I really love the retro look of this "Beehive" blender. The shade of red is beautiful, too! Back in the day it would be referred to as "Candy Apple Red". At first I was afraid that just having 2 speeds would be an issue...it isn't at all! It's really quite powerful. It's 600 watts of ice-crushing power, too! It's great for making smoothies and shakes. It has a nice quality to it and the glass jar is substantial. It's one of those appliances that looks great sitting out on your counter :) It came nicely packaged, it's great quality, has a cool retro look and is quite powerful. What else does one need? I think you'll be glad you made the choice when considering this Oster Beehive blender. Enjoy!

Too noisy.

Results: As long as this blender's blades are in liquid it will continue to make progress blending whatever you put inside its solid glass jar. It may take up 4 minutes to blend everything together, but the consistency is very smooth and without surprise chunks of ice or pulp. I've feed my kids a pound of spinach that they thought was desert because I topped it with a cup of blueberries (for color) and orange juice (just enough to start to float the contents and for taste). They loved it and the results tasted great. User experience: This feels like a tool more than your typical counter-top appliance. The base is metal with quality rubber feet that prevent it from vibrating and bouncing around during operation. The glass jar has thick walls that add substantial heft to the blender. You feel like you could switch it on and walk away for a few minutes and it won't spew its contents out the top or vibrate off the counter. It's no louder or quieter than any blender I can remember using. I really like the solid metal toggle switch which gives a sense of durability and solidity to the whole experience.

Beautiful, powerful and well built, just what you need in a blender. Start with the color, it's a gorgeous red, jewel tone and underneath that beauty is an all metal beast. This blender is solid. I like to make enchilada sauce with dried chilies and spices and this blender reduced them to a blend ready consistency in no time at all, added the liquid and a few pulses later, perfect sauce. Best of all the glass jar was a breeze to clean and no staining like on my old, nasty, plastic jar blender.

Wow this blender is as tough as nails! Everything is heavy duty. Not a ton of features because that's what a lot of us want.: blend and do it forever. This has a 3 way switch: high speed, pulse and off. For what more could I ask? Some might think it's a bit pricey for the lack of multiple functions. I say I don't want to buy another one in my lifetime and I think this one will handle that. From the very thick glass to the tough as nails base. I can't picture what would fail. I have tried everything I usually do which I should mention does not include "smoothies" as that is not my thing although maybe I'll try one now that I have something that will handle the ice! Recommend....

I used to watch Happy Days when I was a kid and this blender reminds me of what they probably had on the show. The color is a rich red, the pitcher is real glass, and it comes apart for easy washing. The best part in my opinion is that there is "off", "pulse" and "on" from a toggle switch without a bunch of unnecessary settings. I suppose if you are a gourmet chef you might use more, but in my house we want to blend something or crush ice to make smoothies. This machine does that without frills. The kids think it is pretty loud but that is a good tradeoff to me for the quality and the lack of buttons I won't ever use.

Received the Beehive 2-speed blender with 6-cup glass jar in stainless a couple of days ago. We decided last night to try it out by making some milk shakes by following the instructions that was received with the blender, it worked great, made some good milk shakes on the first try using it. It is simple when you only two speeds on one switch. I would recommend this product.

What a super powerful blender. The Osterizer classic beehive blender is a very nice looking well made blender. The pulse switch speed works great for crushing ice. You can make smoothies, milk shakes and even the best margaritas you have ever made with this blender. The 6-cup glass jar makes lots of whatever you want to chop-up. I like to make salsa and pico with mine.

This Osterizer blender comes with low price tag and after a couple of months of use I am totally satisfied with it. I purchased this product not only for its low price of $45, compared with $450 for a Vitamix that would cost me about $150 just for parts, but also because it is in pretty red, and silver and the mixing container is in glass, not to mention that it fits perfectly under the kitchen cabinet. Ah, I forgot, we don't like or want any gadget or electronics in ugly black color in our home.

This blender replaced my older Oster blender. The latest model is a big improvement from my older one..Extremely pleased with it.

This replaces a much older similar blender. It has 2 speeds. It can be switched onto HIGH and stays running so long as the switch isn't returned to OFF. However, on LOW setting, the switch needs to be held in that position, otherwise it returns to OFF. There lots of times that I want a blender to stay on LOW while I do other things, and even when breaking an egg into the jar. I bake popovers frequently, and the batter should be mixed on LOW. Please give us that option.

This blender is the best thing to me . because it is so simple,yet so powerful and easy to clean . This fits to my life simplifying. Thanks Oster.

It's great, load it all the way to the top and nothing will stop it. Makes two 16 oz smoothies one for me and one for my wife, twice a day. It makes a lot of noise but really does the job. I did change the blades to the one with six blades, would recommend that it come that way. Have really enjoyed using it, easy to clean. A little soap and water in it and turn it on, done.

I've been using Oster products for years, their simple designs make culinary experiences perfect every time.

I have this blender for over 4 years and I USE IT! :) I make sea moss punch, fruit and vegetable juices and sell to my friends and I even started to supply a local restaurant it all started with my little Oster blender. Some of my juices have nuts and seeds and people like them in the juices but they also don't want to have to chew on them while drinking so that is where my little Oster comes in, Blends powerful and smooth just the way they like it. There was water damage to a wall in my apartment lately and the shelf that I stored it on fell and I lost the jar :( so here I am about to replace it with a bigger blender. I love my little Oster! I still keep the base because I hope to replace the jar

love this blender but I wish it just said oster on the front (like they used too) instead of the osterizer.

Love this model. I needed to be able to attach my mason jars for DIY laundry detergent, etc. plus to make my daughter's smoothies. Just wish I could get it in white.

I bought this blender several weeks ago and I love it. I had returned a Ninja which I did not care for and bought this one. It make wonderful blended drinks over the 4th of July and it is so easy to use and clean. A great product and we are happy.

I bought this blender five months ago and motor burn out on smoothie

The blender is well made and powerful....but be prepared as it is VERY noisy. I mean jet engine, counter top shaking noisy.
