I finally had to replace my 19 year old Roper washing machine because it was leaking. I also had a Roper dryer, but my wife was able to procure a like new Maytag XL dryer, a few months earlier. So when the washer died, I decided to get a matching unit to complement the dryer. According to my wife, the machine is super. After reading the other reviews, You either love or hate this washer, fortunately my wife loves it !!! And as everyone knows, "a happy wife means a happy life !!!"

So far so good, washer is very user friendly and quiet running.

Great machine but as stated when purchased, if your clothes get "really dirty" then this machine may not be right for you - not much of a agitator.It also is so automatic that it takes longer to run a cycle than the old Maytag we replaced. This one is much more efficient so I can overlook the time it takes.

So far washer works as predicted. With no agitator it was hard to get used to.

I went in looking for a washer and Dryer and only expected to spend right at $600. While looking around I decided to spend a little more than that, but it was well worth it. This washer has many settings and times for each of them, so you know exactly how long you have before transferring. This is a must have washer. However if you buy the washer you need to get the dryer as well.

This washer is truly state of the art. It took a little getting used to, no agitator etc., but everyone in the house is thrilled with it. It is cutting down on water consumption which helps to drastically reduce drying time. The auto load size feature is great, less loads per day. Love it.

Love this washer. Don't have to arrange clothes around an agitator to make sure it is balanced. Love to just throw clothes in the middle. Large enough to wash my comforters also. Has nice features, is quiet and works wonderful!

It's been quite a long time since we've purchased a washing machine and I gotta say, this was a great addition to our family. Works wonderfully and very economical, too. Gotta love it!

I had a whirlpool that was only 5 years old and i know that they make Maytag, but this washer is really awesome and is alot quieter than my other one, i'm glad that I made the purchase....

We bought this washer about a month ago. Every one loves to use it. Awesome job regardless of load size. Because of the washers "max extract" feature drying times have been cut drastically, about 30 minutes on average. This is by far the best washer we have ever owned. Thanks.

I have been using this for one month. Overall i am pleased. I like the selection features (multiple temps, multiple spin speeds, etc) It does take a long time to wash (average about 1 hour per load) but it takes a less time to dry (better spin speeds) It makes some strange spin noises but it is not too loud. I am not sure it is as clean as my previous agitator machine.

I've probably washed about 10 loads of laundry since the delivery of washer. At least 5 of the loads, I had to stop the washer and move clothes around because of a "Unbalanced Load" error message. What I've learned is that you can't wash more than 4 towels at a time or any one plush blanket at a time. I am very dissatisfied with this washer to say the least!

After 3 years of use the washer began howling link a jet engine. Bearing needs to be replaced after three years. Seems like reliabilty is a missing feature. Normal use for three years and having a bearing go out, costing have the price of the entire washer, is poor quality. Last just long enough to meet all warranties. this machine will keep the maytag repair man busy, so much for the old maytag repair man is bored commercial

After three weeks, throughout the Christmas holidays, without a washer I was overjoyed to have this washer finally delivered, and it has been delivering ever since. The large capacity has made my washing tasks more efficient and the end results are truly terrific. Following the directions for loading, use of HE detergent, and use of the different cycles have undoubtedly contributed to the great results.

Only thing bearing was loud for awhile then it just said sd other than that good machine

I was not to keen on the digital machines but there are not too many out there these days that are not. I love it so far. I enjoy doing laundry with this beautiful machine,

I love my Maytag Bravos!!!!! It is a wonderful washer. It has the capacity to wash blankets and sleeping bags. It has cleaned everything perfectly.

This washer is the best we have owned. Huge capacity and gets our clothes clean (two sports playing boys, one dancing girl, and two runner parents!) From mud soaked uniforms to delicate dance costumes on the gentle cycle. Best purchased we have made. Can't wait to get the matching dryer. Our Maytag dryer from 11 years ago is still going strong so the hubby says we can wait even though it was a pre kid purchase so the capicity is not as large as our washing machine:)

I really like my new year washer! It is quiet and does a great job. I also like the timer, so I can plan my chores.

Have had this washer long enough to have run the cleaning cycle. I have been pleased with the various pre-programed cycles. It has washed everything from delicates to bulky items. The heavy duty cycle gets my rags cleaner than they have been in years. And cycles can be modified to, for example, add an extra rinse or change the temperature of the water or have a different spin speed. It was unique to learn how to load as it is very different from my old top loader, but I have been able to wash 1-1/2 times as much laundry in a load and still have it come out clean. Only once there was a load that got off balance. I love the fact I don't have to worry about deciding how much water to use; the machine does that for me. So sometimes I wash a load of just a few things without guilt. The only drawback was I couldn't use my old powdered detergent in it. However the liquid detergent is very easy to use to spot stubborn stains before washing. It's a 21st century appliance.

I am so happy I chose this washing machine. I like simple to use equipment but with enough selection choices, and this machine fit the bill and then some! Very easy to use and works awesome. I love the maximum spin cycle, the clothes dry so much quicker. The only issue I do have is it is somewhat noisy, but mine is in the basement. This is something for people to consider if their machine is on the living level. I wish you could hear them when you are shopping for a new one!

We picked this washer to replace a front load Maytag we had for 15 years. Everything is okay except in the description in line Home Depot praised the stay quiet technology and how quiet the washer was. This machine moans and groans and makes terribly strange noises. Nif you want a quiet machine do not buy this one. Mother wise, it does it's job.

Bought my Maytag Bravo in 2011. I followed all the directions on how to use and maintain the machine. By the end of the first year, the washer began to rust around the liquid dispensers. By year 2, the entire machine was beginning to rust through. Unfortunately, rust isn't covered in the manufacturer's warranty. The machine is only 3 years old, and I now have to buy a new one. This is the 2nd Maytag I have had problems with. I will not by another Maytag!

It takes some "getting used to", but happy with it so far. My two favorite features are; large capacity and maximum water extraction. This has cut way down on my drying time, not to mention reduced the number of wash loads by half!

Bought this machine to replace an LG front load that never really worked the way they advertised. Maytag has always had a good reputation and I am gradually changing all of our appliances to Maytag

I hate this machine. I have no control over anything. My clothes come out very wrinkled and some come out unclean. I need to stand on a step stool to get my clothes out of the machine. I am 5' 2" and I should be able to do this. Can't imagine how a child would be able to do their laundry. I don't have the option of choosing the extraction level to lessen the wrinkles so I have to do a normal wash on delicate and then the clothes don't come out clean. I can't wash a mat because it's light weight and only half of the mat gets wet and it comes out dirty. I have had to replace mats because I can't wash them. Very disappointing that I cannot have the water level I need. I just purchased this in the summer of 2014 and I am thinking of selling it and getting another machine.

I bought this washer 41/2 years ago along with the extended warranty. I bought a Maytag because of their reputation. I was very pleased with everything about this washer until six months after the warranty expired so did the washer when the tub bearings failed. This washer has been used for a retired couple so its not because it has been overworked. Followed the detergent recommended and also the cleaning. I am so disappointed in this Maytag product. I have checked into the repair and the cost approaches that of a new washer.

I continue to marvel at the clean laundry. My old "nameless" machine made so much noise even when I first bought it and my new Maytag has "new" noises but it goes very quietly about doing its job.
