Quality trimmer with all the features you need. I like how the shaft is height adjustable and the cutting head rotates for edging. I purchased two hundred feet of the 1.65 mm (1/16”) nylon cord for about $8, so I should be trimming for years.

Over the years I've had 4 models of the same Black & Decker. This is my first Makita. I have other cordless tools of the Makita brand and love them. (Drill, saw, etc) Recently purchased Makita cordless Leaf Blower, Hedge Trimmer and String Trimmer.The string spool on the trimmer is too difficult to remove. Rewinding with new line is also very difficult and has only about half the capacity of line as the B&D.

I love this weedwacker! 1 battery does my whole yard. I have 5 batteries in stock. Makita tools all work on the same batteries and have great power. What else could you want. Fairly lightweight too.

I'm 74 years old and this tool was light weight enough for me to use and did the job very good.

It wasn't powerful enough. I'm used to a gas one, my bf loves the tools so we thought we would try outside tools. Wasn't happy brought it back.

Battery power is good line feed is just ok. Is ok for small jobs but not good at all for big jobs.

Not overly powerful but works well for around the house, fence, sidewalk, and mail box! I would definitely purchase again!

This trimmer really not strong enough when turned on edge. It really doesn’t clear out any dirt at the grass/concrete border like my gas edger would

I would like a little more power but I have a small yard so so far so good

Overall I am happy with this trimmer. One problem that I am having is getting the string to advance when I bump on the ground. It often 3 or 4 bumps before I can hear it advance.

Excellent piece of equipment.

Very disappointed with the performance of this product. Might be great for a little old lady trimming a little high grass. Doesn’t work for edging or taking down high grass or weeds. It is a single string weedeater that lacks the power to get the job done.

The string seems difficult to come out of the spool while using the machine , affection operation

Unit is excellent. The shoulder strap/harness is an excellent accessory and appreciated by a user with a sore back. The battery lasts a long time and the weight of the overall unit is perfect. I would recommend this unit for someone looking for the freedom from an extension cord and the absence of needing to mix gas and oil of a two cycle engine.
