One heavy door. I work alone so it was a bit of a task to set. If given two people, as per instructions, handling and install would be a breeze. Nicely crated from the factory for easy upright transport on a pickup. You also get the free bonus of southern yellow pine material after uncrating. Install was simple, straightforward and uneventful. Yes, there was a bit of silicone sealant on the glass and interior composit door frame from the factory but i knew this going in to this project and actually expected much worse. Cleanup took maybe 15 minutes tops. A new utility blade lubricated liberally with mineral spirits and very light scraping did the trick. This door is by far superior in quality to any door in this price range. Only reason i didn't go with 5 stars is because it is a bit hard to slide even after adjusting. I think this may loosen with use. If so i will revise my rating.

The non-window friendly stickers couldn’t be removed at all without scratching the glass. How ridiculous to put those on there and ruin our slider.

Value is good. ordered 2 right handed and 1 left handed (they sent the opposite for each) 1 had glue on window all 3 have issues with the locks (none work the same) Solid frame and keeps leaks out

You've got to be kidding me. I buy a 6' sliding door and the max opening you can get is 27" wide!!!!! This has got to be the worst sliding door design ever. The handle on the outside prevents it from opening wider once you remove the block guard so yeah... won't be buying another one of these anytime soon. You have to turn chairs sideways to get in an out of it. You would only find this out if the floor model actually opened instead of just mounted on the shelf at Home Depot.

At first blush, nice looking door. Slides easily. The contractor did a messy job installing it, but that does not effect function of door. Installed just under two years ago and now the locking mechanism no longer latches. Ever have a nightmare where the "Bad Guy" is going to get you and you run into shelter and lock the door but it doesn't lock? Yeah, that; except no bad guy, just my imagination (which is worse!). Called H.D. to see if warranty on locking mechanism.

Chose this door due to availability. Professionally installed with no hiccups. Slides nice. Now for the issues. This is just sloppy craftsmanship if you can even call it that. We had to caulk various parts of the door because of the gaps in it. There is gunk in multiple spots on the glass from sloppy work. Some I could scrap with my finger nail. Others I have no clue how I’m getting it off. I feel like I’m going to snap the lock right off for how far and hard we have to twist it to engage.

This is a great quality door and is so beautiful installed. I am extremely happy with my purchase and would highly recommend it.

Although they appear very well constructed, the internal sides of the glass are filthy and not able to be cleaned. I initially assumed all that mess was on the outside (which it was also), but after framing and mounting, I cleaned them and am so disappointed with what I was left with. CAUTION NOTE TO OTHERS; Take some cleaner and paper towels to yours before accepting them. I'm seriously considering returning them. It will be such a massive removal effort (caulked, sealed, 2-1/2" mount screws into 2x6's). Very, very disappointing. Unacceptable.

Excellent door for the money. This door is amazing at blocking out sound. Everything worked as it should. Required an additional person for installation, relatively simple for DIY.

Beautiful well built door. We did have to call support on how to remove the key from the pre-installed door handle lock. But it was easy enough.

There's silicone everywhere all over the glass, door frame, in the tract that opens and shuts the blinds. In places it shouldn't be! I cleaned with special tools and Goof Off and it still took hours. Lame!

But home depot just dropped it off this morning.. look at the glob of glue used to seal the window .. its sooo awful that i woulf take it back but contractor is coming tommorow to install...awful awful Quality assurance.

We love this door. The satin-nickel handle with keyed lock and an auxiliary flush bolt are nice. The blinds are great to have on our south facing door to control how much sun comes in and for privacy. The door glides smoothly. No complaints!

I love the way this door brings in more natural light. It has a good lock so my kids can't just open the door and run out. Just wish it came with a screen door, that would have been nice. But, I like this door

This is a great door. It fit the opening as it should. The one I purchased has a wood grain on the interior and white on the outside. Of course it has a key lock but it also has a security lock when used is like a dead bolt that prevents the door from being pryed open.

The door came with silicone ALL over the door. Finger prints with silicone, it took hours to fully wipe it all off. It also came with no screw hole plugs, or a screen door (not sure if it should but seems it should). For over a thousand dollar door. I expected better quality in the finish. Those issues aside, the door is solid, the lock is easy to adjust, (has a second lock on the other side of the door as well). The blinds between the glass work great and look great.

Door was out of square, warpped, corners not sealed, silicone sealant on the glass. For the price I excepted a lot more.

