LG 2.3 CU FT. Washer\Dryer
I am beyond impressed with the performance, convenience and quality of finished laundry. No matter the size load (light or heavy) this unit has always been able to handle it with the result of clean and fresh finished laundry. I'm not very technical but after owning this unit for 5 months I have enjoyed the features and quality of it's performance and have seen the value of it's energy efficiency.

Definately maybe
With this combo unit, I am relearning how to do laundry and forcing myself to do smaller loads more often, which is possible in a two person household. I like the size and featrures, but my criticisms are the lingering odor of burnt rubber and the inconvenience of cleaning the vent trap. This unit needs a pedestal!

WORST APPLIANCE EVER
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT - Read below for a honest review. This product may sound like a great idea but in fact it is THE WORST thing ever. Takes roughly 4-5 hours to 1 load. If you live alone and your life is not fast paced this will make your life a DOOMED. I believe I've said enough to let you know that I 100% regret purchasing this and I advise you not to do the same. Hopefully I can sell it on eBay. :-)

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!
I"ve had this a week. Each time is an adventure. It's quiet and gets the clothes clean. I am amazed at the small amount of electricity it uses. When you remove the clothes after dry time, they feel damp. A minute or two later, they are dry. It takes a long time to do a load, but it's well worth it. Due to the high tech of this machine, I am getting the 3 year warranty for $129.

    Thought this was great.......
We were excited for this space saving and energy efficient machine. We were overly happy with it for about a month, than it broke the first time. The machine failed and filled its self with water while the power was off and when we opened the door to begin a load,we gallons of water flood our floor. Once we got that problem fixed it ran perfect again for about another month. This time the gasket that seals the door failed and again allowed gallons of water to flood our home. We spent a ton of money on this and we've had to spend hundreds in repairs to the machine and our home on top of that. It is energy efficient though, since you cant use it ever.......

    LG Model # WM3477HW
I recently purchased a condo which had a small footprint stackable washer/drier that needed to be updated. I decided on the LG 24" washer/drier combo unit because the reviews that I read online seemed favorable and I liked the 10 year warranty. The delivery and install went smoothly. I think the wash functions that I've used so far work properly and get my laundry clean but the dryer function is an absolute disaster. When the laundry is done drying, usually after about 2 hours, it stinks of rubber which does not dissipate after removal from the unit. I find this smell quite objectionable and discovered that others have posted similar complaints online. Apparently the manufacturer does not consider this a problem and has no interest in fixing it. The only advice that I've come across, which I've not yet tried, is to use a low temperature setting for drying. I will attempt this and if it does not eliminate the odor I will definitely be attempting to return the unit for credit against a new stackable that consists of essentially the same washer without the drier function and a separate drier unit. Dave.

    Terrible!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From the day I bought this machine I have been disappointed and should have returned it but I thought it was just a learning curve on my part. Not true. It shakes the entire house when it is spinning. So much so that once it shook the water lines off and flooded my laundry room. It doesn't do a very good job of drying anything! I have drying racks in my laundry room. We've had it repaired shortly after purchasing for a wire ring issue. Hoping to get some type of repair to alleviate the terrible vibration issue. The only plus is it looks nice and if you have a small space, as I do, it fits.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've now had this for 8 months and I could not be happier.

        Gets the job done!
This is our second LG ventless washer/dryer. The condo we have doesn't have an outside vent so this solves the problem. Our last unit lasted 9 years so we really can't complain. It's small and it takes longer than a regular washer and dryer but it's better than going to the laundry. It's very energy efficient and runs on standard 110 which is nice.

It's like they've never heard of lint
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned this for about 2 years. I've had to disassemble it 3 times to clean lint out of the inner drying mechanism. It passes so much lint through the drain that it backed up our entire sewer line within a year. We've tried lint filters, but it fills them completely and floods the house within 5-10 cycles. Would not install this in a multi-unit building because it causes such backup issues, and hard to justify the compact unit when you need a laundry sink to drain into to prevent all the overflows.

Incredible Little Machine - In my opinion it is the Cadillac of Combo Washer/Dryers
I have a small 700 sq Foot Condo with no venting options and limited space. I researched lots of units. Kenmore, LG (Separates) and other combo models. This is the perfect size solution. For starters it is your regular American 3 prong 110 grounded plug. With wheels and the right faucet adapter you could hook it up to your kitchen sink. I have mine in a stationary location. It does include the water hose for hook up to hot and cold. Unpack and installation took the delivery guys less than 1/2 an hour. I have used it almost a dozen times now. Select your wash and dry cycle, push a button and it is good to go!. It is AWESOME... AND HEAR ME.... IT DRYS PERFECTLY, Heavier fabrics will take longer, but it does dry them. It is very quiet to begin with, I have a tight space in a closet so I did pack foam cushion on the sides to make it even quieter., Separates will cost you just a bit more, But honestly if you have a small space this combo model is your solution. Two Thumbs LG for getting it right!!!

