The product was as advertised and delivered on time.

This tool is a time and aggravation saver when it comes to removing and installing Moen cartridges

I had to wait a week for this five dollar item to arrive and it's trash it fell apart

Must have tool if you need to do any work on sinks faucets. I oder this tool first before stared the work. It made it so easy. MOEN should give this tool when they sell the faucet if you ask me because you cannot do anything without it ( add few dollars extra) thus way everyone has it when they needed. I beat lot of people don't even know about this tool and they struggle when it's time to change the cartridge.

This made the installation of the retaining ring so much easier. You can do it with needle nose but the plastic will be damaged.

Still cannot get the cartridge nut out of the whole. Never get Moen where hard water is your water source. We have to burn it out.

Glad I had it, wish I could have bought it at a local Home Depot.

Haven’t used it yet, wanted to have it in case I need it.

I can't imagine how to get the cartridge out without this removal tool. It was fast and easy and well worth the modest price for saving time and aggravation. I replaced both cartridges even though only one had a drip leak.

Useful tool to unscrew the retaining ring on the Moen 1248 cartridges used in my built-in whirlpool tub. The retaining ring, when seated, is at least an inch deep inside the valve body, making removal with common hand tools like needle-nose difficult. The tool is equally useful in reinstalling the retaining ring as the thread pitch is very fine so many revolutions are required. An unexpected use of the tool, at least for me (who reads instructions?), was to reseat the Moen cartridge itself. Despite liberal use of white vinegar, shop towels, and a toothbrush, the cartridge body was still a tight fit requiring significant downward pressure to drive the replacement cartridge all the way down. Pushing on the valve stem might seem like a good idea until you break it but reversing the tool and using the smooth end to apply force evenly around the cartridge body is the way to go. Pro tip - measure the depth that the original cartridge sits down in the value body BEFORE removing it. The replacement needs to go back in just as deep or the value will leak around the body and not pass the full volume of water to the spout. A micrometer depth gauge is perfect but a witness mark on a toothpick is still better than nothing. See any number of YouTube videos before you do it yourself. The are especially helpful if the old cartridge proves difficult to extract.

This is a “must have” tool to replace a faucet cartridge. It makes removing the retaining nut very easy. Just wish it was available in the store.

Good tool but would even better if it had two holes to insert a screwdriver to use as a turn handle. Had to use pressure pliers to loosen cartridge.

This should have handle. so we can apply proper force to remove stuck plastic nut. I tried it and it damage the nut gage and now that part is stuck in faucet.
