First impression of the tile is Stunning! The tiles themselves are gorgeous and any room you install them in would benefit from their addition. The color, design and texture are simply beautiful and when stepped on, they are soft and easy on bare feet! I'm only testing one box, and having a smaller selection to work with, I chose to tile a table top. The patterns on the tiles are designed to form a terrific scene of what appears to be water life, shells and plants. I decided to have fun with that and lay them in a manner that extended their pattern into something else and loved what happened. (See pictures). They are incredibly easy to work with and cut well. The coated surface cut smooth with very little, if any chipping. I used a Rigid R4021 7” wet tile cutter with a universal diamond tile blade. (Also purchased at Home Depot) Absolutely no trouble cutting through even at the widest cut distance. I also, and I don’t suggest it, dropped a tile off my work bench with almost no damage and no breakage! Tuff ones! There was no trouble cleaning the grout off the matte/textured finish. I did add a black colorant to the Dark Charcoal grout so the tiles themselves would be the lighter feature. The Dark Charcoal alone is almost an exact color match to the tiles. With a little planning, everyone from the novice beginner to the contracting pro should have no trouble getting astounding results with this product. I would love to see a floor or walls with them. What fun and how impressive they look! Excellent product and Strongly recommended!

The small format hexagonal tile is beautiful. The texture is just right and reflectivity allows the pattern to show very well. I am in the process of doing a inlay into old oak hardwood to create a flush hearth for our wood stove. While I am figuring out the pattern of how it will be cut into the floor in a modern irregular pattern, I am also having to consider the pattern. The surface should be easy to clean and will most definitely be another little touch in the room that speaks for itself.

You have to see this tile in person to fully appreciate how beautiful it is. Pictures just do not do it justice! I was very surprised when I opened the box and inspected this tile up close. It is very intricate with detail and character. Truly beautiful in a subtle but stylish way. Hexagon shape with three different textured designs for variety. Has a textured surface. It is a true black, with a medium sheen glaze, some of the photos have a grey sheen to them but black is hard to photograph. They are frost resistant. There are 25 tiles per case that measure 8 5/8 inches by 9 7/8 inches each, covering approximately 11.56 square feet. Rated for medium duty traffic or wall use. If you want something unique with depth of detail this tile delivers. Arrived in a durable thickly cushioned box and all tiles were intact.

This Gaudi Hex Porcelain floor / wall tile is absolutely stunning. As part of the Merola Tile line, this black tile is in a medium sheen. I opened the box immediately and laid some out to see the real, true beauty of this tile. So much detail in each and every piece. Inspired by a Spanish Architect the patterns are textured and embossed giving it a very natural touch and the black glaze provides great, uniform color thru and thru. Perfect for medium duty floor or wall install to add a superb look to any decor. True sizes are 8-5/8 in X 9-7/8 in. They fit so well together. Excited!

These are really high quality tiles with interesting patterns molded into their surfaces. Several tiles combine to complete the molded images. The molded surfaces are smooth and shallow enough that I don't expect dirt to collect in the contours. The back surfaces are textured with course lines to help them bind well with mortar. I rated them with four bars for ease of installation because their hexagonal shape will require every other tile to be cut for fitment along edges. On the other hand, the hexagonal shape will really add interest to the floor in any room. The tiles are rated for residential and commercial use, so their durability should be very good. I highly recommend this product.

Oh my gosh you all. This tile is beyond gorgeous. I used it on my floor to ceiling fireplace surround and it turned out great. I wanted something that had more interest than a plain tile but wanted it to be subtle. It isn't a shiny white but it does have a soft sheen that to me looks pearlescent. It's a grayish white and its heavy. My 55 square feet arrived with only one broken tile. I'm adding a photo of it next to my gray walls and bright white trim. It's just so pretty. A great deal for the price considering how nice the tile is. I'm thrilled with it.

The product is beautifully done unique, there is no arguing that. They arrived well packaged and every tile intact. However, a couple things to know: 1) each tile has two strips of wax on the top to protect from surface scratches. These strips are so labor intensive to remove. It took hours is scraping and using a heat gun to get the tiles ready for install. Even our professional tile guy said he’d never seen anything like it. And 2) the matte finish is not the same as the matte finish on the same flat hexagon tile by this company. So, in mixing the two, there is a variation in sheen as well as texture. It’s not the end of the world to us, but that may bother someone.

Too bad it appears this tile is discontinued. It is really beautiful. The on-line photos do not nearly do it justice. I bought it in white but the black also looks wonderful. I hope it will be made available again.

Our entire bathroom is beige. I wanted a "WOW" factor in that room and we put these above the shower stall rather than painting that wall space. It looks amazing! Everyone compliments it when they see it.

We installed a new kitchen with random glossy and matt finished black tile on our backsplash and were looking for a tile to install on our peninsula. This tile fit the bill perfectly being both glossy and matt black and really added to the overall look. Although it's black, the glossy finish of the tile makes it really stand out, beautiful tile.

This tile is very high quality, and ships in secure packaging. Pictures really doesn't do the tile justice!

We had used these tiles in our guest bathroom. When laid out correctly, the tiles create beautiful swirl, octopus and flower designs. It is gorgeous! Great quality and stunning results.
