Great bit, sharp and cuts through without any worries

This bit performed very nicely. Held its sharpness for an extended period of time. Very happy with this product.

I used this auger bit today on a deck I'm building. I was drilling through three 2x12's and a 4x4 post to install 5/8" carriage bolts. It cut through like butter and expelled all the shavings as it progressed. I didn't hit any nails, so I can't comment on it's ability (as advertised) to deal with such, but it sure went through wet pressure treated lumber with ease. I got this drill to replace augers made by Bosch that I also purchased at Home Depot. A word of caution, the Bosch augers are so aggressive that they bore too deep too quickly and end up binding. In my case it caused the bit to stop and swung the body of the drill around nearly breaking my hand. I'm not a little guy and was using both handles on the 1/2 drill, still, I just couldn't stop it. The Bosch augers are dangerous and I threw both of mine in the trash. This Milwaukee auger worked like a dream.

Quality bit that worked very well even drilling through the end of landscape timbers. Very pleased with the performance.

Before I purchased these I used the Klein version. The Klein version would not drill out an entire 2000 square foot home. I have been using these and have managed to drill about 4500 square feet and the bit is still going strong.

I wound up returning this because it wasn’t what I needed, but the bit was exactly what I ordered. Didn’t use it, seemed to be very solidly built, the kind of thing you’d need for a heavy-duty-as-all-getout project.

This Bit was perfect for drilling holes in Railroad Ties, while replacing several rotted Ties in an existing Tie Wall. Prior to buying this bit, I burned up 2 spade bits. The higher cost of this bit is WELL worth the expense. It held up Great!!! I would definitely recommend this bit for any serious drilling.
