Research what you buy. Love it.
I did a lot of research on this unit. I wanted it for my RV (manufactures says not for RV). I work out of town a lot and wanted to keep my cloths clean with out having to spend my weekends in a laundry mat. I put my cloths in the unit in the morning, set the delay start for 5 hours,(so it will start at noon). select normal wash with extra water selection, set dryer knob to more dry. it takes about 5 hours to wash and dry two sets of cloths, (two jeans, shirts, socks, underwear). This way the cloths will still be warm and ready to come out and get folded when I get home from work. This unit is not made for a lot of traveling on bouncing roads, so if you use it in an RV like I do you will need to keep the shipping bolts and re-install them before moving down the road. I have read that some people have an issue with how long it takes for the unit to cool down before the door opens. (mine lasted over one hour after cloths were washed and dried),but I found that if I want them out faster all I have to do is hit the power button and the unit will turn off and unlock the door. If you know what you are buying, you will not be disappointed with this unit. I kinda thought it was funny when the sales rep was constantly telling me," you know it takes longer do dry cloths with this unit." Yes, I did my research on this and love it. I recommend this to anyone to whom this unit would work well for.

Perfect unit for small apartments
I love this washer. It's perfect if you live in an apartment like mine that lacks a lot of extra space and an external venting source. The great thing about the combo is you don’t need to move your clothes from washer to dryer, so I can put a load in before I go to work, and it will be both washed and dried when I get home! The key to success with this washer is that you must do SMALL loads. I only fill the drum up half way with clothes for each load. If you do this, it will only take about 2 hours for the full wash and dry cycle, which isn't much longer than a typical washer and dryer. The unit calculates how much time it will take to dry based on the weight of the clothes inside the machine, so if you fill it up all the way with heavy items, then it probably will take 4 hours or more to wash and dry. Just take a few things out and it will calculate a much more reasonable timeframe. For me this is not that inconvenient since the unit is in my apartment and I can do loads whenever I feel like....waaay more convenient than humping all my clothes to the laundromat! Having this unit in my apartment has upped my quality of life dramatically just by eliminating the laundromat from my life. Highly recommend!

    rather go to the launderette
This is very badly designed. The asket in front gets moldy because the water builds up in the channels and there is no drain Almost impossible to dry manually - do you want to get out shop vac after every load of wash?. Even with wiping it out after every wash, leaving the door open to air out, running sanitize cycles and using powdered soap and no fabric softener (and running sanitize cycles with bleach or vinegar), I still get mold and then my clothes smell like mold. Very high maintenance to prevent the mold and not really worth the time considering how expensive this is. In order to clean out the lint and buildup, you have to practically take the machine apart. Mine is in a built in custom kitchen and it is a nightmare to do this. All other part that might need a regular service are also similarly inaccessible so , in addition to the high cost of purchase, there is a very high cost of maintenance. I had combo HE front loaders in europe and never had to do more than a moment's maintenance and never had issues. This one is more trouble than it is worth. Drying time is LONG. Like for lightweight summer sundresses and underwear and not even a full load 1.5-2 hrs long. When I can hang my clothes outside I can just about bear this thing, but when I can't, I curse it's existence with all my heart. Less energy efficient that you would think as you have to keep running sanitize loads and cleaning it out after the bleach and vinegar and whatever else you can think of to get rid of the mold. $250 to replace gasket and clean out lint, so not cost effective Pros - it is space saving, is gentle on clothes (more gentle than TL models with agitator) and looks nice

This machine surpasses all of my expections. I had a different machine previously and it was terrible COMPARED to the LG. This purchase is a good one.

        A Solid Value
This smaller front load washer/dryer combo holds an amazing amount of laundry for its size and washes them thoroughly. It has many cycle selections to accomodate any load and variation. The dryer works quite well and takes the added length of time to dry because it runs on 120 volts, not 240. That being known, this machine is the best in its class.

          Worst purchase ever!!
Worst product I have ever bought. Worked great for first 6 months. I got this because I was put into a wheelchair because of hip problems and I was still able to do things around the house with this machine. Then things started going wrong...pump after pump after pump. Should have been replaced a long time ago with the lemon law and we did buy the warranty offer. my only advice if you do buy this make sure you get some kind of extended warranty.

Good for some, not for all
This washer/dryer is a perfect fit for me. Easy to use and excellent design. But - it does take a ridiculous amount of time to do a full cycle. The reviews and research are all in agreement about this so if you don't mind waiting (better yet, leave and come back a few hrs later) I would recommend this compact all-in-one unit.