          Amazing value for the size
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this item in November since I was upgrading all of my appliances. This unit is made for apartments, coops and condos. It fits perfectly in my unit. I got it in stainless steel and it is so compact and does a full load of laundry so quickly. So economical and my monthly bills have gone down.

Worst ever Shakes the entire house.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this machine for about a year. Looks great, energy efficient, fits a small space BUT it doesn't dry the clothes and it literally shakes the entire house when it is operating. It has shaken the valves loose from the fittings causing a huge mess with water over the entire laundry room. Now I only operate it on medium spin and it still shakes the house.

              Never dry
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a small house and have this combo unit. It is my first combo unit and I thought I would be okay with my clothes not drying all the way. I don't understand how other people say it dries because my things are still damp and hot and it smells like burning rubber Definitely would not recommend

                Improved combo unit
The washer/dryer works well, and is much quieter and more reliable than my old Equator unit. My only gripes are a slight burnt rubber smell and the cost of the unit. The Home Delivery and Installation team was great; they came on time, worked efficiently and got me up and running.

Completely Broke Down within 18 Months
Hey LG, my washer/dryer all in one combo that is only 18 months old won't run and the warranty is up. What a dud!!! We own 4 other LG washers and dryers that are 7 years old and have had no problems. What is up with the washer/dryer combo breaking down after only 18 months???
                by
The time and energy consumption for this unit is awful!! The quality of the drying cycle is awful!!

                    LG Washer/Dryer combo
I have been using my new LG Washer/Dryer combo for 2 months now. I have never owned a combo unit like this, but I love it so far. Loads can take up to 4-5 hours to completely wash and dry, depending on load size. Have found that if I just use the 'Damp Dry' dryer setting, clothes are not so wrinkled and I just hang them for a short time to finish drying.

                      Really happy with this purchase
I bought this in Sept 2014 for a cabin. Left it in box in carport all winter in below zero weather. Finally got it installed in July 2015. I was really worried that it might not work but it is now November 2015 and it is working perfectly. Most of the summer I dried clothes outside but have been using the dryer feature now that it is snowing. Perfect for our small family. The only things I have to take to the laundromat are large items like the sofa slipcover and a king size comforter. The washer handles sheets, towels, jeans, sweatshirts just fine. It takes a bit longer to wash or dry than conventional machines but much better than piling up loads of laundry to take to town to the laundromat every week. We did take care to ensure that the machine is level. Vibration is minimal..and the best part..it plays an awesome little tune when it is done.

                        Easy Installation & Great Space-Saver
We opted for this unit instead of a stacked washer/dryer so that we could gain the extra closet space that the previous W/D set took up. Giving up the dryer and gaining that usable space is significant when living in a small condo. It'll be nice to install some shelving and additional storage. The setup took less than 20 minutes. I followed the instructions, but it is simple enough that all you need to do is attach the water hoses, clip the drain hose in place, plug in the power cord and start washing. The laundry capacity is decent, but probably less than what I was previously able to do. A full wash & dry cycle can easily take ~1 - 1.5 hrs. So, you'll just have to adjust your schedule to washing smaller loads more frequently. We'll be using the delayed start feature so a load is done during the day and then we can do another one or two at night.

Home Depot delivered and set up the washer/dryer. They made sure the washer/dryer worked and informed me where I would need to clean it etc.. Showing me the features was great that a delivery person knew enough about the washer. Great product and great customer service.

