Very helpful to storage laundry items and a lot of space in this drawers

I bought this pedestal for for my washer and dryer and it worked for a while. The drawer on the pedestal will not close fully because of a cheap plastic stop on the drawer guide rail that broke. I tried calling LG to buy the plastic drawer stop and they said that I have to buy the entire guide rail which is $56. They said to call Lg parts suppliers which I did and I was told the same thing. I could not buy just the plastic stop , but I would have to buy the entire rail. Why would they not sell just the plastic stop without without the rail. I would not buy this pedestal again since the guide rail parts are made so cheaply. If you buy this product you will have the same problem.

The plastic stop is poorly made and will be a problem in the future if you purchase this.

Contacted LG because we have an older washer and dryer. I asked if this pedestal product would fit WM2301H WASHER DLE2301 ELECTRIC DRYER LG was not sure and recommended contacting an authorized distributor of LG products. My washer dryer combo uses the discontinued pedestal WDP3. Doug at Home Depot in The Colony, TX said it would work and he was spot on. HD service technicians came out and installed the pedestals. The connecting screws and parts were included in the WDP4 and they worked perfectly. The reason we bought the pedestals is because my wife has had back surgery. These raise the front loaders to a better door access height with less bending. They seem light when you pick them up but they are very solid and support the units well. We put items that we use infrequently in the drawers so there is less bending for us. Only negative is price but we found scratched/dented and HD marked them down. Install crew was great. Fast and pleasant. Great job Home Depot!

These pedestals are great, they fit perfectly in the space provided and it is so delightful not to bend so low to load and unload the washer/dryer.

Very disappointed that a small bottle of Downey or a regular size bottle of bleach do not fit in the storage drawer. Now we have to find an alternative location away from the washer to store them.

I think this is a must have product for a front loader. Without this, you will be bending over to unload and when you need to drain the water, you will have very little room without the machine being elevated. This is the second time I purchased this item. The original one would have worked in the new washer, but the maintenance agreement would be void if I did not purchase the new one. In addition, the delivery company will not put a new washer on an older pedestal. I wish they would make these pedestals universal and allow a new machine to be placed on an existing pedestal.

Was a great match for our Front Loader made by LG. It makes getting loads in and out a breeze. The drawer is a great feature

These pedestals are a real back saver. I am average height and still have to bend over a little to reach into the washer and dryer. I could only imagine how difficult it is for a tall person to have to do this without the pedestal. Here are some specific points about the pedestal: 1. They raise the washer and dryer up so the person doing laundry can be more ergonomically correct which reduces strain on the back. 2. The extra storage space is nice to have below the washer instead of above where things can fall. 3. The wild cherry red paint matches perfectly with the washer and dryer. 4. They seem very sturdy and have no problem holding the weight of the washer and dryer. Things that could be better: 5. There are no locking mechanisms on these and with all of the nasty chemicals that look like candy (pods) I am surprised that they haven’t designed a lock for this. We solved this by putting a child lock on each one. 6. The extra height seems to make the washer just a little bit unstable and it seems to wobble a little more than without the pedestal. It could also be that my washer tub is slightly out of balance but it’s not bad enough to hurt anything. Just more of a minor annoyance. 7. The pedestal drawers are not tall enough to get a full size detergent bottle in them standing up. This is easily solved by laying them down. 8. They are pricey.

I purchased two of these pedestals and they fit my new LG Washer/Dryer nicely. Only one mistake i did was not to purchase these pedestals along with my washer/dryer. Believe me that it is little costly but worth for long-term. I unplugged and unhooked my washing machine and gas dryer, and Home Depot delivery crew installed these pedestals within 30 mins. Their service and effort was really good. The washer pedestals fit very nicely on top of GE low profile pan (33in x 30in). We raised the height of the pedestals by 1 inch and the drawer can be open very easily without any obstruction. These pedestals minimize the vibration transferring from the appliance to the floor. The storage cabinet is plus and the height of the pedestals is ideal.

