I have now had this microwave oven for maybe a year or so. It is still working well and I like it, except that I wish it had a handle for opening the door instead of making you push that lower right button. However, it has one serious fault that does not affect the way it heats or cooks food. Within weeks of my buying it, the #1 button, which is for 1 minute of operation, began to look strange, and I found that a soft, thin plastic covering on that whole area (not just something put on to protect it, but an integral part of the oven) had apparently puffed up and then collapsed, leaving a sort of fold over just over the button. There may or may not be a teensy hole there, but obviously the plastic, with hardly any pressure put on it, has stretched so it doesn't fit over the button any more. It looks dirty and unpleasant. You would expect the surface of a touch button thing like this to be made of glass. Later, when I began to use the #2 button to heat my coffee, the same thing happened there in short order. None of the other buttons have been affected, but I rarely use them. My nails are always cut short and I press the buttons with the flesh of my fingers, anyway, so I can't see how I could have contributed to this problem. I have also not used any products to clean that area, only wiped lightly with a damp cloth. My old Magic Chef microwave, which I used for years, never had anything like this happen. I must have been putting up with the ugly fault in this new one for a year or so and hate to look at those buttons every time I use it. Finally got around to writing reviews today. I was very disappointed to have had this happen to a new appliance and will think twice before buying another Magic Chef!

This microwave has been a great value for the money. It works well and is easy to use - no confusing buttons to deal with. It's also very lightweight and easy to move around when needed. The size is not too bulky - fits great on the countertop with space to spare. Highly recommend!

Wanted a tat larger unit from our 0.7 cu ft . This 0.9 cu. ft. is just the right answer. Liked the design of the controls on our current model and these are not only as good but also a tat above the current controls as we have discovered through the limited time we have had the MC Microwave available to us. Only feature missing is a stainless steel interior but we don't believe there is a 0.9 microwave with a SS interior ???? And what does that feature cost and does it really add to the useful life of the microwave ???

The microwave was very easy to install in on my counter. Features are excellent and great..love it and wife is happy and for the price she's excited.

The price was right for the size but not right for the quality ( or lack of it) In less than two weeks the plastic cover around the buttons was scratched up out of no where. Altogether it was a waste of money. I'm going to have to buy another one and it hasn't been that long ( less than 2 months) since we bought that piece of junk.

This is a replacement for a 12 year old Magic Chef micro exactly like this one in stainless steel, but with a handle for the door. This new one has the handle removed, replace by a push button to open the door, and we have no problem with it because I put about a one foot 2 x 4 behind the micro between the micro and the counter back-splash so you have no problem opening the door and not moving the micro when you push the door open button... see photo. This new one works just like the old one (reliable) and has some new option buttons like 'Popcorn' and 'Memory'. We like this one just as much as the old one. This one heats up and cooks fast, and we hope just as reliable as the old one. New owners should read the manual to learn how to use the 'Power' button and how to input specific timed cooking, it's easy. Love it.

I recently purchased this 900 watt microwave. Before I used it, I was concerned that the watts would not cook as fast as my previous 1000 watt microwave. I found that the microwave cooked just as fast and did a better job with foods, cooking them more evenly than my previous one. The stainless finish is easy to clean and looks good next to my toaster oven. There is a turntable inside and many settings for foods I cook or defrost often. It is easy to use.

This is a good microwave for small house use, small inside but enough for heating lunch and defrost meat.

I was looking for a very small stainless steel microwave for an affordable price, nothing fancy, just something to heat up my leftovers and popcorn from time to time. This microwave has met my expectations. Pros: stainless steel (looks nice, especially for the price), works well, compact size, basic buttons/features, simple, the start button is also a +30 second button. Bonus points for fitting perfectly under my toaster oven. Cons: Doesn't stop beeping when you open the door, the button to open the door sticks a little and is also louder to open and close than most microwaves I've used (I have a newborn, so I may be more sensitive to loud noises than most).

I really like this microwave oven. It pretty much is as described in the ad. My only complaint is with the button for opening the door. It is very hard to use, and not good for arthritic hands. Like the speed and efficiency this product provides.

I bought this microwave as a Mother's Day gift.. my 83 yr old mom has a tiny kitchen & this fit perfectly! It's also very easy to use, another big plus. She loves it.

Ok, just wish that is was a little bit bigger and had had different method of opening the door than the '' push in '' depress one.

Pluses: The microwave works and was cheap. Minuses: I don't like that you have to hold the microwave to open the door because the button to open the door pushes so hard that the microwave slides on the counter unless you hold it.

very nice lookin and love the presets. The black buttons are hard to read. Would like to know how to enter time myself without using presets or loosing them.

The button to open the door broke after one use. I have a feeling that the floor model from the store closest to me was the one that was boxed up and shipped to me when I ordered it online. I'm sure it is an okay product, just very disappointed.

Microwave was dented when I opened up the box. Returned back to store without trying it.

This lurch was to replace the same item which had worn out.

Very slow to heat up. Hard to open door

Fast and easy to learn how to heat up food plates and to set up the time .

Operating isn't as intuitive as I would have liked. Plenty of one touch keys. Very light weight which was good for carrying to the car and in the house, but isn't heavy enough so it moves when pressing the door open button. I had a kitchen timer running for something in the oven and started something to cook and it seems that cancels the timer, which was a surprise.

Bought for new kitchen and decided to open and use before kitchen was ready. Used one time for popcorn and after 3 min it started to make a rattling noise while running. Removed disc inside to no avail. It's going BACK. very loud, not normal. Will write a review on next model.