I chose to pay for this so it's my fault
If you like to have your clothes wrinkled, covered in lint, and scalding hot when you remove it from a washer/dryer that also simulates a 4.3-magnitude earthquake in your fourth floor loft during the spin cycles, then I highly recommend this machine. If you like to wait at least 3.5 hours each time you wash and dry a small load of laundry, then I recommend this machine even more. If you enjoy the sounds of a drill rig operation in your home, this might be the washer/dryer for you. For me, this did not quite fit the bill. In fact, I never imagined that a washing machine would cause me so much stress and anxiety that I am willing to sell my condo and rent a place where I can use a vented dryer just so I can get away from this nightmare that I paid $1500 for. I have put my engineering degree to use by attempting to mitigate at least the vibration problem, but to no avail. The best solution for me at this point, is to do my laundry at my mom's house with her trusty Maytag machines. The main problems include: 1. Long wash and dry cycle (3+ hours for a small load in normal mode) 2. Significant vibration problem despite machine being level and load being light 3. Extremely noisy

                Wonderful Machine
I live in an apartment complex where management doesn't fix problems too well. My dryer vent coming into my laundry room fell out of the top of the ceiling; and with it, a pile of compacted lint. This was on the inside, not the outside of my apartment. The dryer vent outside access is about 12 feet in the air and obviously, the height and the way it funneled through my ceiling, prevented me from cleaning it. I knew management didn't care, but I did because another apartment burned down with a fire that started in the laundry room. Besides, my appliances were old and I knew sooner or later, one or both would die. I have always wanted a front loader, and when I learned it was a combination washer/dryer, which was ventless, I was elated! I am fascinated by this machine and how convenient it is. I have had no problem whatsoever with the clothes being completely dry upon removal. My laundry looks clean and smells fresh. The convenience is great not having to transfer laundry from one machine to another. The only feature lacking is that on some cycle selections, the dry feature is not continuos after washing. You have to use the Drain/Spin cycle after the washer stops to engage the drying option. According to the instructions, it does state that drying is not included in some cycles to protect certain types of fabrics. Some people complained, about the time factor, but for me, this is not a problem, it's a learning curve from a regular washer/dryer. High efficiency products take longer to wash, and the drying method is condensation drying, which is a new concept to me. Overall, I am very satisfied and would recommend this machine. I really love it! I've been washing everyday and sitting and watching it like a cat, I'm sure that novelty will wear off. It's so cool, like a spaceship with all the lights and controls.

                    Great for small space
What a space saver! It's a different way of doing laundry which takes a time or two to sink in. The unit washes well with he detergent. My trick for the dryer is to dry jeans and sweaters on a rack. That save wear and tear on the drum, and everything dries that much faster, and without the wrinkles.

                      Perfect choice for us
We purchased this a year ago when we remodeled our kitchen in our 'fixer' condo. The floor plan for our condo put the washer and dryer in the kitchen, leaving very little space for kitchen stuff. I bought this model so it would fit under the counter right next to the dishwasher. I thought we were making a compromise due to the small size, but this is better than our old full size top load set. Yes it does take a long time to do a load, but with the time delay and the multiple options, it works well for us. We can put a load in before bed and it's done in the morning or in the morning before we leave and it's done when we get home. The only drawback is when we get behind in the laundry, it is a little more trouble to get caught up, but there is a speed wash cycle that only takes half an hour, then I just have to hang dry, which I usually do to about half my laundry anyway, even when I had a separate dryer. Also, you can't really over-dry stuff, which my husband used to do quite frequently. It took a little while to perfect my system, but now my clothes are cleaner, softer, look better, last longer, have less wrinkles, and my family has incentive to not let the laundry pile up. I have a lot of delicates that need to hang dry and I can actually use the dryer on the 30 min setting with no ill-effects and my delicates will then hang dry in half the time. Sadly we may be leaving our newly remodeled condo to move into our 'fixer' house that actually has an outdoor laundry station, which is typical for Hawaii. But I love this machine so much, I am planning on installing one in the master bath. LG also has a larger one I might consider. Oh, did I mention that my electric bill went down by $40 a month.

                      The perfect big city machine
My GF and I live in NYC, in a ground floor apt in a big building. We always hated shlepping our many pounds of clothes out to the laundromat in the rain and snow. We always seemed to get into arguments every other Wednesday (monotonous laundry day stresses after work). ALL OF THAT IS GONE. Thank you LG. This machine is everything! Washes, dries, quiet, energy efficient, affordable compact for city living, diverse settings. YES YES YES. A millions times yes! Thank you :)

                        A real space saver
The washer/ventless dryer is a great asset to an apartment. It fits conveniently under the counter in the kitchen and is very quiet. The washer/ventless dryer washes clothes and dries them in the same unit. Pretty amazing.

