Like to have the different settings. Not as noisy as what I have owned in the past. Use it all the time, keeps the trash under control.

We had issues with our GE compactor since day one. We finally decided to replace and could not be more please. Plus the Home Depot Delivery was excellent. Arrived on time, installed and removed the old one. Very professional and cleaned up after themselves.

I bought this compactor to replace an expensive solid stainless steel compactor that only lasted 3 years. The compactor door is very light, and with the black plastic pieces it is not as attractive as the much pricier compactors. I bought this for the value and the reputation of Whirlpool. It works great. And I love the air filter feature on this model. I would buy it again. Home Depot delivered this to my kitchen for no extra fee. I had to open the box and plug it in which was very easy, and a bargain compared to the department store's charge for delivery and installation.

First and only trash compactor I have ever used and I don't know how I got along without it. It works great. No fuss. No mess.

My Maytag compactor came with a user guide for a Kitchenaid compactor. Apparently, they are made by the same company. Worst of all, the compactor simply did not work! Home Depot has arranged for a new one to be delivered...which is great but the whole thing is very inconvenient. Doesn't the manufacturer exercise any quality control over its products?

I got this to replace an older 18" kitchenaid compactor. I miss the larger capacity as well as the space to store a few bags in the unit. The new machine does work without any problems and the foot pad to open is very convienient.

I'm very happy with this purchase. I've had the trash compactor for less than a week, but so far it's been all I hoped it would be. It's simple to operate and not nearly as noisy when running as others I've seen. I was honestly surprised by the amount of trash that could be compacted into one bag. I kept filling the bin, compacting it, and filling it again. What would normally fill three or four 33 gallon trash cans now fits into one with room to spare.

We love this trash compacter. It installed VERY easily and it works like a dream. It also has a charcoal filter that you can turn on and off to help with smells...though I cannot say that we have had any smells problems. It is easily open by the kick plate or by pulling it. Plus you can take the "key" out if you have nosy kids (and it is not a big production to take it out and put it back in.

We ordered this product on line, taking advantage of an online sale. The compactor was delivered to our door on the day we chose. Easy shopping! Our Maytag compactor is quiet and easy to use. Installation was easy as well. We used to have 2 huge cans of smelly, nasty garbage per week and now not even one can is filled. I think the environment is thanking us for this purchase, I highly recommend this compactor.

I really like the fact that you can do normal pack or solid pack - this is the feaure that we were looking for that not many other compactors have. The stainless does smudge easily - need to clean ouside of compactor often.
