Spend more and buy something that will last
This lock was installed four years ago. As you can see, it has a significant amount of rust on it. And this was AFTER having the rust cleaned off a few times. It keeps coming back, so something is subpar about the metal finish.

looks good, but finish and mechanism failed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought several of these a few years ago. Finish on handsets and deadbolts didn't hold up with corrosion and discoloration. On one door the mechanism jammed and door could not be opened. Had to remove mechanism by sawing and chiseling it out. Lock unconditionally guaranteed forever and after sending kwikset pictures of the locks they were replaced at no charge with new ones. Good warranty, product could be improved.

Looks great, easy to install, comes with the screws and 2 keys. Could have used 4 keys but both locks use the same key. We were able to replace the same type of door know without removing the center piece on the know but not the dead bolt lock. Still pretty simple.

Very cheaply made, plastic parts inside the know that wouldn't fit.
Got Defiant brand since Kwiset couldn't be installed due to poor quality. Never buying that brand again.

Not happy with aligning the dead bolt tail piece. Better locks have a small trumpeted shaft at one end to help guide the tail piece. This module required precision alignment to work. Just installed, looks good, works fine
