Cost too much but works very well

Very easy to install, except it was a little hard getting the gasket inbetween the ABS pipe and the drain housing. But once its in it will not leak.

This drain is recommended when you order a tub / shower surround combination. Problem is it is a shower drain that cannot be used for a bathtub. There is no way to seal it when taking a bath. Why it is paired with this tub shower is a mystery.

I received my Kohler drain and shower pan and my husband was installing this weekend and the strainer is missing. Can I just get a strainer? It is installed.

Worked perfectly for our new bathroom remodel!!!

I have not installed it yet, still have tear out to do before installing new plumbing.

Very nice drain unit for the Kohler cast iron shower base. The plumber did have a challenge installing the rubber seal between the PVC drain pipe and the drain assembly but I assume that means that everything fits tight and, therefore, won't leak. I'm pleased.

Assembling the drain onto shower pan was straightforward. But after placing the shower pan into position, I had difficulty getting the gasket connector (75448) over the pvc drain pipe. It would not slide down into the fully seated position when I tried hammering down with a board (I used liquid soap as a lubricant). There were no helpfull hints or trouble shooting in the instructions. I eventually used a flat tipped screw driver to work around the perimeter of the inside surface of the gasket to pinch it down into the fully seated position. I'm not a plumber so tricks of the trade would have been helpful to a mechanically challenged consumer doing the self installation. I poured a few buckets of water into the shower pan to check for leaks and all was good. No leaks!

Overpriced, but mediocre quality.