The door looks great. If anything is wrong, don’t expect MP to help you. Mine was missing the lock keeper and had notches on two sides of one door. They will not fix it, instead told me to cut the notches out with a razor blade.

Pros: nice solid door glides easy. Cons. Lot's of silicone mess on glass door lock is hard to lock.

Has not been installed for long but, so far, it seems to be a good quality, substantial door system. Door slides well, hardware is of good quality and looks nice. The locks align and function easily. This replaced a swinging door and I'm very happy with it. Image is before peeling off protective plastic and stickers from the window.

I am an experienced DIY handyman who - with help - has just installed this door. I am not happy with the installation process and operation of it. Here are several of the issues I've experienced. 1. The instructions that came with the door are inadequate and at times incorrect. (a) They do not indicate which side of the nailing fin faces inwards - you have to navigate to the MPdoors website and watch the video (which doesn't seem to be on youtube or HD's website) to find this out. (b) the instructions indicate that two drill bits are required for assembly: 13/32 and 1/8. These bits are never again mentioned throughout the entire process. (c) In step 11 you are told to remove the active panel (door). This is never explained and does not seem to accomplish anything - you simply reinstall the door a couple steps later. (d) THERE IS NO TROUBLESHOOTING SECTION!! Either in the instructions or even on MP's website. This is dumbfounding. The internal blind mechanism in my door doesn't work right (the blinds hang crooked) and there's absolutely no information on how to address this. Other brands have youtube videos discussing blind problems, but (apparently) not Masterpiece. 2. the nailing fins do not seat properly inside the groove on the door frame. They only fit properly on one side, on the other two we could not push the fin into the groove (they were too shallow), and had to cut one of the fins in several places around screws that were blocking the groove. 3. As mentioned, the blind inside the active door of my unit do not raise and lower evenly. They're very crooked. I tried various procedures suggested by OTHER firms (hello MPDoors - are you listening?) but to no avail. 4. When the blinds are fully lowered, there is an uneven place near the bottom that shows a very noticeable crack on one side. I'm attaching two pictures showing the issues with my door.

Great product I thought the inside wood would come painted white like the outside it must have been a oversight on my end door are awesome work great couldn’t be happier with the finish product

We are very well pleased with this door. Its composite material really enhances the quality of it even more as it will not rot or rust like wood or metal. The installation was pretty easy for the most part and we did not experience any problems. It also handles and functions with ease. The best feature is that it is very well insulated which makes it more energy efficient. Once it was installed, I decided to accentuate it even more by adding a Jacobean stained wood frame around it and the finished product looks absolutely stunning! Everytime we passed by our nook area, we just can’t stop gazing at it! I would highly reccomend this door. Please my attached photo. Hope this review is helpful.

Nice solid door.. beware when ordering 60" with blinds door doesn't open full.. because of blind controls.. company needs new design for smaller doors! IF I HAD KNOW I would have went with 72" door...

This door was easy to install. We purchased the door with blinds in the glass which we love but the blinds get stuck sometimes on one side going up or down. You have to raise and lower a few times to straighten out the blind. Also we removed the rubber bumper up in the top inside corner bc first of all it looks like a temporary piece and secondly it prevented door from opening all the way. But then when we would open door, it would hit the magnet clasps that raise and lower the blinds. So we called Masterpiece and they said the bumper should stay!! But the door won’t open all the way so you are shorting yourself door width. Seems like bad design.

I loved the idea of not having a curtain or other blind taking up space around my patio doors, HOWEVER, and this is a BIG one, they blinds do not work properly, and have not since they were installed, for the most part. I bought 2 door units for a corner area, one left opening and one right. They were installed by an experienced contractor, who I have used before for other door replacements. From the beginning, they have not closed properly, except maybe 1 or 2 evenings. Some nights, they are as much as 12" off on one side! I have not been able to find any online help to tell me how to fix this? I have contacted Masterpiece to see what they say, but I don't expect any solution. If you are going to buy a door with a blind, it's probably worth it to buy a higher end product; I wish I had.

The previous owner installed pella gliding doors. Turns out the glass is not replaceable. And they don’t seem to be able to sell me a replacement door. That fits. So I have to replace the whole unit for 4000 dollars.

I installed two of these doors over the weekend. Overall, I'm very happy with the look and quality. There are some sloppy imperfections that are worth mentioning. A few of the miter joints are poorly assembled causing small gaps in the frame. Also one of the assembly screws was poorly drilled causing a noticeable blemish on the frame. Both doors slide easily and feel sturdy.
