The compactor came as advertised. It is much quieter than our previous 20 year old one. Nothing too exciting to say about a compactor except it does what it's designed to do and came quickly with no problems.

Purchased and installed for a customer. Delivered when and where promised. No complaints from customer. So far so good.

Great product. Replaced a similar 25 y/old machine. Much quieter than the old one.

this unit replaces a kitchnaide compactor that gave me 12 yrs of service the unit is actually almost identical to the old unit a bit loud more expensive than the units of a decade ago but this was reasonably priced in the current market only been in serviced for 1 month so can not comment on reliability

This compactor is so quiet my old one sounded like a train passing through my kitchen.

Only had the compactor a few days, but it is getting harder by the day to close. Something is binding. Hard to slide even when empty. Slides easily for a couple of inches and then starts binding well before it contacts the spring which helps it open. Guess I have to take things apart.

Have not had it that long - less than 6 months but so far, so good.

It works just the way we thought it would. There really isn't much more to say. We got it to match the other aplliances in the kitchen and it fits the niche perfectly.

This compactor is wonderful!! We knew we could not live without a compactor, since we had had one for so many years. This one is perfect! It's operation is quiet and efficient. Much nicer than the one we had before!

Slipped right into the existing spot in the cabinets. Easy to use.

Door needs to be a little studier. Overall, a great product.

Have had a few trash compactors, 2 Kenmores & GE Profile. This Maytag is so quiet, especially opening and closing it compared with the others. Only have had it for a couple of weeks so that's what I have noticed so far. Installed easily. Like the deodorizer feature.

We bought this item for a second home. I have only used it about 4-5 times so far, and it is a nice unit. It appears to be well built and solid.

THE TRASH COMPACTOR WE PURCHASED IS A MUST HAVE ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE OF US WHO LIVE IN THE COUNTRY. A WHOLE WEEK OF TRASH IS IN ONE BAG..FOR US GUYS SAVES TIME AND EFFORT. I THINK EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE ONE.

It works well and uses standard compactor bags from Costco. The odor contol seems to work.

We purchased this to replace a unit we had for 12 years. This unit fit perfectly into the space and was very easy to install. We have only had it a few weeks, but it works great so far. Controls are almost exactly the same as the unit we had, so we got it up and running very quickly. Seems to compact very well, as well as the unit it replaced. Looks very good.

Nice compactor at a fair price it has a good compaction ratio and is stylish It performs as advertised

Works great, looks great! Very pleased. I change the trash now about every 4 days and its still not heavy or leaking.

This is the third compacter we have owned , but the first Maytag and we are very happy with it. The other two were from a different manufactor, but this one is by far the best.

It is very earth friendly, in a sense that I do not have to change trash bags too frequently unlike when we did not have the compactor. Also, saves my husband trips to the trash bins

So far I am pretty impressed with this compactor, a little loud, but works good. I dont think it will last as long as the old ones that seem much more heavy duty. But it looks great and does the job!

Everything seems to work good, but it is the same as the whirlpool I bought 3 years ago, which should have lasted longer in my opinion. I was rather disappointed when it was delivered. It's hard to buy online when you cant see but a 2 inch picture. all in all, no complaints so far.

I recommend a compactor to any and all. I had one before and when I moved I had to have another. I did my research and this one had the best crush capacity of any that I could find. I have to pay per bag of trash at the transferstation so to get more into one bag saves money and trips. Who needs an open trash basket that can smell or have the dog tip over to get into, this is clean, practical and efficient. I can't be happier. Though when we got it it didn't work properly, the service was prompt and pleasant and was fixed in a matter of minutes, a plug had probably come loose in shipping. Works like a champ and I wouldn't have anything else.

Compactor does everything it promised and it looks great in the kitchen.

This is a good value for the features it offers. Very quiet and compacts very well. Easy to install, I did it in 5 minutes after it arrived, and the delivery service picked up my old trash compactor, which was installed in 1982 and on it's last leg and noisy. I hope this one will last as long. My only concern is when you over compact the trash, the side release mechanism for bag removal doesn't release easily, my wife calls me into the kitchen to open it.

This is the first trash compactor we have ever owned. So far it has performed excellently. The odor control works great as well.

I love my new trash compactor. It looks very stylish in the stainless steel and I love that now I only have to take out the garbage once a week, no more garbage bags that are overflowing. Love the ease of opening with the foot pedal, no hands on. Works great and is quiet. Just love it.

Purchased unit as replacement for broken 7 year old JennAir compactor. Maytag compactor was very easy to install and compacted trash as expected, The Solid Pack feature I believed to be a gimmick but when my wife and I started using the Solid Pack feature, we quickly found that we could fit much more refuse into a single bag, reducing the number of compactor take-out-the-garbage/rebag cycles by half or more. We found that the odor reduction feature is a little noisy and not really useful, so we turned it off using the front panel switch . Overall, a great value for a compactor at this price that looks great and works extremely well.