                        LIFE SAVER!!!
This product has seriously improved the quality of my LIFE!!! I live in an old apartment building (only 2 washers/dryers for 48 unit building) in a neighborhood with no more laundromats) and I can't install a vented dryer. I was able to get rid of my dishwasher and install this unit in the same space. It has worked amazingly well, and the wash/dry times are actually shorter than I expected - sometimes as little as 2.5 hours for small loads! The spin cycles are quiet, and this unit doesn't make any more noise than a dishwasher! The clothes seem damp at first when you take them out, but if you shake them, they magically dry within seconds. It is weird! I did notice a little strange smell to the clothes as a result of the drying method (like a slightly burnt smell?) but the problem was solved with the addition of a TINY amount of fabric softener (seriously, like a thimble full). The machine seems to be able to handle larger loads than I originally thought, BUT the exception to this rule is, not so much with long pieces of clothes, such as long pants. Long pants tend to dry with big creases, so you will end up having to do more ironing than you would if you had a bigger machine. Large items like he sheets also tend to come out very wrinkly. However, all in all, I still give it 5 stars and consider it the best investment ever in my years of apartment living.!!! It is so awesome to be able to start some laundry and then go to work or go to sleep and come back and it's all done!! So great to not have to move the wash into another machine!! It's also great to be able to efficiently to very tiny loads of laundry (like whites) without too much water guilt. This unit is incredibly efficient on the water. I was initially worried that it would consume a ton of electricity on the dry cycle, but to my happy surprise, it has not made much (if any) difference to my electric bill even though I am using it about every other day. I would definitely recommend this machine. So far, I have had great experience with LG machines - bought a conventional LG washer & dryer for my ex about 6 years ago and the machines still work great. I definitely do also recommend purchasing the extended 5-year warranty mainly as jinx-control. :-)

                          Hopes were Dashed
I bought this unit so i could move my parents laundry upstairs out of the basement. The wash side of the unit worked well with no complaints. the dryer side was a big disappointment. We ended up having to take simple tshirts out after 45 minutes and putting them in the dryer down the basement. we tried another load and it was in the dryer for over an hour and still damp. It is a shame the dryer was not set up on a higher voltage so it would do a better job. We are returning the unit and will be purchasing a stacked set. Hoped to be able to do this simply but this unit just didn't perform as planned. I knew the drying cycles would be long but honestly the clothes didn't seem much dryer after 45 minutes than they did after the final spin cycle of the wash mode. I guess if you had somewhere you could hang things to dry it would be a good purchase, but it was awful expensive for what amounted to no real drying capability.

Should Last Longer Than 3.5 years...
This Washer/Dryer combo was purchased for my tenant. It was used for 1 year by a single woman, 1 year by a family with 2 toddlers, 1 year by a woman who didn't use it at all, and now six months into the fourth year, a couple with a baby. The tenant who didn't use it at all said it didn't work well. The current tenants contacted me because it is not working at all -doesn't spin! Is it a lemon ? I don't think so; I think it's pretty average. I bought the large capacity washer and large capacity dryer - both LG and both top of the line - less than five years ago and both are not working. The dryer hasn't dried well for about two years (but I can't afford to replace it) and now the washer sounds like it's taking off into space during the spin cycle.

Great option for condos with limited space
We bought this unit since it fit in all of the constraints we had in our condo and it has worked great so far. Rewiring our electrical to accommodate 220v for a separate dryer was not an option and we needed a ventless 120v combo washer and dryer that fit in a 25 inch opening. All of the wash cycle options you need are included, capacity is decent for a unit that is only 24 inches wide. Dry cycle takes a long time, but it does get your clothes dry. We have washed towels and jeans and it was able to dry them completely. One thing you can't do with this unit is build up a lot of laundry and then wash it all in one afternoon. A full wash/dry cycle is usually between 4-5 hours. We usually put a load in when we leave for work in the morning and one when we go to bed. Consistently doing small loads is what this machine does best. We previously had an Ariston that came with the condo and this unit is much better. Capacity is better, more features, and cycles are much quieter than the Ariston. Don't buy this unit if you are used to a separate washer dryer, but if your options are limited in what you can buy this machine is a great option and much better than having to go to a laundry mat. Know what it is before you buy it.

