Solid,well-made. But....
The actual diameter of the tool is 7/8". I'll be able to use it for something,
but not for what I obtained it in order to do. Internet is great for finding
a tremendous variety of stuff, but it's too bad that vendors don't compile
all of the pertinent data accurately. Of course,if the product supplied by
a manufacturer comes to the vendor labeled misleadingly in a sealed
package, whose fault is it? Is there a convention re augers as there is
in the case of lumber dimensions, for instance, wherein a 2x4 is actually
smaller in both the dimensions of its cross section? It doesn't seem so.
But maybe each different manufacturer uses its own proprietary
convention? It's too bad that even tools are such (as are shoes) that
it really is best to see or measure them (try them on) in person.

Metric vs. U.S. Standard?
This is not a 3/4" bit. It's also just shy of the 19 mil posted on the packaging. I don't know if this is some sort of industry standard but 3/4" should measure out to 3/4". Returning the bit and buying elsewhere.

Great ship auger+++++++
Milwaukee has a great bit here. I drilled three 9/16" holes for 1/2" galvanized bolts in a 12" diameter treated southern yellow pine pile under my house in less than 2 minutes with my 1/2" heavy duty Makita right angle drill. You can't beat that.

Deep holes in walnut
This 18 inch augerbit performed as expected drilling end grain in walnut posts. It needed touch up sharpening to improve the factory sharpness. I am very happy with this drill using a Hole Hawg 350 RPM Drill motor.

Thought it was made in the U.S.A.
I was disappointed to find out in the fine print that it was made in china. Had I known that before hand I would not have made the purchase.

The Auger that keeps on going
The Auger bit was purchased to drill holes in a 1895 home that had timber installed for floor joust which a regular bit would not go thru. This bit went thru it like a hot knife thru butter.

Get's the job done...
Works as expected. Very little effort required when boring through 2x4 wall plates and 3/4" flooring. Chews through nails easily as well.

Awesome quality...
I purchased this drill bit to use with my hammer drill and it definitely does the trick. I drilled through a solid oak tree stump with relative ease and no issues whatsoever. I'm glad I went with the Milwaukee name brand as I'm certain this will last me for years to come.
Highly recommended for any serious wood drilling tasks!

Goes through CCA like butter.
This bit goes through a hard CCA pole like butter with impact driver. Far better than Greenlee.
