I have used this blender for two weeks and really like it. Not only is it powerful, but it's easy to clean. I've made smoothies, dips, shakes, and sauces with no problem at all. Really like it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I opened the box to the oster blender I did like the overall appearance. The shiny silver was nice and matches some of my other appliances. I like the glass heavy duty blender bowl I just wish it was bigger. I used it make a smoothies using frozen and fresh fruit. I had to add a substantial anoint of liquid to make the fruit move. It did smell and act like it was burning up when it wasn't moving. I wish it had blades up the middle of the blender. I do like that you can put it in the dishwasher. The warranty is pretty good, and the name on the buttons is nice. My overall impression of the blender was just ok. I could take it or leave it. I did receive this blender as a sample to review.

The blender portion of this appliance worked well and completed the blending efficiently. The one complaint with both parts are they must be held together to keep items being made from flying out of the blender. The whole machine did not seem very stable. The food processor was okay. The biggest problem that o saw was that it requires all of the items to be cut to one inch before using the food processor. This seemed to defeat the purpose of the food processor and it made no sense to cut the food and not the go ahead and cut the food completely. This made the food processor not the best option and it seems a knife would be just as useful. The reviewed machine was a provided sample.

We recently tried out this blender around our house. Honestly, I'm not that big in to kitchen work, but my wife does occasionally make smoothies. When we got the blender the first thing I noticed was how nice the item looks. It's a very nice look, not cheap as I had somewhat expected. The blender works well and does the job you'd expect without problems. I feel there is enough power to handle heavier projects than smoothies, but we didn't give it a big workout. We did receive the blender as a sample to try out, but I would have no problem purchasing the item for our kitchen. The good job combined with the good look would make this a no brainer. To me, this is a more sensible option compared to some of the high end blenders on the market today.

I love how quickly it made the smoothie, and it was awesome. Later I used it to make a milkshake, and it was great as well. The texture was amazing!

It has a variety of speeds/settings for many different uses. The pitcher is very sturdy glass. My favorite feature is that it is two appliances in one, with the interchangeable chopper. I also like the easy clean feature for quick cleans between uses, but even a thorough cleaning is easy as all parts (except the base) are dishwasher safe. It is awesome for making smoothies in the morning for breakfast and I made salsa with the chopper and it came out great. The only complaint I have is that it is a little big for my cabinet, but it's not their fault I live in a cramped apartment. Overall 5 stars, it's a great appliance.

I used the blender portion for my morning smoothies and when I needed to pulverize some fruit to make homemade fruit leather. I live how sturdy the glass blender is. Plus it's sleek-looking and doesn't take up a ton of space. I also used the food processor portion, but was less impressed. The food processor is plastic and feels cheap compared to the blender portion. I tried to make a cream cheese based dip in it (which I can do in a normal food processor) but it couldn't handle it. My dip was left with lumps.

I recieved this blender and LOVE the features and especially love the food processor attachment. I wish I had this blender with my first child, as it would have saved me from buying a baby food maker. The only drawbacks I found are it is quite a bit louder than my previous blender and the buttons seem a little cheaper. But, with that said, it makes smoothies in no time without binding up. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this blender for about three weeks to a month and I really do not have any complaints. To start with, the blender is very attractive. I love the black and brushed nickel coloring and I keep it on my counter all the time. Second, I LOVE that it has a glass jar and not just cheap plastic like some other blenders do. The glass is thick and seems very sturdy and I just stick it in the dishwasher when I am done. I have blended and chopped various foods since receiving the blender. I have done tomatoes, onions, and avocados to make salsa and guacamole. Everything blended wonderfully. I have done all kinds of fruit, vegetables, and ice to make smoothies. My only tiny complaint is that sometimes small chunks of ice do not blend all the way. This does not happen every time and is a very minor complaint. I have even chopped some vegetables for soups. I love the stainless steel blades and that it has 16-speeds. This blender makes everything much easier. I would have no qualms about recommending this blender to anyone. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Out of the box, the blender looks great. The glass is heavy duty, the stainless steel look is great, and it comes with a food processor attachment. I like all of the named buttons for the different uses as it takes the guessing out of what level the blender should be on. The blender did a great job of getting consistent size ice for the smoothies that I made. I also wanted to make bread crumbs. Attaching the food processor attachment was easy. I tore up a couple slices of bread, and I pulsed the blender. Within seconds I had perfect bread crumbs. Clean up is a snap, fill the blender with water and couple drops of dish soap and hit the Easy Clean button. This blender may not have all of the bells and whistles of a high end blender, but it works great for the average household. (I received the blender as a sample for review)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This blender has everything I could need and it's has a permanent spot on my kitchen counter so I can use it daily. It's excellent for anything from food prep to smoothly making. Chops ice cubes up to a perfect margarita consistency. Only issue I had was when making a protein shake, the powder stuck to the sides of the pitcher and didn't completely blend into the drink. Otherwise I have had no issues! The glass jar is thick and great quality, however the food processor is thin and made of plastic and seems like it won't last long. Both of the containers are really easy to use and to clean. Oster should consider making the food processor glass or with thicker plastic. The blades slice through everything I have put in with ease. Overall, this product is a great and a wonderful value. I used the blender to make smoothies (which turned out thick and smooth) and pesto (which thoroughly chopped my ingredients.) I used the food processor to make homemade salsa. It did turn out a little soupy, but I might have processed it too long. This blender is very powerful and it can even chop ice. The stainless steel looks beautiful on my counter and the product is a great value. I received the product as a sample to review.

