I've put together quite a number of ceiling fans, so not having instructions wasn't a big deal, with one exception which will be mentioned below. The fan looks great after assembly. The packaging was such that the blade attachment screws with fiber washers were in a package separate from the blade bracket screws, making it easy to identify which was which. All items were packaged nicely. The blades are the same color on both sides. A remote control is included and is intuitive and easy to use, with one exception, again mentioned below.. However, the receiver for the remote is a somewhat large plastic box that does not fit into the ceiling bracket cover. Apparently, it must be fit into the ceiling somehow, which is a problem if the installation is "old work", with the ceiling completely surrounding the ceiling box. Maybe there are instructions for this? The remote controls the 3-speed fan; Low, Medium, High, as well as the LED light. However, even though the light is dimmable, you don't know when the light is at its dimmest before it circles back to full brightness. You have to count the dimming steps to know when the light is at its lowest setting. One more push, and it's bright again. One more thing; the reverse switch used to reverse the direction of rotation is located on the top of the motor. You can't see it after installation. If you want to operate that switch, you have to stand on a step stool and feel around for it on top of the motor. Okay, so it looks great, it's quiet, and the light is bright and dimmable. No instructions can be a deal breaker for the technically challenged.

This Renwick 54 inch Ceiling Fan packs some nice features into a relatively inexpensive fan. I have a total of seven ceiling fans inside my home and one outside. A couple of them are high-end fans that cost over $500. Those are in the master bedroom and family room, but my pocket can't afford that for every room. This Renwick Fan is in the mid to lower price range but it is nice looking and good quality. I had this installed in my son's room in 30 minutes. The design is simple and modern. I love the flat LED light. It takes up far less space than the hanging lights found on older fans. I also like the six blades. It's a nice change. On high this fan puts out a lot of air. I prefer in wall remotes over handheld but at least it comes with a mounting bracket. Overall this is a very good buy.

The fan looked really nice on the website, but when it arrived, the blade colors just weren't what we wanted so it was returned.

love the look of them and the 6 blades make it look pretty unique. easy installation. very good quality, fan is very quite and straight out of the box it did not need adjustment, it had little to no wobble at all. I have mostly all positives to say, but just a couple of cons; the remote that is provided is kind of cheap looking and doesn't match the fan in quality. the light is super bright, and I have to keep it on a dimmer setting, but I also have to say that it doesn't dim very low, at the lowest setting it is still at about 30%, I wish it would dim all the way down.

Overall it's ok. Light is obnoxiously bright, the remote that comes with it controls the lights on/off with no dimmer adjustment. The box says you can dim it... so you have to purchase a dimmer switch and wire it in to be able to control the lights brightness. Fan has three speeds controllable by remote. The fan direction can only be controlled by a switch on the top of the fan. There is also extremely limited room for wiring the remote receiver and on an angled roof you will have to move the receiver outside the box. However it is very well balanced and works great once you have it set up... Just plan to wire a dimmer switch on the light circuit Don't be mislead by the box.

So sad I cannot use it just yet...we need a new house. We live in a 100 year old country home that has 7'6" ceilings and it is HARD to find a nice hugger fan with cool styling like this. So I tried it and 7'6" minus 14" to lowest tip of blade is sadly a recipe for busted knuckles. The fan is awesome...good air flow, cool design, nice LED efficient lighting. I just wish it was available as a hugger or at least convertible to be shorter without the 4" extension rod. Be sure your ceiling height will support a fixture height of almost 15" to the bottom of light...that information was not exactly available when I selected this fixture to go into our bedroom. Still, it is a snazzy, awesome modern fixture that is very functional.

This review is for the home depot Home Decorators Collection Renwick 54 in. Brushed Nickel Ceiling Fan. This is a middle of the road design between full blown modern and traditional. You get the good classic looks of wood grain with the new LED slim design lighting system that looks much better than the old hang down individual lights of the seventies. You will notice that wiring the new fans with remote controls can be a tad of a challenge to get the remote receiver stuffed into its little slot. You have to do some wire pushing around. This is the same with all of them, as I have just installed four different brands and styles in my home. Really looks good. Heavy

I have never owned a 6 blade fan, let me tell you the wind flow is by far extreme compared to a 4 and 5 blade ceiling fan. This model is the most beautiful and decor compatible that i have ever seen. There are two shades available for the fan blades, a maple shade and a dark walnut. The LED lighted glass dome attachment has a beautiful etched cut glass design. It is super easy to install, not difficult at all. Love the remote control! Should definitely install it in a room at least 15-20 ft. The airflow is truly amazing. I love this ceiling fan! Very well made!