I love this washer dryer combo
I'm a massage therapist and run 1 load at the end of everyday. I love the sanitize cycle and my sheets are coming out completely dry. I have cleaned out the lint trap a couple of times which is easy to do. Only downfall I have seen is everything comes out with lots of wrinkles. I started to add a little fabric softener and that is helping about 50% better. I have had the unit now for about 60 days and happy I went with it.

This would be better if you could do a full load but can not in order to try to get your clothes dry. It would be good if it was easier to open. I can not open the door at all. I have to do laundry when my son is home because I can not get the door to open.

Great for Smallish or quirky spaces!
We purchased this unit for our new investment property. It's perfect for the small utility room which has NO dryer vent! This unit's size and condensation drying are a perfect match. Originally we purchased a stack washer-dryer from another maker, and upon install we found it was a lemon. On top of that, we had to use a dryer box which only blew hot air into the room which also contains the furnace. Its effective, quiet and has a ton of features. I would highly recommend this 2-in-1, especially for quirky spaces like my rental utility closet. On ultra- high, the dryer shakes, despite being completely leveled and not shaking before hand. So It cannot be used on ultra-high, but otherwise it performs perfectly! Love it!

                                  Fabulous product
I am an LG aficionado!! On the bedroom level, I have a LG washer and dryer. In the basement level where guests stay, I added a smaller set of LG washer dryer for their use and to save me trips to second floor with bedding and towels. Because I have a day care, I decided with the number of bibs, hand towels, washcloths etc. I use, it would be nice to have a washer dryer combo so I do not need to leave children unattended even for a few minutes. What a timesaver!!! My little ones help me with pressing the buttons and I am teaching them daily skills and being future LG users! I would only make one suggestion and that is that the washer switch to dryer mode automatically. I would gladly do another LG combo for this feature. Now I am looking to replace my refrigerator and you guessed it-- with an LG after a lot of research!! I love LG- reliable and nearly perfect. Please keep up the quality.

Due to space constraints this was the only machine that would fit in our laundry closet. Clothes dry completely albeit a bit more wrinkled than a traditional washer/dryer pair. It definitely does its job.

Poor Quality... DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!
We have had this machine for less than 2 years and have had it repaired 5 times... it quit working again today so make that 6. Now that the one year warranty is up we have had to pay for repairs three times! We take special care of the machine and wipe out the edges each time it is used to remove any lint. The clothes still come out wrinkled and damp every time. It takes between 4-6 hours to do a complete cycle... we only fill the machine less than half full (maybe the size of 4-5 large towels. I was nice to be able to put a load of clothes in at night and have them dry when you wake up in the morning but that is about the only good thing with this machine. DO NOT BUY!!!

                                      Very Poor Quality!
I love the features of this machine but it is very poor quality. We have had to have it repaired 6 times in less than 2 years. The warranty will only cover for 1 year. Now that the warranty is up we have had to pay for repairs almost every three months. I could have purchased a new unit for as much as this one has cost in repairs. Each cycle takes between 4-6 hours to complete and this is when we only have a half load. The clothes always come out damp and very wrinkled. Now... that being said... I do like that I can put a load of clothes in the washer and when I wake up in the morning they are clean. This is very convenient. The machine does not have a lint trap but we wipe out the inside seal each time we use it and haven't had a problem with it getting clogged.

Compact and it delivers more than I expected!!!!
This washer/dryer has made my washing life very easy. Works beautifully and my clothes come out Perfect for the setting I have chosen. I have the model in silver and it looks great in my condo at the Westgate in Park City. I chose to have a plumber install the machine. However that is not a requirement. The combo does not require a great deal of soap I use about a 1/2 tsp. each time and my clothes come Out really clean. I also like to wash in cold water Instead of hot or warm water.

                                            Works great except....
This is a great machine to have. Just put some soap in it, push a few buttons and you're done. Come back in a few hours and it dry. There is however a few drawbacks you must consider. Get the protection plan because you will use it. One of the biggest issues with this unit is that lint can build up in a plastic basin in the machine. The basin is a very odd shape and hard to clean out without a bit of know how and certain tools. A google search will show how it's done. We have had it for almost two years. We had the drain pump replaced because the impeller blade detached from the pump and the basin cleaned out twice. One way to minimize the basin cleaning is to run the "Tub wash cycle" at least once a month if not more. Over all I might buy a product like this again, however, LG needs to redesign the the machine so Johnny Q Consumer can clean out the lint himself.

                                            Works Well
I love putting a load in, coming back & it is done, can't get much easier than that. A few draw backs: no lint trap--I have pets and a lot of hair, a lint trap would be helpful and sometimes it seems to have an odor but my clothes do not smell. Overall a great machine. Saves a ton of space, user friendly and worry free.