I received this LG Pedestal with Storage Drawer along with my LG 7.4 cu.ft. Ultra Large Capacity TurboSteam® Electric Dryer about three months ago and I've really enjoyed using it. Once the pedestal is attached to the dryer, the entire thing looks space-aged! Very eye catching! Love the color of the finish and overall shape/design because it looks high-end. My pedestal and dryer were delivered and installed by HomeDepot services and I am very glad that I did not have to unpack, connect, and move this into position myself. The dryer must be carefully lifted onto this sidekick pedestal and positioned/connected in place, and once that is done it is a bit top heavy. It can easily be moved around using an appliance handtruck, but it really takes two people, one to tilt the appliance and one to get the handtruck in place. TIP: place the handtruck on one of the sides rather than front or back, and place a blanket or cardboard between the appliance and the handtruck to avoid scratches. The location of my washer/dryer is in the garage on top of a concrete ledge and they barely fit on the ledge... the front feet are quite close to the edge, because the dryer requires some space behind to accommodate the duct. Measure your space carefully to ensure it will fit front to back! Something to note... if your laundry closet has an integrated lip and drain or any type of obstruction in front of the dryer, you won't be able to open the pedestal drawer because it sits close to the ground, so before purchasing, confirm you will be able to freely open the pedestal drawer. This is a specialized product designed to fit with certain appliances, to attach securely to those appliances, to coordinate in design/color, and provide some elevation to those appliances if needed. The alternative is to build a custom cabinet with drawers for your W/D to sit upon, and I'm not convinced that option would be less expensive if you want it to look attractive and be well-made. For those reasons, I consider the price of this product to be reasonable. Now, on to the features of this pedestal. I really LOVE it. Because I have the Sidekick pedestal washer, having this storage drawer pedestal under my dryer means that both appliances sit at the same height. The drawer moves freely and easily in and out. I find this storage drawer spacious and convenient because it holds all of my laundry products. I bought a tub of laundry detergent pods and that fit, along with my powdered detergent, small bottle of bleach, liquid softener bottle, bottle of vinegar, box of dryer softener sheets, lingerie laundry bags, my iron, clorox wipes, and a roll of paper towels. There is a divider in the drawer that helps keep things tidy, but it is easily removable if you prefer. A possible drawback is that not all laundry detergent, softener, or bleach bottles will fit height-wise. However, you can easily get around this by purchasing a size you know will fit (even if it's not your brand) and using that dispenser / bottle to refill from a larger size that you store elsewhere on a shelf or in a cabinet. Or you can purchase dollar store shoe-box style containers to put your pods or powdered detergent into. A one-time investment of $5-$10 to get the right sized containers / bottles is worth it to have such a convenient space for everything you use to do your laundry. I highly recommend this LG Pedestal with Storage Drawer as a great addition to your laundry room because it is attractive, spacious, and convenient.

We got this pedestal as part of a new LG washer dryer set since we have the small LG 'Sidekick' washer under the washing machine and we wanted to make sure the washer and dryer were both the same height as they are sitting side by side. The pedestal is super easy to install with no assembly required and has a large storage bin which has plenty of space for storing boxes of laundry softener sheets, washing powder etc. It wasn't quite tall enough to store the small bottles of laundry detergent however, so these are still kept on top of the washing machine. We also found it helpful for keeping all the manuals and tools that came with the washer and dryer in one place so we can trouble shoot any problems that arise without having to hunt down the manual. To install it, you simply remove it from the shipping carton, position it where you want it and then make sure it is level by adjusting the feet with the included wrench. You will need a bubble level to complete this task. Once the pedestal is level, you simply lift the dryer (or washing machine) onto it which is a two person job. The feet in the bottom of the LG washer or dryer then locate in specially designed recesses in the top of the pedestal to prevent it slipping off from use/vibration etc.

This handy storage drawer/pedestal is a perfect pairing with the LG Dryer. It matches in color and dimensions, so it fits properly next to the paired LG Washing Machine. The deep bin allows for all your storage needs. I was able to put all my detergent and supplies inside of it, freeing up the clutter from my laundry room. It isn't heavy at all. You can easily sit the dryer on top and it looks as if the dryer is one complete piece.

This pedestal is a great option to keep your LG washer or dryer up off the floor and save your back from bending over. The extra storage drawer is a nice bonus feature too. It's tall enough that we can keep our powder detergent bottle in it, but probably doesn't have enough height for an economy bottle of detergent stored upright. The finish looks great, and it matches the main washer and dryer, as well as the LG Sidekick washer in the adjacent pedestal. You can barely tell them apart if it wasn't for the LED display tucked away into the Sidekick. The price seems a bit high though, for being a glorified sheet metal box. I think if I didn't have the matching Sidekick washer, I might have built custom cabinets for underneath the washer and dryer instead of buying two pedestals. Then again, I'm pretty handy and enjoy woodworking, so pedestals may be a better option for most people.

