the edges ourselves. If you have a table saw, this could be done easily, but we do not. We used a planer, which worked fine, but it slowed us down. Now the pieces fit together like a puzzle. The hardware is really nice and the color contrast looks good against the cedar. The entire piece is very attractive, smells good, and appears to be made of good quality cedar. We plan to seal it with Thomson's water seal as suggested by some of the other reviewers because it will be exposed to rain and snow. We are really delighted with this shed because it looks good, has useful shelves and a tall space for shovels and rakes, and it is just the right size for our outdoor storage space. It is positioned next to our garden, and I think it adds a rustic, nice-looking element to the space.

There’s a lot to assemble and you need to pay attention. Overall it’s good looking once assembled, but the doors don’t line up very well. They are reassembled and the trim is crooked. The door hardware is not that great quality. The cedar smell is awesome and I ended up adding tongue and groove cedar shelves inside for stronger assembly. I also elevated off the ground to get the right height for my application using 4x4 and tongue & groove skirting.

Nice solid cedar shed for gardening equipment. Put it together in 6-8 hours. Needed another person for just 5 minutes a few times to hold the sides in place while assembling. Although the roof and sides are water tight it's very important to frame the doors tight to prevent rain from wicking in.

It is a well designed shed kit; a two person job. As others point it out, lay it out first and label all parts; only a few wood pieces were labeled. When piecing together, caulking is important - there were some serious gaps where bugs could get in. Our main issue was that the supplemental roof shingle pieces were poor quality (not matching the ones on the preassembled roof.

This storage shed kit is the real deal. Select grade of wood, quality hardware, and excellent detailed instructions. It may cost a little more than some of the other poor quality kits out there, but well worth it. A shout out to our Canadian neighbors for for this excellent product.

Overall well done. Nice that it is cedar. The feet are the weak point and my recommendation is not to use the feet and use concrete footing for a deck or bricks for a lower profile. The plans are generally clear but if you've never done one then the illustrations could be improved. The weakest illustrations are when attempting to show how the "gap" is at the corners of the walls and some of gaps for the trim boards. The front trim over the doors will come out curved if you are not careful,

We ordered this shed for curbside pick up at our local store. It arrived several days earlier than originally projected, pick up was easy. It comes in two boxes which are well packaged. There was no damage. If you don't have a second person to help put it together, you will definitely need clamps that are big enough to hold walls in place while you attach them with screws. It took two of us a total of about 8 hours to assemble and stain.

Nice looking result but extremely hard to assemble. The pieces need labels. All screw and nail holes should be pre-drilled. Parts should be more self-aligning. Fasteners should be better quality - I had to provide my own for a decent result.

The kit was much more complicated than we thought. It took my handyman and his crew of 4 all day to put this together. Then it took another day for it to be stained. Overall I am pleased with it. It looks good and feels sturdy.

Assembly took me about 7 hours over 2 days. Finished product looks great and sturdy. Better instructions on assembling the roof would help - that took me a fit to figure it out from the instructions, which were for the most part easy enough to understand. Some lumber parts are not labeled so be sure to have tape measure on the ready to make sure you're installing the right piece. Be ready to pre-drill starter holes for most of the assembly so that you don't end up splitting pieces.

We spent all day constructing the shed. I am particular about fitting pieces together correctly, measuring and making sure it looks and works correctly. In fact, I love putting things together. Many parts were not to spec and/or warped. It is together, but we would NOT recommend this item for the price or the quality. The directions and visuals were incomplete in some areas and redundant in others. It is over-priced.

It is a nice looking shed with the dimensions that fit perfectly my needs. The narrow width of 20" is all I could fit in my 4' wide side alley. After I put it together, it fits the exact purpose I bought it for. Good quality door hardware. However, putting it together was a 3-4 day project and I am quite handy and have all the tools needed. First, the wood is unprotected and if you want to keep it outside, like I do, you need two coats of wood finish. Second, the shed is not sturdy enough and the parts do not fit together good enough to use it as is. I needed to add my own screws, brackets, strips to re-enforce it. Finally, the disregard for the installation time and effort is clear: no pre-drilled holes, no pre-connected parts. The need to install six shingles to the roof was the pinnacle of the annoyance for me. All in all, it is a good shed, but too expensive for the amount of effort you need to put in to assemble it correctly. If I were to buy it again, I would not pay more than $300 for it.
