Overall the Kohler shower drain is heavy good quality...
Overall the Kohler shower drain is heavy good quality brass construction. But I feel is over priced compared to other drains of the same construction. The strainer plate I feel could be made of thicker material smaller diameter holes and more of them.

I ordered this drain to go with the Tresham 60"...
I ordered this drain to go with the Tresham 60" x 36" single threshold left-hand drain shower base with integral right-hand seat. It's very sturdy looking and looks nice installed.

The drain is fine, but it did not fit the shower pan that we also purchased. It is still in the house in the mountains that we are working on, but I plan to return it since my plumber had to purchase one locally there that was a better fit. I' m not sure I have the receipt available any more.

The drain works fine. Home Depot lost track of it for 24 hours and I had to deal with the online resolution center to get it all sorted out. Beware buying plumbing from Home Depot online if you are on short lead times with your project. Try local plumbing stores first. The online resolution center was helpful but store customer service was not.

Nice heavy duty unit. It doesn't screw into a shoe though, you have to drive a rubber gasket (supplied) down between it and the drain pipe and that is a little tricky