======First impressions:===== Looks like a beautiful perfect match for the new dryer and washer set. Appears to be stainless steel, but read further down. Easy installation (8 screws from side). ======Observations====== Installation: The pedestal installed easily because I didn't have to do it; the deliver folks did the installation to the dryer. I was able to witness that and saw it to be very easy and quick. They put the dryer on top of the pedestal and fastened 4 screws on each side to the mounts for both. They left the adjustable feet on the dryer to the shipped position (fully up). You use the feet levelers in this unit to level the dryer or washer. Operation: The drawer slides easily and does have a detent in the closed position that will keep it from accidentally sliding open. The divider is in the center front-to-back position and can be removed, but will not fit anywhere else. So your options are 1) divider in or 2) no divider. It's too bad it wasn't designed to be used in a variety of positions. The bin height is a bit less than most pedestals on the market, perhaps because of the tilt of the washer and dryer control panels that might put them too high for some users. Still, only an inch higher would allow the smaller detergent bottles to be stored upright. As it is, they would have to be stored horizontally or leaning upward on the divider. In those positions, the bottles may leak. I guess this may be too much to ask, because there are many sizes of detergent bottles, and you can not expect them all to fit any pedestal. A far as I can tell, there are no rattles or other noises coming from the pedestal when the dryer is in operation. Quality: At first glance, this looks like stainless steel, but it is not. The pedestal is made of ordinary steel and is painted/covered with a beautiful "stainless look" finish, just like the matching washer and dryer (which are also not stainless). This means that the "finish" can be scratched or eventually worn off. For this reason, I suggest not pushing the drawer closed with your foot, as many users have done. Try to get out of that habit or you will eventually cause the finish to deteriorate. Maintenance: Do NOT use any abrasive cleaners to clean this unit or the finish will be damaged by using harsh cleaners. Use only the recommended cleaners (soft soap and warm water). I have noticed on a similarly finished product that the paint wore off easily and could not be repaired except by a complete repaint. You may need to occasionally retrieve an object lost behind/under the bin or to clean the dust out; but the storage bin cannot be removed by using the procedure reported by the online LG representatives. It cannot be lifted at the front for removal as they suggest. That is not possible with these types of slides. The bin can only be removed by removal of two screws on each side near the front. It is an easy process if you can access any side that may be closest to a wall (like mine). But first,I suggest placing a pencil mark at the end of each of the black metal slides in order to make reassembly easier. =======Summary====== Absolutely beautiful appearance that perfectly matches the washer-dryer set. Simple installation except for the heavy lifting. Drawer slides easily and precisely. "Stainless-look" finish may be vulnerable to damage easily. Bin is not tall enough for upright storage of most size detergent bottles. A bit expensive, but so are most pedestals.

Nice pedestal that matches the dryer. There is not much to say besides the fact that having the pedestal puts the dryer at a good height, matching the washer. There is a divider in the drawer allowing some space saving / organization. We keep extra laundry items like fabric softener, dryer sheets and the like in the drawer. It saves space for other things to be stored above the washer and dryer. This pedestal completes the washer / dryer pedestal combo.

This pedestal is attractive and provides much needed storage under my LG dryer. I can easily fit everything I need for laundry in it - bleach, detergent, fabric softener, etc. However, I have discovered that some bottles are a little too tall to fit (at least without laying it over on its side), so you'll want to pay attention to that when purchasing if this is where you plan on storing them. In addition to the added storage, it's also a real back-saver - it's so much easier to remove clothes out of a front loader from the dyer at this height than from one not on a pedestal. You definitely can't go wrong by putting your new washer or dryer on this pedestal!