Love this fan! Modern looking, really puts out the air, its oversized, and has remote! No wobbling, shaking and the light is awesome too!

It took about an hour to install this unit, and that included swapping the remote for a wall inset remote. There were no surprises, there was ample space for the new remote, and the fan was perfectly balanced out of the box. Pleasantly surprised by the brightness of the LED light. Except for the sound of moving air, there is virtually no noise from the motor.

the installation wiring harnesses were a little too short to make this install a snap. that said works and looks fine

We have to exchange for another new fan because some screws and bolts are missing. But nevertheless, I like the style and model of the fan.

The installation procedures need to be rewritten to accommodate the close quarters when installing the remote transmitter/receiver. There is just too little room but there are modifications to the installation procedures that would greatly simplify the installation, e.g. inserting the remote before attaching the multiple power wires, not after; removing on the special screw on the hood before placing the assembled unit in the ceiling...especially with a 12 foot ceiling! Great fan, however. Very quiet and looks like a fan costing much more. Certainly recommend it.

This is a great looking fan that works well and is quiet. Here is the big problem. It comes with a remothe control that needs a receiver in the fan assembly. It must fit in the canopy that covers the mounting bracket. It is so big that this is not possible. I had to cut a hole in the ceiling and fit it there adding a lot of extra work. The canopy should have been designed larger or the receiver much smaller for this to work properly. Just more shoddy design work from Home Depot for a premium priced fan from their Home Decorator collection

Within one month the led light failed and would only flicker like a strobe light on all settings. This is a total piece of trash! Do not buy!

I'm very pleased with this fan. The 6 larger fan blades move a lot of air. It was installed in a new construction cabin project with a Rustic theme, so the design of the fan goes great with the style I was looking for. It has nice clean lines, and is not ornate or busy, and would go well with several decorating styles. I'm personally a fan of the oil rubbed bronze, but the fan is also available in brushed nickle. You can also choose between the darker Walnut finish on the fan blades on one side, or a lighter Maple finish on the other side of the fan blades. It has a remote control to operate the fan and light, and has an LED light source. I didn't install the fan personally, but there were no complications during the install, so if you have experience installing a ceiling fan, it should be relatively easy.

Renwick 54in Led fan is an excellent choice for any room. Its a big fan with a lot of blades and does move a lot of air. Installation is very straight forward like any other ceiling fan. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. Pros: Looks great easy to install Led light is bright (17w) remote is easy to use dual mount application Cons: does get a bit loud at higher speeds (might be due to the pitch of the blade)

Overall, I would definitely recommend this fan. It looks great and is quiet. The light is sufficiently brightly and has a dimmer. The only small detractor was the installation process. Not terrible, but some steps could have been easier.

Looks great. Easy install. Noisy fan in general but if you turn the light off when fan is on, it gets even MORE noisy. Not very quiet or relaxing as a result.

We've been looking for a ceiling fan for our living room and we are so happy we got this one. The size is perfect and the 5 blades definitely works better since our room is fairly big. Of course, the look of it is grest. Very stylish and modern which is exactly what we were looking for. The only drawback is that the light it not that bright so we need more lighting in the room but apart from that great fan.

It installed quite easily. Wobbles a bit at the highest speed. They included weights for balancing, but didn't include instructions for how to do it.

I had to adapt the fan base due to the fact that it is for only flush mount electrical box.

great looking fan, but the light does not light a room.. acts more like a spot light. After a few days.. the fan kit blew and could no longer turn fan/light on.

Ordered online and got this fan last night . Installed it today . It is difficult to install it. Not the fan itself but the remote control receiver that should be installed below the ceiling and inside the cap . It looks very pretty. I really like it

Installed this fan this past weekend and i was very impressed with its functionality, looks, feel and the way it works. Matches very good with my home decor. Easy to install tho i did have a friend help me to make it that much easier as i like to take my time doing these things. Nice air flow. Great multi speeds. Works like a champ and looks like i have a multi million dollar living room. Have gotten so many positive comments about it.

Nice looking fan - no issues regarding functionality. However, I did notice minor imperfections in workmanship here and there. Purchased two fans, took one back for swap out; it had a few unremovable blemishes on the nickel motor housing. Opened two others up at the store for inspection - they had minor scratches here and there. Manufacturer should tighten up their quality inspection on these.