**DISCLAIMER** I was sent this product to test it out and give my honest opinion. I really wanted to like this blender. I was excited to see the that it was supposed to be higher performing than the run of the mill. I used to it to make a Strawberry Daquiri pie; blending melted frozen yogurt, thawed juice concentrate, and rum. It didnt want to mix even though there was about 70% liquid in the container. I had flashbacks to the old blender my parents had when I was growing up. I had to stop it every so often to mix it myself; in hopes that it would finally start working. I did more work than this blender did. The only redeeming quality of this blender is the food processer attachment. (Though for the price you might as well just buy a food processer.) I used it a couple times to make sauces, and to whip up some bananas to freeze into ice cream. It worked really great. Overall, I would pass on suggesting this. There are too many higher performing blenders on the market to be saddled with one that performs like a blender from the 80's.

This is a great blender for its category. I do wish it was a little quieter but it blends ice really well. It also chops fruits and vegetables very efficiently. It is easy to use, and I love the multiple attachments. I also like that it comes apart really easily which makes cleaning it a breeze. I gave it 4 stars overall because it is a very good appliance that I wish was a little more refined in terms of noise control. Overall great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used this blender daily for about a week now. When I first unpackaged the product, I thought it was sleek with a retro vibe. I was very pleased with the glass jar. All blender parts can be put in the dishwasher. However, the (separate) manual for the food processor is lacking and from what I gather, the food processor parts are hand wash only. The food processor jar is extremely thin, light weight clear plastic. I do not expect the food processor jar to hold up long term. It’s too bad that they didn’t use glass or a thicker plastic for the food processor attachment. When using the food processor, the handle keeps rotating. I find it odd that the handle does not lock into place. I’ve consulted the manual several times but I don’t see where this is addressed. Also, the base of the food processor twists on and off easily. I had to be very careful not to make a mess when picking it up from the blender so that the base wouldn’t become detached and create a mess. I wish that the base had a better locking mechanism. The “Off” button also doubles as a pulse button. There are two speed settings, low and high, which can be used in conjunction with 7 speed settings. The box states that there are 16 speed settings but they are counting “Off” as a speed and “Ice crush” twice. Really there are only 14 speed settings. The motor is surprisingly powerful. I had no problems crushing ice, dicing produce, or making hummus and smoothies. In conclusion, The Oster Precise Blend Blender Plus Food Chopper is a convenient, easy to use multifunction appliance. I like the prospect of the Food Processor attachment but I feel that it’s not durable enough to hold up long term and that there are several design flaws. However, the blender attachment and the motor should last for years to come. I received the Oster Precise Blend Blender Plus Food Chopper in exchange for my honest review.

This Oster blender doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some other models, but, at the end of the day, it's a very good value. The blender blade and glass jar look and feel like solid, high quality pieces, which makes it easy to overlook a slightly cheaper-looking base with buttons that are a little clumsy. Ultimately, the blender gets the job done, and at a very reasonable price. It's all the blender I could need. The unit cleans easily, and has become a welcome addition to my kitchen. I'm sure I'll use it often for fruit smoothies and protein shakes. (I received this product for free to try.)

It has surpassed my expectations in several ways. First, the engine is powerful enough to liquefy fruits and vegetables for my morning smoothies. Second, it actually chops ice, so I can enjoy crushed ice whenever I want. Third, customer service on this product is amazing. I can't say enough good things about this blender/food processor combo. The base is lightweight which is a plus, and after having purchased appliance at both ends of the spectrum, I have to say this is the best I've had thus far.

U have to play around with it just so it can blend. U shouldn't have to shake it! I'm returning this asap!

I bought this blender about 8 months ago and use it primarily to make protein shakes and smoothies. Other blenders I've had in the past would not blend thick fruit smoothies because the mixture would develop air pockets. I'd have to stop and shake the blender bottle to get the air out to continue. This model is great! Even with thick fruit smoothies and protein it blends them all (even the thick ones) without creating air pockets! It is obvious that Oster engineers have made some kind of changes that makes my smoothie making experience quicker and easier. Thank you!

We have an oster blender that was given to us as a wedding present nearly 50 years ago and the motor is still working like a champ. We replaced the jar years ago when the glass jar was accidentally broken, so we purchased this model just for the food processor attachment thinking that the quality would be similar. Big mistake. The food processor replacement lasted only 6 months before the drive spindle bound up and one of the plastic ears on the lid broke. In short, I would put it in the category of junk quality. When new, it does work as designed and does a fine job, but the way that the drive shaft is designed, it cannot remain clear of liquids and gradually stiffens up and becomes useless. On the good side, Oster stands behind the product and shipped me a new one. But I don't think that Oster will continue to do that after the 1 year warranty period. So the blender part is a great buy, but the food processor is a waste of money.

It is so noisy, it must exceed OSHA standards for safe operation ! The jar works well.

More features for the price, and used my store credit card!

I bought this 4 years ago I'm still working like nothing I use this every days I make my protein shakes I blend a lot of food ice you name it the only part I have to replace is the stainless steel blade strongly recommend this to everyone that looks for a real quality blender