he easiest component of the LG washer/dryer set to review for obvious reasons. The pedestal is really only needed when you have the SideKick washer to level the main washer and dryer. I suppose you could have two pedestals if you really needed the storage, but that’s expensive storage IMO. Assuming that you do need this, I can recommend it without hesitation. It’s sturdy and as spacious as possible given the size. It opens and closes effortlessly, without binding or feeling like a cheap drawer. It’s made specially to accommodate mounting the dryer to for a safe and sturdy platform, with no vibration. There’s a divider that you can optionally use that splits the interior. It's sort of a soft close, as well. In the set I do wish the pedestal were under the washer, but of course, the SideKick is there! It’s just a little awkward having the washer supplies under the dryer. Gee, what a tough problem to have, right? Finally, capacity … there is a lot of space in this drawer, but height-wise, you’re limited. This isn’t a design problem. Think of how tall the dryer is on this pedestal and then think about adding even more height. With the washer would even worse because of the fill trays would be too high for many people. In the attached photo you can see that a large container (81 count) of pods easily fits inside the drawer, but I’m forced to work with shorter softener bottles. I suppose I could lay a larger one down. In conclusion, if you’re getting the whole set I think you’ll be quite pleased with this unit. I’m giving it five stars because I have no complaints or suggestions to improve it.

GENERAL First off, this series of LG machines is absolutely gorgeous. They are tall, shapely, and even though they take up lots of space due to their capacity, they make washing your laundry much easier than ever before. I've never owned a laundry setup that made use of these pedestals. The ability to move a load from the basket directly up into the washer, then over to the dryer with negligible bending, and finally back down into the basket is human ingenuity at its best. The ease and convenience of doing laundry with this kind of setup means that i won't ever go back to the old top-load waist-high setup ever again. FUNCTIONALITY The purpose of this pedestal is primarily to lift the washer/dryer off of the ground. My entire life, i've used washers & dryers that sit directly on the ground. The washers are top load, and the dryers were front load. In hindsight, the traditional process to do a load of laundry borders on insanity. With pedestals and front-load machines, the washer and dryer sitting closer to arm level, the amount of lifting and shifting is at an absolute minimum. This means more efficiency, and a saved back. Win. USE So not only do the pedestals increase the efficiency of laundry duties, they serve a very important second function: Storage. Finally, those unsightly massive bottles of detergent that currently live on top of your washing machine have a home, out of sight. This cleans up the entire laundry space and also reduces the potential mess. The pedestal comes with a removable center divider allowing you to section off halves for different purposes such as washer detergent / dryer sheets, etc. SUMMARY Color matched with the LG washer and dryer set, this pedestal set converts any laundry room into a marvelous technological gallery. The implementation of these pedestals greatly eases the laundry process, and reduce the amount of bending over. The large amount of storage added relieves existing space and allows a single location for all your washing/drying accessories.

These pedestals are pricey but well made, offer tons of storage and glide easily when opening/closing. They match the washer/dryer perfectly and offer the right height for loading/unloading clothes.

The locking clips on the washer and dryer made it easy to attach and now I have storage for all my clothes washing products and more! No more products stacked on top of the washer and dryer!

This is the first W/D that I have purchased with the pedestals and WOW what a difference in appearance. Although it doesn't fit the taller jugs of detergent it organizes and keeps other laundry goodies in a nice convenient place, lots of space! They also glide with ease and each come with a super sturdy divider. I am very please with this purchase, and would highly recommend, I purchased them in the red and BAM what a statement. Our laundry room is the first thing you see when you enter our home from the garage and it puts a smile on my face every time I come home. They are a bit expensive but worth the extra splurge in my opinion.

The only drawback is it needs to be deeper to accept large detergent bottles.

We bought this so it provides the height. The frame is made of steel. The drawer is PVC material. The finish and quality is good and provide a stylish look overall. The drawers slide smooth. CON: If the water leaks the entire drawer could be filled with water.I already experienced this. The retail price of this( for that matter any pedestal) is not justified.This is an unnecessary overhead had the manufacturers of washer and dryer spend some time in thoughtful design to provide the adjustable height.

These are definitely helpful to elevate your washer and dryer so you don't have to bend your back when washing your clothes. But would only buy them if they are on sale as the regular price is too outrageous!

Good quality pedestal, it matches the appliances and works as it was designed.

When we unstacked our LG washer and dryer, we needed two pedestals to raise them to a comfortable working level. These did the trick. They match the finish, they seem to be well made, and the extra storage provided by the drawers is excellent. The only thing that made me think twice was the price, which I considered quite high, but in the end I figured that's just the cost of convenience.
