After some research, We opted to NOT use crawl space vents.

Fit perfectly and easy to secure in place.

Yes, they are more expensive but they are worth it. I replaced all the foundation vents with these and noticed in the shady part of the house they were less open and in the direct sunlight, they were wide open, proving to me that they were indeed automatic. I mean really who has the time or remembers to open and close them! These do that for you. As far as installing them I broke out the old vent by chipping the bottom mortar away and breaking three sides but left the top bar as it was more difficult to remove and they fit with just a bit of room. My house is has a brick veneer with a block foundation, Screwed the four included set screws and they were done! Pulled and jerked on them to make sure they held well and they do! Couldn't be happier with the look. Wish they came in different colors but that's the only negative I have!

Bought to replace old broken vents these do not open when they are supposed to but thats not the problem if you live in a humid area they open in 90 plus degree with 100 percent humidity and cause your crawlspace to get wet and moist and could cause mold. Not any mold in my crawlspace fot 6 years installed these and mold appears after 6 months. Had to wipe down with bleach. These are junk and built really cheap. Made in China crap

Very easy to install. Took out the old one and screw in this new one.

I gave it just a good rating because of the screen is not metal. Pest can push it out the way and can right in under my house. I attached some metal screening to reinforce it. I wish I could find these in all metal.

I don't know yet if the open, close will work yet I just put them in. It wasn't easy getting them in because had to shave back bricks to do it. I hired a guy to do the job of installing them. They are good looking that is for sure. Improves the look of my house
