This was a custom order so I had to wait a few weeks, but the window arrived earlier than initially expected. Good quality window for the price, but the orientation sticker was put on upside down, so I initially installed it upside down which meant I had to unscrew it and re-caulk it which was messy. Overall Jeldwen windows are good value and normally easy to install, just check right side up sticker if you have a square window prior to installing.

The two JELD-WEN Sliding Windows that we recently purchased at HD were exactly what we were looking for to continue our back porch patio project. They are nicely-constructed for the price and have a smooth operation. Granted, they are not in the league of Pella, but if you are on a budget, these windows are very very nice. The order experience at HD was smooth and easy and the windows actually arrived ahead of schedule. They were well-packed and arrived at my local score in pristine condition. With the help of a friend, I was able to install both windows very effectively and they fit nicely into the rough openings with just minor shimming and tweaking. Worthy of 5-star rating.

The window came to us defective, it would not slide...
The window came to us defective, it would not slide open...skipped off the track. We could not reinstall the old window so we will have plastic covering the hole for 6-8 weeks while waiting for a new, new window. And the first window took 6-8 weeks to get. So much for “more doing”!
