Several years ago I installed exactly same looking Lutron Togglers in other two bedrooms in my house. They work without any problems. Specifically, their dimming function works without a problem with all different type of lights including the LED lights. Based on my experience with the previous Togglers, I ordered an additional Lutron Toggler for the third bedroom, even though its product description indicated that it will not work with LED lights. First of all, the Toggler's 3-Speed Fan Control works perfectly. However, the dimmer control has some issues with it. For example, if we push the dimmer slider up to the brightest point (or any point between max and min brightness) and then turn the lights off, it does turn the light off as it should. And then, after some time later when we turn the light switch back to on position, the lights should come back on at their brightest level since the dimmer slider is still where it was left its most up position. But, this time the lights are almost all dark, except maybe if the room some what dark, then one can see very slight glow. At this time, in order to have the lights working again, first we turn the light switch to off position, then move the dimmer slider all the way down to the most dim setting, then we turn the light switch to on position, then we move the dimmer slider up and adjust the lights brightness at a level we desire. So, this is the exercise we have to do in order to use the dimmer control of the Lutron Toggler. By the way, the Model Numbers of old Togglers and the new Toggler are the same, except the new Toggler, I believe, has a letter addition at the end of its Model Number. I would not recommend this product for the simple reason that it is not working "properly" with the LED lights. At the price point this product will help lots of customers since we all are switching to LED type lights for saving energy. Lutron is a good company and they have the technical know-how to come up with a solution to this minor problem. Otherwise, there are more sophisticated products available at two to three times the money for the Toggler, but those products will be over kill for certain customers.

Scrolling through the reviews, I noticed some where people reported that this did not work for them. The problem is most likely that they only have one hot wire from the switch box to the fan. In order for this to work as intended, you need 2 hot wires from the switch box to the fan (one for the black wire on fan, one for the blue wire on the fan for the light kit). If installing the wiring new, be sure to use a 3 wire NM cable (Romex) with black, red, white and ground to your fan box so that your fan and fan light can be independently controlled.

It was a replacement only because the small adjustment tab on the left broke off. Otherwise, there was nothing wrong with the existing switch. A weak link in the design. The new one was an easy direct replacement.

The product is shown with a matching switch plate. However, a matching switch plate is an additional purchase; leaving one at the mercy of what types/styles/colors of switch plates your local Home Depot has in stock. Good luck.

Switch was just what we wanted.

For anyone who likes the look of a standard switch and the functionality of having variable fan controls and a light dimmer in one gang, this product is perfect. The directions make it easy to install, just keep in mind the "guts" behind the switch take up a lot of room in the gang box.

This switch worked perfect for my patio fan light. I only had one space for both.

This light switch/fan controller is an exact replacement for one I had installed back in the mid '90s, which the switch itself had begun to fail, sometimes not turning the lights off after turning them on. That is not bad for at least 20 years of faithful service in the master bedroom. I like the traditional style of the toggle switch, which blends in with the other switches in the house. The left slider is a 4 position ceiling fan switch, starting with Off at the bottom, and then Low, Medium and High going up. The toggle switch is a typical on/off switch which works with the left slider, which is a progressive light dimmer, with Low at the bottom and High at the top. I would have rated this switch all 5s if it had lasted with no problems for at least 30 years, but I'm happy with at least the 20 years of faithful service it has given me.