                          I'm In Heaven
I live in a apartment that does not have a washer/dryer hookup - this LG is heaven sent!!! No more having to buy heavy rolls of quarters to wash in the on site laundry room or having to clean caked blue powder detergent off the tops of the washers behind the neighbors or clean out lint traps that the users should have. I've been using my new washer/dryer combo almost every evening for about a week. I purchased a portability kit from Compact Appliance on-line $79 to use my bathroom sink as the water source and I attached the castors which allows me to move my machine a little out of the closet where it's stored. You can buy castors and the faucet adaptor and quick connect a lot cheaper at Home Depot! I needed inlet hoses approximately 13.5 inches, so i purchased my inlet hoses from Home Depot - no leaks and with the faucet adapter all is well. The only thing left is to adapt the drain hoses so that the water can drain directly into my shower/tub - my current mode is a little labor intensive - i have the drain hose going into a tall, heavy plastic trash can - it's a temporary workaround. Overall, the clothes are clean and dry, ever so slightly damp but then i expected it based on the comments - but only slightly damp a few minutes the clothes are dry. Total wash/dry time is about 1.5 hrs - about the same as using a separate washer & dryer in the laundry room on site. I use the "speed wash" and indicate the dry the cycle that will dry 99% of the clothes 100%, something heavier may be ever so slightly damp, but that really doesn't matter. To no longer having to lift heavy hampers and laundry products up and down stairs and going back and forth to the laundry room is wonderful. I put in a load when i get home from work and can sit and relax, watch TV, do house work, etc. Do yourself a favor and spend the money - it is an investment in piece of mind, autonomy and it's YOURS to take with you wherever you go!!!

One year later, already needs a new door seal
We loved this machine when we first got it. But one month after the one year warranty expires and the rubber door seal has cracked and the unit now leaks water on every run. For the price of this machine, definitely expected better quality parts and more longevity out of it. It doesn't look terribly difficult to fix, but it definitely makes me question LG's commitment to the consumer.

Only fill machine at half capacity & you will be happy. Keep it clean around seal & be even happier. Expensive but good value. Especially if you do not want to poke a hole in your wall to vent dryer

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Some important points to consider if you buy this unit: SMALL LOADS. In order to use the dryer function, you can only load the tub halfway. I wouldn't recommend this for a family, it's better suited for just one or two people, unless you have time to do laundry every day. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. This unit does not operate like a normal washer and dryer. You will need to "relearn" how to do laundry. REGULAR UPKEEP. Make sure to wipe the tub and door after every wash so hair/lint doesn't build up. You will also need to check the lint trap and run a wash cycle every so often. It definitely requires a lot more upkeep than a normal washer and dryer. I've had my unit for close to 6 months now. If I had to do it all over again, I'm not sure I would repurchase. This thing vibrates like crazy!! Even though we have cement floors, I don't use the spin cycle when drying for fear it will fall through the ceiling (we are on the second floor). Even on the Low spin setting it manages to shake/vibrate the floor in a five foot radius. It also gets very, VERY HOT. Even my clothes have started coming out of the dryer with a gross burnt smell that doesn't dissipate over time. I tried cleaning the tub with Affresh and cleaning the lint trap, but the clothes still stink. I now have to either hang dry or dry on the low temp setting :( On the good side, its small size allows it to fit anywhere, which I really needed. It's much more energy and water efficient than my old unitized unit. I also love how it plays an adorable little song when a cycle is finished. Overall, it's a great option if you really can't have an outside vent and don't mind doing your laundry a bit differently than normal.

Decent if you have no other options
Pros:- -Didn't need any hook ups other then water & standard electrical socket. -Small footprint -Quiet (on ground floor) Cons: -Cloths come out wrinkled -Takes 3-5 hours for one load -No way to just do a 'dry' cycle This is my first combo unit, as it was the only option I had in the space I had available. This isn't your traditional washer and dryer, and have had to modify my laundry routine slightly. All in all this is a good unit for what it is.

I bought this about a month ago. It's my 2nd one. I liked the first, but this one is substantially better. I have a small space which makes it perfect. Low enery costs and low water usage.

                                  Great for a camper!
Bought this for our 5th wheel camper. It just fit in the closet. It is heavy and bulky, but the closet is big and we can still hang clothes over it. It sits right over the hitch which is a good location. So far I have only used it once. Worked great! Not too noisy, only took 3 hours for clothes to be completely dry. Yes, they were wrinkled, but hanging them while they were still hot took care of most of the wrinkles and who cares when you are camping? Be sure not to overload it. The instructions warn against that. It will take longer and lead to more wrinkles, which is common sense. You can only do small loads. Laundromats are expensive and inconvenient. I look forward to using my own clean washer and dryer as we travel.

Poor quality machine...3 repairs in 3 years
This washer/dryed worked perfect for the first two years but from then on it seems to break down every couple of months. First the drain hose ($40 for a hose) started leaking due to the poor restraint design. Then the drain pump stopped working as well as few months later (~$50). Now not barely a month after that the washer wont turn on so it is likely either the display board (~$80) or the main control board ($150)...I am a Mechanical Engineer so I can make the repairs myself, but if I wasnt able to then I would have had to shell more than the washer is worth on repairs already. Do yourself a favor and do not buy this!
