The closing mechanism is stated to be a magnet. There are screw heads where the doors come together, but if there is a magnet anywhere in this door, I have not been able to find it.

Opening and closing the shutters is a bit challenging as they don’t move smoothly. They look nice in the windows though.

Finish was good on the shutters. The company has improved the product by using white painted hinges. I have used many sets of these shutters and the problem has always been that the hinges rust.

Easy to install and looks great in my bathroom-

I love it! It fits perfectly in my bathroom window.

I ordered three sets for the bedroom windows, and they easy enough to install. All of the measurements that I took were all correct. However, the shutters did not meet even at top, and were off a bit where they meet to close. These were livable. I ordered five more sets for the dining area, and they also installed easily, however, these were worse in the way they closed and terribly uneven at the top!! The screws on the shutters themselves in the first group I ordered were painted white; the second group were not...so I don't know if they are from different manufacturers. I am going to return the five from the second order, and am not sure if I will reorder. I may look elsewhere for shutters.

Good product. Easy to install.

Shutters are easy to install and look very nice. I have received compliments on them. They come with extra strips of wood that can be added to the sides of the shutters during installation if the shutters aren't quite wide enough to close fully. I am wondering if there is a kit I can buy to add additional panels to the shutters for an extra wide window I have that needs shutters.

Well made, good material, very good appearance. I lucked out on mounting because my particular application was not addressed in the instructions. Measure carefully and download the installation directions prior to ordering so there are no surprises.
