I have these in multiple rooms and passageways throughout my house. I had my handyman install these - and he said they were not too difficult to install. These were both new construction and retrofit. I have a somewhat sophisticated lighting control system that is a bit picky about what type of lights are connected to it (Lutron Radio Ra). Here are my two observations: 1. Only problem I have had is when wanted to set the default on level to 20 or 35% since these consume only 4watts each and my switches cannot go below 5W. They worked but my switch would freeze up a couple of times a week. The smallest implementation is 2 lights - so setting the default minimum to 63% (5W/(2x4W)) solved the problem. 2. Ligths are BRIGHT WHITE. I solve my problem using dimmers and after a little getting used to they are just fine. I typically have them set at between 45-75% depending on location. Overall - highly recommended - I calculated that with all my lights on - I am now saving over 1.5KW and should have much longer lasting bulbs (30K hours!).

These Gimbaled LED lights were easy to install and look beautiful. Brushed Nickel is high quality and adds a great look to any room.

The lighting fixture was very easy to install, I used sevral as I was remodeling two rest rooms for our corpeate headquater office. The instaltion instructions were right to the point. It tuck all the guess work out. The units were well made and easy to wire in. The swivel head added a nice tuch making them versital.

I bought 13 of these lights and 1 was damaged so I had to come back to home depot and exchange it, but everything else was perfect, lights are beautiful and give me the light I need it for my living and dining room. if you plan to install them make sure the size of the room and the quantity of lights I installed 5 of them in the dining room 12'x12' and 8 in the living room 12' x 20'

These were easy to install; look great; really like the directional aspect. They are small but produce strong light. I am ordered a bunch more. Originally I had them installed with an ELV Lutron dimmer switch; they flickered; electrician tried a regular dimmer switch (for an incandescent bulb) and they no longer flicker... Good news because that switch is much cheaper.

Love the unit and it was easy to install but the light produced was too bright and white for my use. It just did not feel right in the home. Unfortunately I had return it for the same kind of fixture but with a halogen bulb.

installing these security lights was the smartest thing we've ever done!

I rate them about a "4.5" because of two minor issues: In my opinion LED's are still more expensive than they should be, and also the main housing mounting/retainer clips seem to me to be a little weak. Otherwise, they were easy to install, and look GREAT!! We really like the "color temperature" of these LED's, -they very closely match a "soft warm" incandescent bulb. We use them with the approved dimmer, which allows them to be set anywhere from super bright, all the way down to night light level. Also the very low power consumption, and very low heat is EXCELLENT !! I will never use halogen bulbs again. These LED's are the RIGHT choice.

Three of these lights were installed over my kitchen sink, and for the first time in almost 40 years (didn't need them when I was younger), I can see really well. Three seemed to be the perfect number. They are bright enough to give plenty of light and small enough to be unobtrusive. They're excellent. If you need light over your sink -- like I did -- then get these. You'll love them, too.

When we were thinking of recessed lights for our brand new kitchen, I was thinking small, Led, and directional....these are perfect! We also added a dimmer switch,,,,,,perfect for late night snacking when your not ready for full blown lighting! ;) I highly recommend these lights!

The lights look pretty good when in and are very bright and dimmable. However the mounting mechanism leaves a slight space between the lamp and the ceiling and if you have BX cable, they are terrible to install. These fixtures could be made so much better it's maddening! If you live in a place where you can use regular rubber coated wiring, then I'm sure these are much easier to install but if you live where you need BX, then avoid these lights!

I wish there would be lights available also in 4 or 5 inch with the same concept (housing included in the kit). The lights could put out a little more power. All in all a very good deal and easy to install (beside moving 2 feet of insulation in a 130 degree attic). First I drilled a small hole in the ceiling and used a wire to poke through the hole towards the attic in order to locate the lights far enough away from ceiling joists and ducts.

As an architect, I used these in my home because they have they same look and functionality of fixtures used in high-end hospitality and retail projects. I could not be more pleased with the end result. My only complaint is that the wiring box, once wired with flexible conduit, is nearly impossible to fit through the 3-1/8" hole in a retrofit installation. I HIGHLY recommend using Romex if code allows, in which case the installation would be quite easy. Nonetheless, I managed to get these installed and they are absolutely beautiful fixtures. They are dimmable with a compatible C-L type dimmer switch, and they dim down to a very low level, nearly off. A room of 6 of these only uses 24W of power when turned up full blast! And perfect light color temperature!

We remodeled our 50's home and started with 5 of these lights. Liked them so much bought 25 more for the rest of the house. This was replacing all original lights. Most of the lights we replaced showed signs of melting and charring. We are so grateful for our bright home and feel so much safer.

These lights are to available in store. I brought 16 for the living room and kitchen. Then brought another 20 for the bed rooms. Easy to install and look great. Only down side is, not as bright as stated. I should havs added a couple of more lights in each room, but it still looks great. Every body who come to visit comment on the lights and there sexy appeal. Only time will tell on the life span of the bulbs.

Easy to install, installion took me les tha hour to install 8 of those. I'm planning to install some more on my Living room

I bought & installed these LEDs a good month ago. They were cheap, they swivel, they look simple, they're small, they give nice light - I put seven of them on a dimmer: beautiful. They're easy to install in an existing ceiling (I never had done it before, took me half a day to cut, patch, install, another half a day to finish electrical), and they look very nice. Each light uses 3 Watt when at 100%, so together they use less than 1 bedside light. Yeah, these are nice lights. Highly recommended, very happy.
